Abstract

As an archipelago Indonesia hasproblem concerning maritime borders with its neighbours such as AustraliaPapua New Guinea and Timor Leste In Arafura sea Indonesia has no problems concerning maritime boundarieswith Papua New Guinea however the Indonesian Australian maritime boundaries concerning continental shelfand economic exclusive zone have notfinished yet In Timor sea Indonesia has problems with Timor Leste concerning territorial sea as well as with Australia concerning with continental shelfand economic exclusive zoneInspite of unfinished maritime boundaries agreements with the neighbours Indonesia still tries to negotiate withits neighbours to solve the problems
