Abstract

Nusa Penida, Lembongan and Ceningan islands consist of Pliocene reef limestone at some place. The limestone forms dolomite characterized, white in color and soft. The southern coastal of Nusa Penida Island exposed bedded limestone, re-crystallization and weakened. Karts topography widely spread in this island, however it has been eroded. The coastal zone of Nusa Penida, Lembongan and Ceningan islands have been utilized for sea water tourism and sea grass cultivation. However, these areas still have various renewable energy resources which have not yet been developed optimally. In order to support Renewable Energy Park Programs in Nusa Penida, the current energy of Ceningan strait can be used for electricity power energy. Keywords: coastal, renewable energy, current and limestone.

Abstract

Marine and coastal dynamic maps of Indramayu extracted from satellite imageries indicate the quantification of changes; those are changes of coastline, extension and the potential areas of erosion and sedimentation. The biogeochemical and hydro-oceanographic interactive processes of the up and downstream areas produce the marine and coastal physiographic of Indramayu. Therefore, the problem solving of coastal abrasion and accretion in Indramayu have to be executed through inter-sector coordination. Keywords: abrasion, accretion, coastal, coastline, satellite imageries

Abstract

East Sulawesi terrane, generally called East Sulawesi Ofiolite, consists of ultramafic rock underlying pelagic sediment as a top layer. The rock is interpreted as a basement rock in  the East Sulawesi  Terrane which was formed during early Cretaceous. This ultramafic rock tectonically contacted with Mesozoicum and Paleogen ones, and unconformably overlied by molasses sediment type on the top.A number of single channel seismic profiling has been carried out and passing through between Kabaena, Muna and Buton islands.  Based on outcropping  and distribution  of rock units on those three islands, the seismic lines were made to get a clear geological  setting under the seafloor. Differentiation  of internal configuration  reflector of the seismic  records which  Interrelated  to rock unit on the islands have been interpreted very clearly. The study of seismic single channel records will be more accurate if it is correlated to the offshore drilling data in order to make an estimation of internal configuration reflectors to be definitely  correct. Keywords:  terrane, tectonic, seismic, interpretation, Buton
