Abstract

The challenge of education entering the 21st century in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 is expected to get graduates who are competent in utilizing ICT but also competent in developing critical thinking skills. This research aims to develop digital book based on local wisdom to improve critical thinking skills. This research includes Research and Development (R&D) research using ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) models. Data analysis techniques used in this study include descriptive data analysis related to the validity and response of users, while to determine the effectiveness of the product used the N-gain test. The results show (1) the developed digital book has valid criteria regarding aspects of the material, presentation, and language (2) students and teachers provide responses to the local wisdom digital book used in learning with response criteria strongly agree (3) assessment results Students' critical thinking skills show improvement with high N-Gain grades. The developed local wisdom digital book is suitable to be used as an alternative source of learning additive material in natural science learning in the face of the 21st century and the industrial revolution 4.0.

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA terpadu di SMP N 2 Subah Batang terkendala dengan belum tersedianya buku IPA terpadu. Buku – buku yang selama ini dijumpai untuk dipakai dalam pembelajaran IPA belum IPA terpadu. Buku tersebut masih tersusun berdasarkan bab-bab yang tersendiri antara fisika, biologi dan kimia tanpa adanya keterpaduan di antara disiplin ilmu. Melalui modul IPA terpadu guru akan lebih mudah dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran dan siswa akan lebih terbantu serta mudah dalam belajar secara mandiri. Metode Penelitian yang diterapkan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Hasil penelitian dari validasi pakar pada kelayakan isi sebesar 79,2% dengan kriteria layak, kelayakan kebahasaan sebesar 95% dengan kriteria sangat layak dan kelayakan penyajian  sebesar 85,9% dengan kriteria sangat layak. Tanggapan guru terhadap modul sebesar 92,5% dengan kriteria sangat layak dan tanggapan siswa terhadap modul sebesar 97,3% dengan kriteria sangat layak. Pada penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan modul IPA terpadu model webbed pada tema hama dan pestisida melalui tahapan identifikasi potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, revisi desain, uji coba skala kecil, revisi, ujicoba skala besar, revisi  dan produksi akhir. Modul yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar siswa. Integrated science learning in SMP N 2 Subah Batang is constrained by lack of a unified science books. Books that have been found to be used in science teaching is not integrated science. The book is still arranged by chapters that separate between physics, biology and chemistry without any integration among the disciplines. This research was aimed to develop an integrated webbed science module on the theme of pests and pesticides. Through an integrated science module, teachers will be easier to implement learning and students will be helped and easy to learn independently. The research method applied was the research and development (Research and Development). The results of the experts' validation study on the feasibility of the content was 79.16% categorized in a decent criteria, linguistic eligibility criteria was 95% in a very decent criteria and proper presentation was 85.93% in a very decent criteria. Teacher's response to the module was 92.50% in a very decent criteria and student responses to the module was 96.53% also in a very decent criteria. It can be concluded that the development of webbed integrative science module on the theme of pests and pesticides was started from the identification of potential problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revisions, small-scale trials, revisions, large-scale trials, revision and final production. Modules developed fit for use as a source of student learning.
