Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the online lecture process during the pandemic period, as well as measure the level of student satisfaction towards the implementation of online lectures at the Faculty of Sports Science, Universitas Negeri Surabaya. This research was descriptive study with a survey research model. Sample withdrawal was done by purposive sampling method, which determines the class of 2017- 2020 as a research respondent. The student assessment and satisfaction questionnaire were measured using the Likert scale with alternative answers 1 (dissatisfied) to 4 (very satisfied). The data was descriptively analyzed and bivariate using independent t-test and Anova one way tests. A total of 50.5% of students have a  good internet conditions. Lack of concentration is the most common problem (28.1%). The next problem is more lectures give students many assignments (17.6%). Overall, students' assessment of the online lecture process during the COVID 19 pandemic was good, While the level of student satisfaction with online lectures in the faculty of sports science is in the satisfied category. This result will be evaluated for lecturers and education personnel to continuously improve the quality of service to students.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to demonstrate that supplementation with pollen nutritional ingredients can enhance the rate of decrease in lactic acid levels and heart rate after 1 hour of submaximal exercise loading. The research methodology employed is experimental, utilizing a randomized one-group pre-test and post-test design. The sample consisted of 11 students from the Sports Science Study Program at Surabaya State University. Data analysis was conducted using the T-Test with a significance level of 0.05. The findings revealed a decrease in blood lactic acid levels and pulse rate after 1 hour of submaximal exercise. The percentage decrease in pulse rate was 91.541%, while the percentage decrease in blood lactic acid levels was 85.099%. However, it is important to note that comparing the percentage decrease in pulse rate to the percentage decrease in blood lactic acid levels may not be accurate due to the distinct nature of the two systems. Additionally, the supplement group demonstrated greater improvement compared to the control group, which did not receive supplements. Nonetheless, it should be acknowledged that both research variables had not fully returned to pre-exercise conditions.

Abstract

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) was the leading cause of death globally in 2019. The risk of CVD include cholesterol and blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and Body Mass Index (BMI). Physical activity is one of the protective factors of cardiovascular disease. This study aims to analyze measurement of self-reported physical activity with cardiovascular risk in rural adults in Indonesia. This study was an observational analytic with a cross-sectional design. All adults (aged 12-59 years) about 93 samples were obtained using an accidental sampling technique. Collecting data involves assessing physical activity using the Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ) and cardiovascular risk was calculated using the Framingham 30-Year Risk Score. The data were analyzed using the Spearman test. The majority of respondents were female (52.7%), in the late adult age category (83.9%), high school graduate (51.6%), an employee (64%), and income of respondents (33.3%) were Rp 2.000.000. Physical activity was associated with cardiovascular risk physical activity had a higher risk of cardiovascular disease and vice versa. Physical activity does not correlate with CVD risk factors, such as cholesterol levels, blood sugar levels, BMI, and blood pressure among adults in rural areas in Jombang, Indonesia. Measurement of self-reported physical activity can increase cardiovascular risk in rural adults in Indonesia. A healthy lifestyle by increasing physical activity should be carried out in adulthood to prevent the risk of cardiovascular disease.
