Abstract

Most of Mechanical Engineering students have very low interest and motivation towards English even they regard English as huge obstacle. Besides that, it is the lack of module or material of English especially for mechanical engineering. Because of this problem, English teaching in this class needs the materials or methods which is suitable for those students therefore the student learning experience is more interesting and challenging. This is the main reason why lecturers of vocational colleges especially for mechanical engineering department is expected to always explore more motivative teaching resources, although there are many handbooks or modules include CDs. In order to learn more varied, lecturers can use English material for this department that can be taken or downloaded from Youtube. So that the students can understand and improve their English vocabulary competence related to mechanical terms. This study analyzes the effects of using material taken from Youtube in the mechanical department. Using Class Action Research consist of two cycles with stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Both cycles use the application of learning models by Teaching English for ESP assisted by Youtube. The result of research shows that the improvement of problem solving ability in English which is very significant that is 85,21% from 30 studenst get value ?70 according to required minimum value.

Abstract

Pada pembelajaran pada DIII Teknik Mesin khususnya pada matakuliah Matematika terapan 2 diperlukan suatu model pembelajaran menarik dan dapat memberikan peningkatan pada prestasi mahasiswa khususya pada pemecahan masalah. Model pembelajaran Berbantuan Perangkat Pembelajaran Matematika Berbasis Android diharapkan mampu memberikan solusi kepada mahasiswa untuk meningkatkan daya tarik dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Tujuan penelitian ini mengoptimalisasi model pembelajaran Berbantuan Perangkat Pembelajaran Matematika Berbasis Android. Pada proses penelitian yang telah berlangsung maka diperoleh kesimpulan sebagai berikut : (1) Penggunakan model pengembangan 3-D (modifikasi dari 4-D) menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika terapan 2 dengan bantuan Aplikasi Android, dimana perangkat yang terdiri dari RPS, RPP dan Aplikasi Android. Perangkat pembelajaran yang melalui proses validasi dan dinyatakan valid oleh pakar dibidangnya, maka perangkat pembelajaran matematika yang dikembangkan dengan Aplikasi Android dalam penelitian ini menjadi valid, (2) Penggunaan Aplikasi Android pada kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari kemampuannya pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah dibandingkan dengan proses pembelaran dikelas dengan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat yang dilakukan pada kesempatan kali ini memiliki tujuan sebagai berikut : 1) Memberikan pengetahuan komputasi Statistika bagi siswa pada tingkat SMK Dinamika Kota Tegal, 2) Meningkatkan Keterampilan pada mata pelajaran matematika di SMK Dinamika Kota Tegal khususnya mata pelajaran Matematika, 3) Meningkatkan kompetensi siswa terkait dengan kemampuan statistika menggunakan Software R. Kemudian Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan PKM dengan memberikan motivasi dan peningkatan kompetensi bidang umum yaitu Sistem Persamaan Linier dengan menggunakan Aplikasi komputasi matematika yaitu Software R. Kegiatan Peningkatan Kompetensi ini dilakukan di Ruang Laboratorium Komputer SMK Dinamika Kota Tegal. Kesimpulan dan Hasil dari kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan adalah sebagai berikut : 1) Para siswa yang mengikuti pada hasil akir memiliki keterampilan untuk menggunakan Aplikasi Komputasi Matematika Software R terkait mata pelajaran Matematika khususnya pada materi Sistem Persamaan linier, 2) Siswa yang mengikuti pelatihan mampu memkomparasi permasalahan maematika SPL pada hasil yang dikerakan secara manual maupun dengan komputasi matematika secara komprehensif, 3) Siswa yang mengikuti kegiatan PKM ini pada kegiatan memiliki peningkatan kompetensi Statistika degan menggunakan Software R, dimana kemampuan ini sangat dibutuhkan dalam penyelesaian masalah matematika dan pengelahan data pada era sekarang ini.

Abstract

Kegiatan PKM (Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat) ini memiliki tujuan : 1) Memberikan Pengetahuan Terhadap Guru SMK Dinamika dalam Pemanfaatan Aplikas BandiCam, 2)Para Guru dapat Lebih Kreatif dalam membuat Bahan Ajar untuk media Daring, 3) Siswa lebih dapat memahami materi yang diberikan oleh Guru melalui media Daring. Metode pada kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dengan memberikan pelatihan dalam penggunaan aplikasi Bandicam dalam pembuatan bahan ajar bagi para guru SMK Dinamika Tegal. Pelatihan dilaksanakan di Ruang Guru SMK Dinamika Tegal. Hasil Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini mengsilkan kesimpulan akhir sebagai berikut : 1) Peserta pelatihan memiliki keterampilan dan kemampuan untuk mengaplikasikan materi yang diberikan untuk pembuatan bahan ajar yang iteraktif, 2) Peserta akhirnya dapat membuat bahan ajar yang mudah dipahami oleh siswa karena para peserta dapat menjelaskan dengan detail dan terperinci materi yang diberikan, 3) Peserta pelatihan lebih percaya diri dapat memberikan pembelajaran kepada para murid/ siswanya dengan baik ditengah pandemic covid19 yang pembelajaran lewat daring/ tanpa tatap muka secara langsung.

Abstract

Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi adalah Pendidikan, Penelitian, dan Pengabdian Masyarakat. Salah satu kewajiban tersebut melaksanakan Pengabdian Masyarakat, hal ini dilaksanakan berkaitan dengan kepedulian setiap lembaga atau institusi yang bergerak dibidang Pendidikan, khususnya tentang Peningkatan Kompetensi Siswa dan Guru SMK Dinamika Kota Tegal Tentang Pemanfaatan Program Komputasi Matematika Geogebra dalam rangka menguasai materi matematika, khususnya latihan soal-soal ujian Nasional dengan penyelesaian alternatif. Program  komputer  yang  kini tersedia secara luas dan gratis di internet adalah Geogebra. Menggunakannya pun relatif mudah, sehingga hanya dengan pelatihan minimal guru dan siswa akan bisa menggunakannya. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam rangka meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan guru dan siswa dalam bidang matematika. Dari hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat diperoleh kesimpulan sebagai berikut : (1) Adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan kemampuan dalam menggunakan aplikasi komputer bagi siswa khususnya tentang matematika menggunakan teknologi komputasi khususnya dengan program Geogebra; (2)Kegiatan Pelatihan Komputasi Geogebra di SMK Dinamika Kota Tegal dapat meningkatkan motivasi karena dianggap mudah dan sebagai alternatif untuk mengetahui jawaban akhir dengan benar. DOI: https://doi.org/10.26905/abdimas.v3i0.2674

Abstract

Problem-based learning Metode Pembelajaran that is integrated with information and communication technology is expected to be able to provide solutions to increase attractiveness and problem-solving abilities. The purpose of study optimizes PBL Metode Pembelajaran by applying information and communication technology so that there is an increase in the problem-solving ability of the resulting Metode Pembelajaran. Experiments were carried out to get the best Metode Pembelajaran test with indicators of increasing achievement and problem-solving abilities. This research is a Classroom Action Research there are 4 steps: Planning, Action, Observation, and Reflection. The results study The application of contextual learning in applied mathematics courses 2 are: (1) the results of the distribution of questionnaires of students interest in learning integrated problem based learning ICT before and after being given a learning treatment Problem-based learning has changed from cycle I which is 22.87% increased to 89 00% in cycle II, (2) Increasing student learning activities, this can seen from the percentage  activity in the first cycle of 64% classified as quite active, and in the second cycle by 76% and classified as active, (3) improving achievement, activity, and interest in student learning. This increase can be seen by the acquisition of the average of students in the first cycle of 66.88 and with student learning completeness of 56%. The average value in cycle II is 78.27 and the student learning completeness is 100%.

Abstract

The basic principle of metal formation is a process that is done by giving shape changes on the workpiece. This shape change can be done by providing an outer force resulting in plastic deformation. The application of this metal formation can be seen in some examples such as rolling, bending, forging, extruding, wire drawing, deep drawing, and so on. In the process of formation of this metal is also used tooling (bending) whose function gives style to the workpiece, and direct the change of shape. Knowing the speed of the power forwarding system on the pipe roller machine starting from the power source until power is used as the work cycle, and to know the type of belt, the length of the belt used on the pipe roll machine. From this research can be concluded that: (1) In bending the thickness of 4 mm pipe the required power is 582.4 N with power of 0.4 hp then the motor required 1 hp, the diameter of the pulley used is 2 inch for motoran and 8 inch for the pivot reducer, belt used type B with length 44 inch, (2) To reach the rotation of ± 2 rpm ie pulley diameter used with the ratio of pulley ratio is 1: 4, the reducer is used with the value I = 60 and sprocket ratio 1: 3.

Abstract

By looking at the learning result of Lecturer of DIII Mechanical Engineering Department of Harapan Bersama seen the lack of understanding of the students understanding the subject matter of Applied Mathematics. The objective of the research is to produce a mathematics learning device with Think Talk Write model based on Hand On Activity to improve the valid ability of troubleshooting, practical, and effective math problem solving. This research is a development research using 4D model that is modified into 3D consists of defining, designing and developing phases. The types of devices developed are: (1) Syllabus; (2) Semester Study Plan; (3) Modules and (4) Worksheets , and (5) Troubleshooting Test. The subject of this research is the D III students of Mechanical Engineering Department. Independent variables of this research are independence and problem-solving skills, while the dependent variable is the result of Troubleshooting test. Conclusions gained (a) Students achieved mastery individually (scores above 80) as well as classical, (b) The ability of troubleshooting of Applied Mathematics in a class that uses Think Talk Write model devices based on Hand On Activity is better than the ability of class math problem solving with conventional method, (c) The existence of influence of independence character and problem solving skill to troubleshooting ability of subject Applied Mathematics equal to 90%.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of Movie for Mechanical Engineering students of Politeknik Harapan Bersama Tegal. The method used is class action research using 2 cycles. The subject of this study is class 6C with 26 people. The student's improvement in vocabulary understanding is 60% in the first cycle. However, the results were categorized as failed because only 10 students received a minimum score of 73 or above 73. So the second cycle is implemented. In the second cycle there is an increase in the percentage understanding vocabulary 75% of the average value of 69-86. So it can be concluded that the student's understanding increases using movie.
