Abstract

Abstrak Salah satu warisan budaya terbesar dan terbaik Indonesia adalah batik. Batik memiliki bermacam jenis motif berdasarkan jenis pembuatannya, daerah dan ukirannya. Untuk melestarikan batik yaitu dengan mengeksplorasi pola baru untuk dijadikan batik, motif batik jenis terumbu karang masih jarang ditemui. Pada zaman sekarang telah dikembangkan operasi batik fractal yaitu batik yang dibuat dengan perhitungan matematika dan salah satu metode yang sering digunakan dalam batik fractal adalah metode sistem Lindenmayer (L-System). L-System adalah Metode perulangan untuk membuat tanaman virtual, contohnya akar, batang, cabang, daun dan bunga. Keyword: L-System, Batik Fractal, motif, terumbu karang, lingkaran. Abstract One of Indonesia's greatest and best cultural heritages is batik. Batik has various types of motifs based on the type of manufacture, the area and the carvings. To preserve batik that is by exploring new patterns to be made batik, batik type of coral reefs are still rarely encountered. In the present day has been developed batik fractal operation that is made of batik with mathematical calculation and one of method which often used in batik fractal is method of system of Lindenmayer (L-System). L-System is a method of iteration to create virtual plants, for example roots, stems, branches, leaves and flowers. Keyword: L-System, Batik Fractal, motif, coral reef, circle.
