Abstract

This study aims to determine the validity and level of readability of the Basic Concepts Science module with SETS vision (Science, Environment, Technology, Society) based on Science Literacy. Testing the validity of the module in this R & D (Research and Development) uses content validity and construct validity tests, while testing the readability level of the module using the crossing test technique. The results of the study show the level of validity of the modules developed is included in the category of very high validity so that the module can be used. Meanwhile, the results of the module readability level test show that the Basic Concepts Science Module Based on Science Literacy SETS developed in the category is quite easy to understand and ideal for use in learning.

Abstract

The study aimed to 1) determine the effect of learning using the PjBL model assisted by Padlet on environmental pollution material on student literacy, and 2) find out the student responses toward the learning using the PjBL model assisted by Padlet on environmental pollution material on students scientific literacy. The research used a quasi-experimental method with a Pretest-Posttest control group design. The sample selection techniques used Purpose Sampling, both Experiment and control class. Data collection techniques were questionnaires, documentation, and tests. Data analysis used the Independent Sample T-Test and the coefficient of determination. The finding showed that the treatment of the research subject was the class. In the experimental class, the pretest score was 71.79 and the posttest score was 75.94. Meanwhile, in the control class, the pretest score was 60.27 and the posttest score was 66.53. The N-Gain value was 0.35 in the Experiment class and 0.31 in the control class, so it was in the medium category. In short, the implementation of the PjBl model assisted by Padlet on environmental pollution material affects students' scientific literacy by 4.6%.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the Learning Cycle 5E model on junior high school students' science process skills. This study used the Quasi-Experimental Design study with Nonequivalent control group design. The instrument used a science process skills test. The research sample is students in class VII semester II of Junior High Scool 8 Pekalongan, which purposive random sampling technique. The data were collected by essay tests of science process skills, observation sheets, and documents. Analytical data were used instrument analysis, pretest, and posttest of science process skills, etc. Based on the value of n-gain from Learning Cycle 5E class were obtained 66.33 with moderate criteria, so the Learning Cycle 5E model is moderate in science process skills. The students' responses towards the  Learning Cycle 5E model were positive, 14 of the 15 statement items included in the excellent category. It indicates that the learning cycle 5E can encourage students’ science process skills.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini merupakan kegiatan IbM (IPTEK bagi Masyarakat) yang berupa program pendidikan lingkungan hidup melalui kegiatan duta lingkungan hidup sekolah. Duta Lingkungan Hidup Sekolah merupakan perwakilan individu terpilih pada tingkat sekolah  yang memiliki pengetahuan dan berperan aktif dalam bidang lingkungan hidup. Mitra IbM yaitu Dinas Lingkungan Hidup (DLH) Kabupaten Tegal dan Dinas Lingkungan Hidup dan Pengelolaan Sampah (DLHPS). Duta Lingkungan Hidup dilaksanakan dalam 3 Tahap, tahap I merupakan tes kemampuan kognitif, tahap II merupakan uji kreativitas (membuat produk daur ulang) atau uji ide/ gagasan dalam memecahkan permasalahan lingkungan, sedangkan tahap III merupakan tahap orasi ilmiah. Pemilihan Duta Lingkungan Hidup Kabupaten Tegal diikuti oleh 80 peserta, sedangkan di Kabupaten Brebes diikuti oleh 71 peserta. Di akhir kegiatan telah terpilih Duta Lingkungan Hidup I, II, dan II untuk Kabupaten Brebes dan Kabupaten Tegal. Selain itu terpilih juga Duta Lingkungan Hidup Favorit yang penilaiannya didasarkan atas keunikan kostum saat pelaksanaan kampanye Go Green. Kegiatan Duta Lingkungan, diharapkan dapat menjadi program rutin pemerintah setempat. Kegiatan ini juga dapat menjadi media kerjasama berbagai pihak baik pemerintah, akademisi, swasta, dan masyarakat, sehingga menumbuhkan semangat untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang Bersih, Elok, Nyaman, Aman dari polusi dan penuh pengHijauan. Kata Kunci : Duta Lingkungan Hidup, Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup

Abstract

Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ This research aims to find out the comparison between of the students physics concept understanding who take the lesson using the Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) models with experiment methods and demonstration methods. This research is a quasi-experimental research design pretest-Post Test Control Group Design. The population in this study was 212 students, then take a sample of 60 students who carried out based on non-random techniques conditional. Samples were taken as many as 60 students divided into two experimental classes. Data collection methods used pretest to obtain data on students’ physics concept understanding before being given treatment and posttest to obtain data on students’ physics concept understanding after being treated. Data obtained were analyzed using Independent Samples T-test. The results showed no difference between the understanding of the students’ physics concept understanding who takes the lesson using the Predict-Observe-Explain (POE)models with experiment methods and the demonstration methods. Based on the increase in the average value of pretest and posttest, obtained an average value of the experiments class is 6.65, while the larger demonstration class is 8.33. This suggests that physics learning using POE models with experiment methods are no better to improve students’ physics concept understanding compared using POE models with demonstration methods.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran IPA dengan menerapkan model Problem Based Learning berbantuan O2PingID untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik pada topik pencemaran, dan (2) mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh metode O2PingID dengan model Problem Based Learning pada topik pencemaran terhadap environmental sensitivity peserta didik Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan desain pretest-postest control group. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII di salah satu SMP Negeri di Kota Tegal tahun pelajaran 2019/2020. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random samping. Diperoleh kelas kontrol (VII B) dan eksperimen (VII D). Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu instrumen tes dan instrumen non Hasil penelitian: (1) Penerapan model Problem Based Learning berbantuan O2PingID pada kelas eksperimen cukup efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari nilai N-Gain persen pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 72,77% dan kelas kontrol sebesar 67,18%; (2) Terdapat pengaruh model Problem Based Learning berbantuan O2PingID terhadap environmental sensitivity peserta didik, dibuktikan pada hasil uji t dengan nilai sig (2-Tailed) sebesar 0,000

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the 5E-based inquiry training model (engagement, exploration, explanation, elaboration and evaluation) in improving students' critical thinking skills on the concept of water pollution. The population of this study were students of class VII of one of the state junior high schools in Bumijawa for the 2019/2020 school year. The sample selection was carried out by using purposive sampling technique. The research design was a pretest-posttest with data collection methods using a multiple choice test. Analysis of critical thinking skills by calculating the difference between the pretest and posttest using the N-gain test. The results of the N-Gain analysis obtained that the experimental class was 0.42 with moderate criteria and the control class was 0.26 with low criteria, it was concluded that the 5E-based inquiry training model was effective in improving critical thinking skills seen from the percentage of students who achieved KKM by 78%.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) menghasilkan perangkat evaluasi kecakapan hidup untuk pembelajaran fisika, (2)mengukur validitas dan reliabilitas perangkat, (3) menentukan kepraktisan perangkat, dan (4) mendeskripsikanprofil kecakapan hidup siswa SMK. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development denganempat tahap yaitu studi pendahuluan, perencanaan, pengembangan, dan uji coba produk. Analisis yang dilakukanmeliputi uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, dan uji kepraktisan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan perangkat evaluasi yangterdiri atas pedoman evaluasi, pedoman penilaian, daftar komponen dan indikator yang akan dinilai, dan jenisinstrumen. Jenis instrumen terdiri dari lembar observasi dan lembar penilaian yang memuat indikator-indikatorkecakapan hidup pada komponen desicion making, wise use of resources, communication, accepting differences,self responsibility, dan problem solving. Hasil pengembangan perangkat evaluasi kecakapan hidup menunjukkannilai validitas 88,3%, koefisien reliabilitas 0,995 dan berada pada kriteria sangat tinggi. Pengembangan perangkatevaluasi juga menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kecakapan hidup siswa SMK lebih tinggi pada kecakapan hidup generikyang lebih berkaitan dengan aspek psikomotor dan afektif daripada aspek kognitif.
