Abstract

To many abstract concepts in mathematics learning make students think mathematics is difficult. The purpose of this research is to obtain the effectiveness of Guided Teaching learning with E-learning to improve students mathematical communication skills by 1) students mathematical communication skills who are given Guided Teaching learning with E-Learning achieve minimal mastery of both individual and classical learning, 2 ) students mathematical communication skills are given Guided Teaching learning treatment with E-Learning better than expository learning, and 3) an increase in mathematical communication skills of students who are given Guided Teaching learning treatment with E-Learning better than expository learning. The method used in the experiment (quantitative). Data collection methods using observation, interviews, and tests about students mathematical communication skills. Data analysis uses the completeness test, proportion test, comparative test, and N-Gain test. The results of this study obtain the effectiveness of guided teaching-learning with e-learning as follows (1) individual completeness meets KKM (68), (2) classical completeness by 75% with the proportion of students already getting 68 grades has exceeded 75%; (3) students mathematical communication skills of Guided Teaching learning with e-learning by 80.75 higher than expository learning by 69.50 (4) an increase in students mathematical communication skills of 0.407 medium categories and the difference in the increase in mathematical communication skills of students who were given treatment guided teaching-learning with e-learning is greater than Expository learning.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi kurang adanya feedback dari dosen yang mengakibatkan mahasiswa kebingungan karena penguasaan materi semakin sulit. Hal ini berdampak pada kurangnya prestasi belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pelaksanaan strategi feedback untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar mahasiswa. Prestasi belajar mahasiswa dilihat dari nilai evaluasi mahasiswa didukung dengan nilai dan tugas post test. Media yang digunakan adalah modul pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas (class room action research) dengan kegiatan yang telah diskemakan. Subjek adalah mahasiswa semester I pada mata kuliah matematika materi kombinatorial tahun kuliah 2015/2016 yang terdiri dari 38 mahasiswa. Instrumen untuk mengumpulkan data adalah lembar observasi, lembar angket/kuesioner, jurnal harian, lembar wawancara dan lembar tes yaitu post test dan evaluasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah pengumpulan data, reduksi data, display data, dan kesimpulan. DAta yang digunakan untuk analisis adalah hasil dari test mahasiswa, lembar observasi, lembar angket. Dari hasil perhitungan prosentase diperoleh nilai Post test siklus I sebesar 38,89% dan siklus II sebesar 79,41%. Hasil lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran menuinjukkan siklus I sebesar 65,875% dan siklus II sebesar 75,5% artinya pelaksanaan pembelajaran melalui strategi feedback berjalan dengan baik. Hal tersebut ditunjukka oleh rata-rata siginifikan mengalami peningkatan. Kata Kunci: Strategi Feedback, prestasi belajar.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to obtain the practicality of Problem Based Learning (PBL) tools with a scientific approach to improve students’ critical thinking ability (KKBKM). This study was a quantitative type with research subjects of 2D class as the control class and 2F as the experimental class. Both classed consisted of 32 students in the even semester of the academic year 2018/2019. The control class was treated by using an expository learning model, while the experimental class was treated by PBL with a scientific approach. This study carried out the interview, observation, and questionnaires to collect data. Then the practicality test analysis was obtained by observation of the implementation of learning according to RPP, questionnaire for lecturers and students’ response, and observation of KKBKM activities. Afterward, the average score of learning implementation observation according to RPP was 74.2%, questionnaire of lecturers’ response was 4.17, students’ response was 86.10%, and KKBKM observation was 4.14 with an excellent predicate. Thus, the learning tool prepared positively could be used in learning.
