Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the English language skills of students after using the SVRK learning model in learning English for agricultural students. The researchers wanted to find out whether the SVRK learning model could improve the English language achievement of Kahuripan Kediri University Faculty of Agriculture students. The sample in this study amounted to 19 students based on the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Kahuripan Kediri. The results showed that it was known that t-value was higher than t-critical = (7.935> 1.734). It can be concluded that there is a significant improvement in English language achievement of students after being taught using the SVRK learning model. So, the researchers provide recommendations to be able to use the SVRK model on learning English classes at the faculty of agriculture in particular and students in other study programs in general.

Abstract

Prinsip dasar anak yaitu bermain, aktifitas yang muncul yang sering dijumpai adalah gerakan yang aktif dan atraktif. Inilah sebuah kecerdasan kinestetik anak yang seharusnya mampu kita manfaatkan sebagai orang dewasa yang ada di sekitar mereka, kecerdasan kinestetik ini apabila dikombinasikan dengan kecerdasan pemerolehan bahasa maka akan tercipta sebuah pembiasaan literasi anak semenjak dini. Bahasa yang merupakan identitas sebagai manusia itu sendiri menuntut kita untuk terus mengembangkan ilmu bahasa, maka dari itu tulisan ini mencoba mengakomodir keinginan tersebut melalui pembahasan keterpaduan kecerdasan kinestetik dan budaya literasi bahasa. Budaya literasi diharapkan tumbuh semenjak dini atas prakarsa anak itu sendiri tanpa ada tekanan dari guru, orang tua, atau orang sekitarnya yang lain, baik dalam pemerolehan bahasa Indonesia, atau Bahasa asing.

Abstract

This research is generally to find out the differences in the English vocabulary ability between students are taught by using Flashcards and those are not taught by using Flashcards for seventh grade students of SMP Wahidiyah Kediri. The research applied in Experiment Class and Control Class. The instruments for collecting the data were interview, field note, Pre-test and Post-test. The researcher uses Quasi-experiment and uses quantitative method with analyzed the data by using T-test. The result shows that there is significance different between students are taught by using Flashcards and those are taught by using TPS (Think Pair Share). The data analysis shows that Tcount >Ttable (4,330 > 1,664), Ha is accepted. In Pre-test, the average score of Experiment Class is 62, 44 and Control Class is 72, 79. In Post-test, the average score of Experiment Class is 83, 49 and Control Class is 69. The result shows that the average score of Experiment Class is higher than Control Class in Post-test.

Abstract

This research is a study of the scientific approach (with the 5M method) which is part ofthe implementation of the KKNI curriculum which will be applied in learning to writescientific papers. In connection with that, the research objective is to see the increase inthe ability of students in writing scientific papers by applying a scientific approach (the5M method). The method used is a quasi-experimental method, namely quasiexperimental with a one group pretest-postest design. The design only looks at thelearning outcomes of students before and after treatment with the scientific approach (5Mmethod). The sample that will be subject to treatment is 30 people from the entirepopulation. This was obtained from 30% of the 103 on year 2019 students who receivedthe Scientific Paper Writing Engineering course. While the test that will be used tomeasure the ability of students is the writing ability test. The test is made in the form of adescription. Learning outcomes were tested using the Liliefors normality test, testing datahomogeneity with the F homogeneity test, and testing hypotheses with the T-test Key Word: Scientific approach; Writing Skills

Abstract

Learning strategies are closely related to student achievement, this study aims to determine objectively one of the language strategies used by students, namely metacognitive strategies, and whether there is a correlation between metacognitive strategies used by students and the students’ English achievement. This research method using quantitative correlation approach. The subjects were students of second semester of Agricultural students of University of Kahuripan Kediri academic year 2016/2017. The results of this study showed that metacognitive strategies, there are 0% of students are categorized as very high, 60% of students are categorized as high, 20% of students are categorized as enough, 13% of students categorized as low, and 7% of students categorized as very low, while students’ English achievement is known as 0% students were categorized as excellent, 60% students are categorized as good, 33% of the students students are categorized as enough, 7% of students categorized as low, and 0% of students categorized as very low. From the analysis using product moment correlation coefficient formula, it can be explained the value of = 0,547 is higher than tabel = 0,514, it can be concluded that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. In other words, the use of metacognitive strategies had a positive and significant correlation with English achievement of the second semester students of Agricultural students of University of Kahuripan Kediri academic year 2016/2017.

Abstract

Penelitian supply chain managemen gula merah kelapa dilakukan UD Gula Nirwana Blitar Desa Dayu dengan tujuan mencari supply chain dan nilai harga di setiap titik market. Metode yang dipakai analisis kuantitatif dan kualitatif yakni dengan cara observasi, survei, dokumentasi, dan, wawancara. Sampel data diambil secara snowball sampling metode yakni sejumlah pedagang pasar yang ada dikawasan Kabupaten Blitar sampai ke pengguna akhir. Pengepul membeli gula merah kelapa dari UD Gula Nirwana harga Rp 14.000/kg dan dijual kepada sejumlah agen harga Rp 14.500/kg. Agen menjual gula merah kelapa kepada pengecer dengan harga Rp 15.000/kg. Di tingkat pengecer harga gula merah kelapa berkisar Rp 15.500/kg – Rp 15.700/kg. Panjangnya supply chain yang terjadi karena tidak semua konsumen gula merah kelapa di berbagai daerah mendapatkan gula merah dari UD gula Nirwana secara langsung seperti yang dilakukan pabrik kecap Tjapar dan Roti Orion Blitar, melainkan dari pengepul yang membeli gula merah di UD Gula Nirwana kemudian kepada agen, agen ke pengecer, selanjutnya pengecer kepada konsumen akhir. Perlunya memotong supply chain dengan cara pengrajin langsung distribusi kepada pengecer agar pengrajin mendapatkan peningkatan margin dan pengguna akhir bisa mendapatkan harga lebih murah.

Abstract

Corona virus is a virus thatcan infect the respiratory system. One of the effort to prevent corona virus infection is to increase the body’s immune status. In a effort to protect themselves from this virus, many people are starting to look at supplements to strengthen their immune system. The assumption that supplements can prevent the corona virus is not entirely true. Supplements can indeed provide us with the nutritional intake needed to support health and endurance. However, this does not necessarily prevent direct transmission of the virus. The solution and one of the local wisdoms of the people in Indonesia in increasing immunity is the habit of consuming herbal drinks which are believed to increase the body’s immunity because there are several very useful ingredients. The purpose of this PKM activity is as one of the preventive measure taken by the people of Senden village, Kediri Regency in warding off the corona virus/covid-19 by making innovations in herbal drinks from processed spices and consuming herbal drinks as an effort to ward off the corona virus or covid19. This activity uses training methods and direct assistance throught the preparation and implementation stages of making herbal drinks.

Abstract

Reading can be said a complex endeavor that is made up of multiple components, all of which must be orchestrated and executed by the reader with the goal of making meaning from the text. Reading effectively requires the readers to make accurate sense of the text by making inferences based on connections beyond and within the current text. This study investigated the effects of a reading strategy, repeated readings on reading fluency. Three students as members of two classrooms in one junior high school participated in this 2 weeks study. The research employed a quantitative means by using pre-experimental Design. A pre – Post - test design was used. The results of this study indicate that repeated reading strategy is found to be overall effective on reading speed and reading accuracy. This study has some recommendations for teaching instructions and research. For example, teachers can use it as an instructional approach for improving the reading fluency not only for those with reading difficulties, but for all students. As for research, future studies should consider including a larger number of students who experience reading difficulties. Key words: Repeated reading, reading fluency, and reading difficulties
