Abstract

The fertilization management is one strategy to optimize the quantity and quality of rice production. Our study was aimedto investigate the effect of potassium fertilization several agronomical parameters andthe rate of head rice after milling process. The study was conducted from March 2018 to July 2018 in the Agrotechnopark experimental field University of Jember in District of Sukorambi, Jember. Randomized Block Design (RBD) was used with the frequency of potassium chlorice (KCl) fertilization asthe single factor. The conducted potassium treatments were as follows: without KCl fertilization (control), one-time KCl fertilization, two times KCl fertilization, three times KCl fertilization and each fertilization level was conducted by sixrepetitions. The agronomic parameters such as plant height, tiller number, flowering time, rate of productive tillers, grain number per panicle, weight of 1000 grains, and percentage of filled grain were analyzed and percentage of head rice rate was determined as quality parameter. Our results showed that different treatment of potassium did not significantly affect the plant height, tillernumber, flowering time, rate of productive tillers, total grains per panicle, and weight of 1000 grains. On the other hands, the percentage of filled grainand the rate of head rice after milling were significantly increased by potassium fertilization. Compare to the control treatment, three times potassium fertilization resulted 9.24% and 13.83% increase of filled grain and head rice after two times milling, respectively. Our result suggest that potassium fertilization is important for grainquality of Merah Wangi rice variety. Keywords: Merah Wangi, potassium fertilization, growth, physical quality.

Abstract

Cultivation of cauliflower with bio-slurry and phosphorus fertilizer was done as an effort to improve soil fertility to increase growth and yield of cauliflower. The study was conducted to determine the effect of bio-slurry with phosphorus fertilizer on growth and yield of lowland cauliflower. The experiment was carried out at Agrotechnopark of Jember University screenhouse from February to May 2018. The research method used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with split plot enviromental design on 3 levels of bio-slurry factor and 4 levels phosphorus factor was repeated 3 times. The first factor was liquid bio-slurry consisting of no bio-slurry; 500 ml bio-slurry / plant; 1000 ml of bio-slurry / plant. The second factor was phosphorus fertilizer (TSP) consisting of 0 g / plant; 1.5 g / plant; 3 g / plant; 9 g / plant. The experimental results showed that the interaction between the bio-slurry dose and phosphorus fertilizer had a significant effect on the yield and quality of the flowers except for the fresh weight of the flower. The treatment of TSP fertilizer affects growth except for chlorophyll content and total leaf area. The bio-slurry treatment can increase the fresh weight of cauliflower.Keywords:cauliflower, bio-slurry and phosphorus

Abstract

Kedelai  Baluran  adalah  salah  satu  varietas    unggul  hasil  peneliti  Universitas  Jember  yang  dilepas pemerintah Republik Indonesia dengan SK Menteri Pertanian Nomor 275 tahun 2002. Varietas  tersebut berdaya hasil tinggi (2,5-3,5 Mg ha-1), berbiji besar (13-17 g/100 butir) dan berumur pendek (umur panen 80 hari setelah tanam). Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengkaji produktivitas dan kualitas    kedelai varietas Baluran yang ditanam di tiga lokasi dengan variasi ketinggian tempat. Lahan  penelitian adalah  sawah dan lahan kering yang disawahkan. Sifat kimia tanah yang dianalisis meliputi pH (H2O), C-organik, P2O5, Kalium (K), Calsium (Ca), Natrium (Na), Magnesium (Mg), Kapasitas Tukar Kation (KTK), Kejenuhan Basa (KB) dan populasi rhizobia. Parameter yang diamati meliputi   tinggi tanaman, jumlah polong setiap tanaman,  produktivitas potensial/hektar, berat biji/tanaman dan berat biji/ 100 butir serta kualitas biji untuk pangan (kadar protein,  lemak,  abu,  air dan  karbohidrat).  Hasil penelitian menunjukan: (1) sifa kimia tanah bervariasi (pH H2O rata-rata 6,5 , kadar C-organik sangat rendah hingga rendah dengan rata-rata 1,00 %, N total rendah hingga sedang dengan rata-rata 0,19%, P tersedia sangat rendah hingga rendah dengan rata-rata 13,46 ppm, KTK rendah hingga tinggi dengan rata-rata 21 me/100g dan KB rendah hingga tinggi dengan rata-rata 47,77% dan rata-rata populasi rhizobia 8,56), (2) keragaan tanaman bervariasi (tinggi tanaman 40,28 – 49,09 cm, jumlah polong/ pohon 27,50 – 63,67, produktivitas potensial 2,04 – 5,60 ton/ha, berat biji/tanaman 7,72 – 18,01 gram, berat biji/100 butir 14,15 – 16,71 gram) dan (3) kualitas biji varietas Baluran untuk bahan agroindustri pangan tidak kalah dengan kedelai impor. Kata Kunci : produktivitas, kualitas, keragaan tanaman.

Abstract

The study was aimed to obtain information regarding the design instructional of ARCSI learning model with the scientific approach for teaching mathematics in school. This learning model developed based on the learning conditions at Junior High School (SMP/MTs) in Bukittinggi City and Agam Districts of West Sumatera requiring a model of learning based on Islamic values, strategy in the motivation of ARCSI, and a scientific approach mandated in the curriculum of 2013. This learning model is designed for forming the character of learners in an Islamic way the learning process of mathematics that pleasant, and train students to think critically and comprehensively through a scientific approach. Synonymous ARCSI Learning Model with scientific approach, namely: (1) Attract the attention of learners by inviting praying/pleading to Allah Ta’ala, (2) Convey the purpose/benefit of learning and its application in daily activity, (3) The deliberations of the group to establish ukhuwah Islamiyah within the group, (4) a class discussion to establish ukhuwah Islamiyah classically, (5) Giving satisfaction to students with learning will make only because of Allah Ta’ala and the tradition of Prophet Muhammad SAW (6) Evaluate processes and the results of solving problems, and (7) Closing the learning by reading Hamdallah and greetings.

Abstract

This research is based on the emergence of the 2013 curriculum which expects a learnng process that can make students actively construct their knowledge. The effectiveness of ARCSI learning models with a scientific approach can be seen from student learning outcomes, through 1) Student Worksheets (LKPD), 2) Test of learning outcomes. The results of the study show that the learning model developed is effective when viewed from students' mathematics learning outcomes. The level of effectiveness of the ARCSI learning model with a scientific approach obtained the results of LKIPD grades VII1 SMP N 7 and class VII1 SMP N 1 Ampek Angkek is categorized as effective with a mean of 75.017. The level of effectiveness of ARCSI learning models with a scientific approach obtained from the value of test questions on cognitive learning outcomes is categorized as effective with a mean of 61.38. Based on the hypothesis test for mathematics learning outcomes data can be drawn conclusions, namely: 1) Mathematics learning outcomes of class VII1 students (experimental class) is better than the mathematics learning outcomes of class VII4 students (control class) SMP N 7 Bukittinggi city; 2) Mathematics learning outcomes of class VII1 students (experimental class) are better than mathematics learning outcomes of class VII2 students (control class) Ampek Angkek N 1 junior high school in Agam district

Abstract

The issues in this study are how learning outcomes, learning motivation and student?s  interest  in mathematics learning material are being affected after applying classroom flipped learning         strategies with a scientific approach to class XI  grade students of SMK 2 Padangpanjang? Are student?s learning outcomes by applying classroom flipped strategies with the scientific approach are   better than the one that does not apply that method? This study aims to describe student?s learning outcomes, motivation, and interests in mathematics learning, and to see whether the experimental class learning outcomes are better than the control class. This research was conducted at SMK 2   Padang Panjang in the academic year 2017/2018. The sample is taken by using the random sampling technique which consisted of two sample groups, and each is consisted of 28 people. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the student?s mathematics learning outcomes are better than the previous one. In addition, student?s motivation towards mathematics learning is in a high level and  students' interests  as well.

Abstract

Less active and low learning outcomes of students learning by the learning model used by the teacher. Among the variations that can be done is to take advantage of existing technological developments. Therefore, a study was conducted involving the development of learning devices. The research carried out was the development of cooperative learning mathematical learning tools in the form of Blended Learning Based Student Worksheets (LKPD). This study aims to produce a blended learning based learning tool that is practical to improve student learning outcomes. This development research uses the Plomp model which consists of three phases namely the initial investigation phase, the development phase, and the improvement phase. The subjects of this study were 10th-grade religion students of MA KMM Kauman Padangpanjang. Based on the learning outcomes, students are active in learning. The results of the interview show that the devices are easily developed and motivate students in learning and the results of the practicality questionnaire that shows the learning tools developed have met the practical requirements in terms of implementation, ease and time needed. The value of each meeting also increases with an average value of 83 daily test scores. Based on these results it can be concluded that the cooperative mathematics learning model based on blended learning to improve learning outcomes of class X MA students can be used practically.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the issues found in observations at school, where the daily teaching activities carried out by teachers show that; teaching and learning activities are classical, the teacher only stands or sits in front of the class, the direct relationship between the teacher and students is rare, and students tend to behave passively, such as coming, listening, reading and writing. To overcome this issues, the researchers conducted a research by applying a three-step type of cooperative learning model interview in learning mathematics in the class. The purpose of this study is to reveal the activities and learning outcomes of students after applying the three-step interview type cooperative learning model. From the results of the study it was found that the learning activities of students during the application of the three step interview cooperative learning model increased at each meeting. Thus it can be concluded that the mathematics learning outcomes of students with learning by applying a three-step interview type cooperative learning model is better than those who do not apply the techniques.

Abstract

Study on the effect of rainfall pattern on the coffee yield has been carried out at one of government-owned estate companies in Banyuwangi district, East Java. The study was conducted by multiple linier regression analysis approach of rainfall elements on the coffee production. The results showed the following figures. Rainfall pattern significantly affected the production of the coffee plants. In general, it was shown that the effect of rainfall pattern on the coffee production with statistical analysis approach of multiple linier regression of the study showed that the following rainfall elements, i.e. wet months, rainfall of the previous year, and dry months of the previous year, would always appear as the dominant factors determining the production of the coffee plants, in the blocks of plants (each block of plants has its own or the same planting year) as well as in afdeling (the blocks as a whole or a unite), in which the study was carried out (as a note, a plantation or estate company usually has some afdelings). Each element of rainfall tended to have similar direction or regression coefficient vector in every assessment, but different magnitude supposed to be the effect of local conditions of the land. The equations performed from the multiple linier regression analysis have precision to predict ranging from 86-91%.Keywords: Rainfall pattern, wet months, dry months, coffee production.

Abstract

Pengujian prasyarat analisis, merupakan konsep dasar untuk menetapkan statistik uji mana yang diperlukan, apakah uji menggunakan statistik parametrik atau non parametrik. Uji prasyarat , yakni uji homogenitas variansi populasi, uji normalitas untuk sebaran data hasil penelitian. Uji homogenitas menggunakan statistik uji Harley, uji Cohran, Uji Levene, dan uji Bartlett. Sedangkan uji linearitas menggunakan statistik uji Lilliefors,dan uji Kolmogorov-Smirnov.
