Abstract

The issue of the beginning of new month in hijri calendar, particularly often involves many aspects theologically and scientifically such as astronomy. This involvement aims at minimizing the difference on determining the beginning of month. This article tries to advance astronomy, from scientific aspect, as one of the ways to minimize, not to say eliminate, the difference in determining the beginning of hijri new month. This study refers to the development of modern astronomy, especially with special reference to on-line computerized technology, that plays a pivotal role in the development of hisab and rukyat. This article does not, however, provide detailed exposition about the issue. The writer has, rather, one end in sight, that is, to open up the mindset that hisab-rukyat manage to collaborate with information technology   Masalah penentuan awal bulan qamariah melibatkan berbagai aspek yang saling berkaitan secara kompleks baik secara teologis maupun ilmiah seperti aspek astronomi. Dengan melibatkan aspek astro- nomi dari sisi ilmiah kemungkinan perbedaan penentuan awal bulan dapat diminimalisir agar tidak terus meluas. Di dalam tulisan ini dikemukakan tentang bentuk perkembangan astronomi modern yang berperan untuk perkembangan hisab dan rukyat yang dibalut dengan tekhnologi komputerisasi on-line. Perpaduan hisab-rukyat koputerisasi on-line diharapkan mampu menjadi salah satu solusi alternatif dalam mempersatukan perbedaan yang ada.  Dalam tulisan ini memang tidak dijelaskan secara detail namun harapan dari penulis agar dengan wacana yang ada mampu membuka wawasan bagi masya- rakat luas. Bahwasanya hisab-rukyat mampu berkoloborasi dengan Informasi teknologi.

Abstract

One factor of IDD (Iodine Deficiency Disorders) is the lack consumptionof iodine, eitheriodinecomes from foodorsaltthat has beenfortified withiodine. Behavior ofhousewivesin selectingandstoringsaltshould be appropriatetomaintainthe quality ofsalt. Objective of the research to determine the manner of selection, methods of storage, the quality of iodized salt, and the Differences in the quality of iodized salt by way of elections and salt storage by housewives.Type of research is observational research in the form of analytic survey with cross sectional study design. The sample was selected using proportional random sampling technique. Data were collected in May 2015 in the Mriyan Orchard by conduct home visits, with a total study population of 410 households and the number of samples used as much as 78 households. This research was analyzed using Chi-square test.The results showed differences in the quality of iodized salt by way of elections and salt storage in the Mriyan Orchard with a value of p <0.05. Based on the descriptive results, it is known that the election of salt housewife compliance (89.7%), as well as salt storage means compliance (70.5%), the quality of iodized salt in the Mriyan Orchard reach the target the use of iodized salt for all (92.3%). There is a differences in the quality of iodized salt by way of elections (p = 0.000). Then, there is a differences in the quality of iodized salt by salt storage (p = 0.003)

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini untuk memberikan solusi tentang hidroponik pada masyarakat Desa Babadan Kecamatan Ngajum Kabupaten Malang. Lahan pertanian di Kabupaten Malang semakin berkurang seluas 10-15 hektar selama 15 tahun terakhir. Konversi lahan pertanian menjadi masalah yang besar untuk prospek kedepan, sehingga perlu adanya solusi. Hidroponik merupakan salah satu solusi yang dapat mengatasi masalah tersebut, terutama di desa Babadan serta didukung oleh kondisi fisik wilayahnya. Konsep yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan dan praktik hidroponik ini dilakukan dengan metode pendidikan kepada masyarakat (kelompok tani) melalui penyuluhan dan praktik yang melibatkan kelompok tani sebagai peserta. Penyuluhan dilakukan untuk menambah wawasan dan pengetahuan tentang hidroponik di kalangan masyarakat desa. Penyampaian materi dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dan tanya jawab serta demonstrasi. Demonstrasi yang dilakukan dengan sistem wick, yakni hanya memanfaatkan kapilaritas air dengan menggunakan botol bekas. Aspek penting yang perlu diperhatikan dalam menentukan keberhasilan budidaya hidroponik adalah pengelolaan tanaman.Abstract: The purpose of this community service activity is to provide hydroponic solutions to the people of Babadan Village, Ngajum District, Malang Regency. Agricultural land in Malang has decreased by 10-15 hectares in the last 15 years. Agricultural land conversion is a big problem for future prospects, so there is a need for a solution. Hydroponics is one solution that can overcome this problem, especially in the village of Babadan and is supported by the physical condition of the region. The concept used is counseling and hydroponic practice is carried out by education methods to the community (farmer groups) through counseling and practices involving farmer groups as participants. Counseling is done to increase insight and knowledge about hydroponics in the village community. Submission of material is done by lecture and question and answer methods as well as demonstrations. Demonstrations are carried out with a wick system, which only utilizes water capillarity by using used bottles. An important aspect that needs to be considered in determining the success of hydroponic cultivation is crop management.
