Abstract

 The study aimed at measuring the effect of translanguaging approach in teaching Arabic reading comprehension to the second semester students of Indonesian Education Department, Universitas Iqra Buru. 64 students involved as the participants through simple random sampling technique. 32 students participated in each of the experimental and control group. The researchers used reading test of written test to obtain information about the students’ achievemnt in reading on the use of translanguaging approach and it was distributed to the respondents after the last treatment given. To find out the mean score, standard deviation and the t-test value between the pretest and the posttest the researchers used the SPSS 17 program. The researchers found that the use of translanguaging approach in learning Arabic reading comprehension improves the students’ ability of Arabic reading comprehension is better than the conventional method.

Abstract

In reality, not a few teachers who have been certified as educators are less competent in teaching the field of study. Many teachers are also able to master the subject matter, but they have difficult to present the material. This research applied a qualitative method using a case study design. It was carried out in the State Madrasah schools of Salahutu District, Central Maluku Regency. This research was conducted from August to 02 November 2017. The subjects of this study were 3 Arabic teachers, two principals and 6 class students totaling 12 informants. Based on the results, it was found that the pedagogic competence of Arabic language teachers was still relatively low due to the several indicators that were not implemented during the learning process. The personality’s competence of Arabic language teachers is relatively good compared to their pedagogical competence. The lacks of training, facilities, and rewards have caused the low educational competence of teachers. Their personal competence is due to strict supervision and their commitment to building the ummah as followers of religion and not because of their profession as teachers. Students are motivated to learn Arabic due to the motivation is given by the teacher, the mu'amalah is good between teachers and students, and there is a continuous and rigorous evaluation.

Abstract

Facebook is a social media that is very popular with students in Indonesia. Thus, this study attempted to examine the increased of students’ Arabic acquisition through Facebook group learning. This research was quantitative research using quasi-experimental design. The sample of this study consists of two classes from the students of the Arabic language education department at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim. The instrument of this research was writing test. The results of this study indicated an increase of students’ Arabic acquisition so the researchers concluded that Facebook groups can improve the students’ ability to write in Arabic.

Abstract

The development of technology can be used as a means of supporting learning. Like learning based on digital products for students.  The study aimed at describing and analyzing the implementation of learning Arabic Writing Skill (Maharah Kitabah) based on digital products, namely the creation and publication of journal articles and its effects on the learning process. This research was conducted on 22 students writing skills class (Maharah Kitabah) 3, 5th of the semester. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques are, 1) observation of learning writing skills (Maharah Kitabah) III, 2) interviews with lecturers and students writing skills classes (Maharah Kitabah) III about the implementation of Arabic Writing Skill (Maharah Kitabah)based on digital product and the impact, and 3) documentation of learning data and works student digital products. Maharah Kitabah learning based on digital products in the form of writing scientific articles online by utilizing references and references of digital managers has a good impact for the students who took part in the Maharah Kitabah learning process with this model, all students were able to make Arabic journal articles using Mendeley and Turnitin citations, and students were able to publish Arabic journal articles to national e-journals.

Abstract

The present study attempted to investigate and measure the performances of multilingual and mono-multilingual students of the pesantren modern IMMIM in Makassar. This study employed the mixed-method approach where the 30 students of the Junior High School were selected randomly and participated as the subject of the research. The qualitative data gained through the interview and observation of the students’ behavior in English speaking and the quantitative data obtained through the speaking test. The results show that the multilingual students tend to behave extrovert and ambivert behavior in English speaking while the mono-multilingual students behave introvert. It was strengthened by the speaking test achievement which shows that the multilingual students have the high score in terms of the fluency and comprehensibility while the mono-multilingual students have the high score regarding the accuracy, especially in grammar

Abstract

This study aimed at determining whether or not the knowledge, educational level, perception, and attitude of the pesantren students affect the implementation of the multilingual simultaneous-sequential model (MSSM). This research employed quantitative research using a survey design. The sample of the study consisted of 100 students of three pesantren schools in the city of Makassar (Pesantren Modern IMMIM, Pondok Madinah, and Pesantren Darul Arqam Muhammadiyah Gombara). The data were collected through the questionnaire and be analyzed descriptively and inferentially using SPSS program. The results found that the knowledge, level of education, perception, and attitude of pesantren students collectively had a positive impact on the MSSM. However, these perceptions have no significant effect on the MSSM implementation partially. The results of this study contributed to developing further multilingual teaching and learning material such as syllabus, lesson plan, and course book for pesantren students in Indonesia, especially in Makassar.

Abstract

All religions teach peace and welfare to their adherents through tolerance. The religious teaching, however, can also be the trigger of interreligious conflicts as it happened in Ambon in 1999-2011. This study aims at determining whether or not the knowledge, education level, perception, and attitudes of the Ambones’ Muslim community affect the interreligious tolerance in Ambon. This research employed quantitative research using survey design. The sample of the study consisted of 100 Muslims in Ambon city. The data have been collected through a questionnaire distributed, and they have been analyzed descriptively and inferentially using the SPSS program. The results found that the knowledge, level of education, perception, and attitude of the Ambones’ Muslim community collectively had a positive impact on the interreligious tolerance amongst the Ambones’ community. However, this perception has no significant effect on tolerance partially. The results of this study contributed to prevent and manage further unpredictable of interreligious conflict in the city of Ambon, Maluku. الملخصتعلم جميع الأديان السلام والازدهار للمعتندين من خلال التسامح. ومع ذلك ، يمكن أن تكون التعاليم الدينية أيضًا محفزًا للصراع بين الأديان كما حدث في أمبون في 1999-2011. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تحديد ما إذا كانت المعرفة ، ومستوى التعليم ، وتصورات ومواقف المجتمع المسلم في أمبون تؤثر على التسامح بين الأديان في مالوكو. يستخدم هذا البحث البحث الكمي باستخدام تصميم المسح. تكونت عينة البحث من 100 مسلم في مدينة أمبون. تم جمع البيانات من خلال استبيان وتحليلها وصفيًا واستنتاجيًا باستخدام SPSS 19. ووجدت نتائج الدراسة أن معرفة ومستوى التعليم والإدراك وموقف المجتمع الإسلامي في أمبون بشكل جماعي كان لها تأثير إيجابي على التسامح بين الأديان بين شعب أمبون. ومع ذلك ، ليس لهذا التصور تأثير كبير على التسامح الجزئي. تساهم نتائج هذه الدراسة في منع وإدارة الصراع بين الأديان الذي لا يمكن توقعه أكثر في مدينة أمبون ، مالوكو.الكلمات المفتاحية: التصور ، مسلمو مالوكو ، الموقف ، التسامح بين الأديان                                                                         AbstrakSemua agama mengajarkan perdamaian dan kesejahteraan bagi penganutnya melalui toleransi. Namun, ajaran agama juga bisa menjadi pemicu konflik antaragama seperti yang terjadi di Ambon pada 1999-2011. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menentukan apakah pengetahuan, tingkat pendidikan, persepsi, dan sikap komunitas Muslim Ambon mempengaruhi toleransi antaragama di Maluku. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain survei. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 100 Muslim di kota Ambon. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan program SPSS 19. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa pengetahuan, tingkat pendidikan, persepsi, dan sikap komunitas Muslim Ambon secara kolektif memiliki dampak positif pada toleransi antaragama di antara masyarakat Ambon. Namun, persepsi ini tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap toleransi secara parsial. Hasil dari penelitian ini berkontribusi untuk mencegah dan mengelola konflik antaragama yang tidak dapat diprediksi lebih lanjut di kota Ambon, Maluku.

Abstract

Listening skills (maharah istima’) are the initial abilities that a person must master in learning Arabic. However, due to the lack of attention to Maharah Istima's learning, which was caused by a lack of variation in learning, a teacher / lecturer must be able to innovate in teaching. One form of innovation is to use video media to teach special materials. This study aims to describe the use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) as a blended learning in Maharah Istima’ II lectures as well as the perception of Arabic Language Department (PBA) students of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang State Islamic University 2016/2017. This research is a qualitative research with data collection methods by observation and interviews. The results showed that ICT in maharah istima learning could improve student learning motivation. In addition it can help students add new vocabulary and can be applied in speaking skills (maharah kalam).

Abstract

The use of the cap "Songkok Recca" is believed to have begun in the reign of the 31st Bone King named Andi Mappanyukki. The "Songkok Recca" hat used can show the social strata of the wearer. This study aims to look at public perceptions in the use of these hats associated with the social stratification of the Bugis community in Bone Regency. The study was conducted in Awangpone District, Bone Regency, South Sulawesi Province, using a qualitative approach, with a purposive sampling technique in determining informants. The method of collecting data using observation and interviews, with the number of informant’s as many as ten people. Data analysis techniques in this study are qualitative data analysis techniques. The results show that there a shift in the use of "Songkok Recca" hats today. In terms of social stratification, the use of the hat "Songkok Recca" no longer shows the degree of someone, but nowadays it is more described as a form of local wisdom of the Bugis community in Bone Regency.

Abstract

AbstractThis research attempts to explore the implementation of blended learning in teaching the course of ‘Qawaid al-Imla 1’ and the perceptions of teachers and students towards the blended learning application at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. It applied a grounded theory design using the observation and interview to collect the data. The data gained were analyzed using Strauss & Corbin model, they are, open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The results found that application of blended learning helped the lecturers in planning and presenting the material as well as the evaluating the students’ learning progress. The students perceive good in the implementation of blended learning provided by the university.Keywords: blended learning, hybrid learning, Arabic, qawaid imla’ تمكين التعليم الإلكتروني كالدراسة التفاعلية للمتعليمن العربيةنورل مريدة، سعدنا زلفقار بن تاهيرالجامعة الإسلامية الحكومية مولانا مالك ابراهيم مالانج، جامعة إقراء بورو، مالوكوnurilmuridah86@uin-malang.ac.id, saidnazulfiqar@gmail.com يحاول هذا البحث استكشاف عن تطبيق التعلم المختلط فى تدريس المادة "قواعد الإملاء 1" و تصورات المعلمين والطلبة نحو هذا تطبيق التعلم المدمج فى الجامعة الإسلامية الحكومية مولانا مالك إبراهيم مالنج. استخدمت الباحثة نظرية التصميم التطبيقي لهذا البحث التى تحتوي على الملاحظة والمقابلة لجمع البيانات. وتم تحليل البيانات المكتسبية باستخدام نموذج ستراوس و كوربين (Strauss & Corbin)، وهي التشفير المفتوحى، التشفير المحوري و التشفير الانتقائي. والنتيجة هي بأن تطبيق التعلم المختلط يساعد كثيرا المحاضرين والمدرسين فى التخطيط وتقديم المواد المدروس كما هو فى تقيــيم عن تطوّر التعلم لدي الطلاب. وكان الطلاب يقدرون على التنفيذ جيدا لهذا برنامج التعلم المختلط الذي تقدمه الجامعة.الكلمة الرئيسية: التعلم المختلط، تنفيذ طريقة التعليم، اللغة العربية، الطلبة، قواعد الإملاء.
