Abstract

Penelitian ini  bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi mekanisme katup dengan diterapkannya model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen dengan tipe pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi  dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI Program Keterampilan Otomotif MAN Kendal sejumlah 98 siswa. Sedangkan sampel diambil secara random sejumlah 61 siswa. Data hasil penelitian diperoleh dengan metode observasi aktivitas siswa dan metode tes pilihan ganda 25 soal yang dianalisis menggunakan uji gain. Berdasarkan analisis data yang dilakukan menggunakan uji gain, peningkatan aktivitas belajar kelas eksperimen (0,27) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol (0,10) dan Peningkatan hasil belajar kelas eksperimen (0,57) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol (0,33). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi mekanisme katup.This study aims is to determine the increase of student learning activities and learning outcomes in the valve mechanism subject with the implementation of stad cooperative learning model. The study design used is true experimental design with pre test and post test control group design. The population in this study was a class xi student kendal man automotive skills program by the number of 98 students. While the sample taken at random by the  number of 61 students. Data were obtained by the method of observation of student activity and multiple choice test methods were analyzed using the gain test. Based on the data analysis performed using  the gain test , increased learning activity of the experimental class (0.27) was higher than the control class (0.10) and increased learning outcomes of  the experimental class (0.57) was higher than the control class (0.33). It can be concluded that the implementation of stad cooperative learning model can enhance learning activities and learning outcomes of students in the valve mechanism subject.
