Abstract

Abstract : This research aims to produce a book on the preparation of national standardized school examination questions (USBN) for biology subjects for high school teachers of good quality. The research consists of analyze stage, design stage, and development stage. The stage of analyze, design, development, internal validation and limited trial phase I was carried out in the Biology Education Laboratory FKIP University of Riau. External validation was carried out in SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru and SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. The limited trial phase II was carried out in SMA/MA Kota Pekanbaru. The book is validated based on four indicators, namely: book format and graphics, illustrations and pictures, language, and content eligibility. The overall results of the validation obtained an average of 3,46 with very valid categories. The results of the limited trial phase I have an average of 3,61 with very good categories and the results of the limited trial phase II have an average of 3,63 with very good categories.The book produced in this study has a very valid and very good categories so that it is worthy of being used as a source of teacher learning in developing assessment skills, especially the preparation of questions.Key Words: USBN Books, senior high school teachers, biology subjects

Abstract

Abstract : This study is a descriptive study that aims to produce an instrument Pedagogical Content Knowledge competency test for junior high school science teacher. This research was conducted in FKIP Biology, University of Riau and MGMP IPA SMP Pekanbaru in September 2016 until February 2017. This study is Research and Development which used ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate) and only done to Develop stage. Data was collected by the validation and testing. Validation aims to see usefullness a matter of expert opinion in the field of Pedagogical Content Knowledge IPA SMP, while the trial function to see usefullness the instrument for target users by analyzing the test results. Data obtained from the analysis of the test results in the form of value reliability, level of difficulty, diferentiation capacity and the function of detractors matter. Then, product produced after the validation and test are multiple choice questions with five possible answers which consists of 96 questions with 44 questions Content Knowledge, 36 about Pedagogical Knowledge and Pedagogical Content Knowledge 16. The results showed that the competency test instruments Pedagogical Content Knowledge can be categorized as good and can be used to measure mastery of Pedagogical Content Knowledge junior high school science teacher.Keywords: Instruments, Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK), Junior High SchoolScience Teacher

Abstract

Abstract : The study was conducted in classes X MA Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru to determine the increase learning outcomes of students by implementing cooperative model type Think Phair Share (TPS). This research is a classroom action research conducted in this study is the learning outcomes that emphasizes on three areas, namely knowledge, attitudes and skills. Data were collected using test and observation sheet. The results showed learning outcomes in every sphere has increased. The cognitive value seen from the results of daily tests on the firsts cycle that 82,21 (enough category)is increased in the second cycle is 90,71 (good category). Students who complete the first cycle of 22 students (78,57%) and increased in the second cycle is 28 (100%). On average of attitudes value in the first cycle , namely 77,82 (less category)and increased the second cycle 90,72 (good category). Average of skills value in the first cycle, namely 86,50 (enough category) and increased in the second cycle is 91,50 (good category). It can be concluded that the application of cooperative model Think Phair share(TPS) can improve learning outcomes students class X MA Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru. The award of a debtor groups in the cycle of I for two great teams ( the great the rest of the team ) is the same as one group , and the super ( super the rest of the team ) four groups of .While in the case of the cycle of II the whole smeru team had managed to develop into the criteria for the super ( super ) the rest of the team.Key Words : Cooperative model Think Phair Share (TPS), Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: Aims of this research is determine the effectivity of the addition of cow feses in liquid waste out as a raw material for biogas to the development of biotechnology handout on the concept of class XII High School in January 2016 to March 2016. The research was carried out by two stages, experimentation and development handouts. Research experiments conducted using completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of 4 treatments and 3 replications. If there is a real test there will be a further test Duncans Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at 5% level, while the development of handout done using ADDIE models. Parameters used include volume, pH, temperature, and the test flame. The addition of cow manure in liquid waste out effectively in the production of biogas. Treatment B3 (1500 ml liquid waste out + 1200 ml of cow dung) to be most successful in generating biogas, which can produce biogas volume of 8.44 liters and has a blue flame. The results of this study can be used as a handout development by showing category invalid (3.88) on the concept of biotechnology sub class XII High School in the field of biotechnology breeding material.Key Words: Cow Dung, Tofu Liquid Waste, Biogas , Handouts , Biotechnology

Abstract

Abstract :This research aimed to improve critical thinking skills of student class XI MIA 9 SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru by implementation worksheets based on Discovery Learning model. It had been done in SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru on Maret-May 2018. Parameters measure were student’s critical thinking skill, studen’t achievement and student’s attitude. The methods of this research was classroom action research by implementation worksheets based on Discovery Learning model. It had been done in two cylce. There were planning step, acting step, observation step and reflection step for each cycle. The research instrument used was a learning device that consist of a lesson plan, syllabus, assesment authentic sheet, observation sheet and critical thinking skill sheet. The collected data was analysed descriptively. The result of this research showed that critical thinking skill on first cycle was 82,94 (C) and increased on second cycle up to 89,47 (B). Student’s achievement on first cycle was 81,95 (C) and increased on second cycle up to 84,15 (A). Classical completeness percentage on first cycle was 87,87 (B) and increased on second cycle up to 100%. Student’s attitude on first cycle was 83,04 (C) and increased on second cycle up to 90,39 (B). It can be conclude that worksheets based on Discovery Learning model can improve critical thingking skill of student class XI MIA 9 SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru.Key Words : Worksheets, Discovery Learning Critical, Thinking Skills

Abstract

Abstract: Research it’s done to know the quality of the final semester exam made by the science teacher of junior high school all sub-districts Tambang regency Kampar lesson year 2017/2018. This research was implemented in June-November 2018 in the Study of Biology University of Riau. Research uses a survey method with type cross sectional design. The sample is selected of purposive sampling that consists of the even semester exam and the answer sheet of class students VII in Junior High School of 2 Tambang, Junior High School of 4 Tambang and Junior High School of 5 Tambang. The parameters in this research are a quantitative analysis consisting of the difficulty level, the power of the criterion, the function of distraktor, validity and reliability. Based on the result of quantitative analysis by using anatest version 4.10 shows that 38 questions received without repair (31,66%), 81 questions need repair (67,5%) and 1 questions being replaced (0,83%). Abstract

Abstract : This research aims to provide a literacy-based biological enrichment book of science for high school students. The research consists of the stages of analysis, design, and development. This enrichment books developed based on analysis of the PISA 2006 year reserved grain and 2015 as well as linkages with basic competency curriculum 2013. The stage of the analysis, design, development, validation and internal tests I carried out in the laboratory of Biology education FKIP University of Riau. External validation and testing II implemented in SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. Enrichment books validated on three aspect include format, the appropriateness of the content and science literacy, as well as language. Enrichment books produced in this research is at a very valid category and very good so worth is used as a source of independent study ability of students in developing science literacy.Keywords : Enrichment books, science literacy, high school students

Abstract

Abstract: This research has been done to describe the cognitive ability of students of grade VIII SMPN 1 Sungai Apit in August until December 2017. This research consists of 2 stages. The first stage is about a written test given to each student class VIII.1 SMP Babussalam for validity and reliability test. The second stage of written test is given to each grade VIII student of SMPN 1 Sungai Apit with the material of plant body structure to be analyzed. The result of this study is the cognitive ability of the students of class VIII of cognitive ability of knowledge (C1) 86.58% good category, cognitive ability of understanding (C2) 86.37% good category, cognitive ability of application (C3) 80.24% category good enough, cognitive ability analysis (C4) 74.87 % less good category, cognitive synthesis ability (C5) 70.04% unfavorable category and cognitive ability evaluation (C6) 60.10% unfavorable category. Based on the analysis of the students of grade VIII SMPN 1 Sungai Apit the cognitive ability level of C1 and C2 both C3 and C3 are good, C4, C5 and C6 are not good.Keywords: Cognitive Ability, Structure Plant Body Material

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to know the motivation of the students in the lesson 2018/2019 Year Soweto SMAN in selecting the cross-section of interest in biology. This research was carried out in SMA Negeri Soweto in October – November 2018. The population in this research is the whole grade X IS SMAN 1 Soweto, Soweto, and 14 SMAN SMAN 10 Soweto school year 2018/2019 totalling 186 people. This research is descriptive research. Techniques in determination of sample is Purposive sampling. Measured parameters are indicators of motivation that is interest, tenacious, persevering, a sense of happy and confident. Based on the research results obtained the motivation of students against the indicators of interest obtained average 64% with the category Being, motivation of students against the tenacious indicators obtained average 59% with categories Being, motivation of students against the indicators of persevering obtained 60% with the average category are, motivation of students against the indicators of pleasure obtained average 61% by category, and the motivation of students against the indicators of confidence gained average 60% by category. From the results it can be concluded that the motivations of students against the cross-interest biology 61% average obtained by category.Key Words: Motivation, interest in biology, Social(IS)
