Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kematangan emosi dengan motivasi siswa mengikuti layanan konseling individual. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA N 1 Subah berjumlah 272 siswa dan sampel yang berjumlah 156 siswa yang diambil menggunakan proportionate stratified random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan skala psikologi. Validitas instrumen menggunakan rumus product moment dan perhitungan reliabilitasnya menggunakan rumus Alpha. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif persentase dan uji analisis korelasi Product Moment. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Ho penelitian ditolak dan Ha penelitian diterima. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kematangan emosi dengan motivasi siswa mengikuti layanan konseling individual.
The purpose of this study is to find out the correlation between emotional maturity and studentâs motivation to follow individual counseling services. Population of this study is all of XI grade students of SMA N 1 Subah which consist of 272 students and the samples were 156 students. Subject were selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. A data collection method was using psychological scale. Test of validity of the instrument was using the formula of product moment and reliability was tested using the Alpha formula. Data analysis were using descriptive percentage analysis and Product Moment correlation. The result shows that Ho in this study is rejected and Ha is accepted. Conclusion of this study is there is a significant correlation between emotional maturity and studentâs motivation to follow individual counseling services.
