Abstract

Gastropod is a class of snail with the biggest number of species from the mollusk phylum, since it is able to adapt with any type of habitat. Watukarung Village, which has unique characteristic of its rocky beaches and sand dunes, is one of many habitats of gastropods in the intertidal zone. Thus, a basic information on the structure of the gastropods community in the area is required. Research was conducted in August 2014 in Ngalorombo Beach, Pasir Putih Beach, and Kasap Beach. Systematic sampling was applied using the quadratic plot of 1 x 1 m2, while data analyses comprised of density, Shannon-Wiener index, Eveness index, Simpson index, and correspondence analysis. The gastropods were found in studied areas consist of 8 families, 9 genera, and 13 species. The highest density and the most diverse of the category were in Kasap Beach. Eveness index and Simpson index of the species in the three beaches were in the low category. There was a tendency of the gastropods to live in the habitat made up of coarse sand and stones with good water quality, as shown in the result of the correspondence’s analysis.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop smart binoculars learning media for trigonometry material in Vocational Schools so that it can help and facilitate mathematics teachers in explaining one of the concepts of trigonometry material. The type of research used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) while the development of instructional media refers to the modified Borg and Gall model, namely research and collection, planning, product draft development, expert validation, small-scale trials. The development has three criteria, namely valid, practical and effective. The results showed that obtained from filling out the validation sheet by the material expert and media expert validators were in the valid category. Furthermore, the practicality of smart binoculars learning media based on student response questionnaire the average student is satisfied with the learning experience using learning media and for the effectiveness of smart binoculars learning media get positive things because the evaluation of ten samples of students gets grades above minimal completeness criteria.

Abstract

Seleksi Mandiri Tanjungpura University is one of the entrance method to the college, especially in the TanjungpuraUniversity. Registration of Seleksi Mandiri Tanjungpura University done directly by the candidates of the student. This existing method takes quite a long time. The number of applicants is not proportional to the number of committees that serve and verify the administrative requirements of participants, so this resulted in a queue ofstudent candidates. Online system that used as a service in the registration system have been widely applied in daily life. It proved to minimize the problems that previously occurred. Long lines of queue and paper used as a medium of registration can be reduced and prevented with the online service systems. Electronic form is an application that designed for Seleksi Mandiri Tanjungpura Tanjungpura University registration system. Application form fulfillment will be possible to conduct in conditions of a computer connected or not connected to the Internet. However it can be done at offline. One method to protect data from unwanted party is to randomize the data sent, so if the data is received by the other party, they do not understand the purpose of the data. Blowfish algorithm is an algorithm which is quite good and applicable. Blowfish have varying levels of security, the key length used by Blowfish may vary by the system. The application uses data snap technology by applying service application so it becomes more secure because of the indirect communications with the back end. The results show that the design and testing of these applications can be used for the registration process. Prospective participants will receive a registration receipt cards used to take exams.Â
