Abstract

Obesity is a serious problem for teenagers and a global pandemic as well as the biggest chronic health problem for both advanced and developing countries. The purpose of this study is to prove the effect of counseling on lifestyle modification on obesity prevention. Design of Quasy Experiment Study "with pre-test and post-test given to the control group and modifying counseling group. Technique sample by random sampling and with formula proportional random sampling. The result showed that there was a change of normal nutrient status but there was no significant effect of counseling to modify the lifestyle to good nutrition status in treatment group (ρ=0,107) and control group (ρ = 0,081), there was change of nutrition pattern and good nutrition but there was no significant effect of counseling to modify the lifestyle to diet and good nutrition in the treatment group (ρ=0,001) and control group (ρ=0,060), physical activity no change and meaningful influence of counseling to modify lifestyle both in treatment group and control group with value (ρ=0,59). Conclusion found that lifestyle modification counseling can give enough change to nutrition status of student, diet and nutritional intake. Keywords : Obesity, lifestyle modification counseling

Abstract

ABSTRAK Anak sekolah termasuk kelompok rentan gizi. Kebiasaan mengonsumsi makanan jajanan pada anak sekolah, terutama pada jeda jam istirahat sekolah. Namun kebiasaan mengonsumsi makanan jajanan sehat masih belum banyak dimiliki oleh anak sekolah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Dasar Inpres Maccini Sombala Kota Makassar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional study yaitu untuk menganalisis faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap pemilihan makanan jajanan siswa di Sekolah Dasar Inpres Maccini Sombala Kota Makassar Tahun 2017. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa SD dengan pengambilan sampel secara purphosive sampling dengan jumlah 146 sampel. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa pengetahuan berhubungan dengan pemilihan makanan jajanan pada siswa dengan nilai p (0,000) < 0,05, uang saku berhubungan dengan pemilihan makanan jajanan pada siswa dengan nilai p (0,003) < 0,05, jenis makanan berhubungan dengan pemilihan makanan jajanan pada siswa dengan nilai p (0,009) < 0,05 dan frekuensi makan berhubungan dengan pemilihan makanan jajanan pada siswa dengan nilai p (0,025) < 0,05. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pengetahuan, uang saku, jenis makanan, frekuensi makan merupakan faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap pemilihan makanan jajanan siswa. Bagi pihak sekolah harus tetap memperhatikan keberadaan makanan jajanan anak sekolah dan perlu mendapat perhatian khusus.

Abstract

Tumbuh kembangnya anak usia sekolah yang optimal tergantung pemberian zat gizi dengan kualitas dan kuantitas yang baik dan benar. Salah satu upaya kesehatan tersebut adalah dengan perbaikan gizi anak usia sekolah dasar. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis hubungan pola konsumsi dan konseling gizi terhadap kejadian obesitas. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional study. Populasi dan sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa dengan pengambilan sampel secara exhaustic sampling dengan jumlah 146 sampel. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu Rama Kota Makassar. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa pola konsumsi berhubungan dengan kejadian obesitas dengan nilai p (0,00) < 0,05, konseling gizi berhubungan dengan kejadian obesitas dengan nilai p (0,01) < 0,05. Kesimpulan diperoleh bahwa ada hubungan pola konsumsi dan konseling gizi terhadap kejadian obesitas. Bagi siswa yang sudah terlanjur menderita obesitas agar menjaga pola makan dan aktivitas fisik secara teratur dan ketat serta berkonsultasi ke ahli gizi. Abstract The optimal growth of school-age children depends on providing nutrients with good and correct quality and quantity. One of the health efforts is to improve nutrition of elementary school age children. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship of consumption patterns and nutrition counseling to the incidence of obesity. The type of research used was observational with a cross sectional study approach. The population and sample of this study were students with exhaustic sampling with 146 samples. This research was conducted at the Rama Integrated Islamic Primary School in Makassar City. The results showed that consumption patterns associated with the incidence of obesity with a value of p (0.00) <0.05, nutritionlcounseling was associated with the incidence of obesity with a value of p (0.01) <0.05. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between consumption patterns and nutritional counseling on the incidence of obesity. For students who have already suffered from obesity in order to maintain regular and strict diet and physical activity and consult a nutritionist.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Included schooled child agglomerate vulnerable nutrient. Consumption wont food on schooled child, particularly on schooled rest hour interval. But consumption wont food healthy still haven't a lot of proprietary by school child. This research is executed at Inpres Maccini Sombala Elementary School Makassar. Observational type that is utilized is observasional with approaching cross sectional study which is to analysis associated factor alimentary election on student at Inpres Maccini Sombala Elementary School Makassar 2017. This observational sample is Elementary School student with taking sample purphosive sampling with amount 146 samples. Acquired observational result that science concerning alimentary election on student with value p (0,000) < 0,05, pocket money concerning alimentary election on student with value p (0,003) < 0,05, alimentary type concerning alimentary election on student with value p (0,009) < 0,05 and eating frequency concerning alimentary election on student with value p (0,025) < 0,05. This observational conclusion is gnostic, pocket money, alimentary type, frequency eats to communicate wont food election on student. To side school shall make a abode to notice wont food existence school child and needs to get special interest.

Abstract

Background: The prevalence of adolescent obesity is increasing worldwide with proportions varying from country to country or between geo­graphical regions within a country. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of nutri­tion education with booklet media on know­ledge, fast food consumption, calorie intake, and body mass index (BMI) in adolescents.Subjects and Method: This was a quasy experiment with no control group. The study was conducted in Junior high school in Medan, North Sumatera. A sample of 31 adoles­cents was selec­ted by purpo­sive sampling. The depen­­dent vari­ables were know­l­edge, fast-food consumption, ca­lorie intake, and BMI. The independent vari­ables were booklet media. Means of knowledge, fast food consumption, calorie intake, and BMI before and after intervention was examined by t-test.Results: Mean of knowledge after intervention (Mean= 12.90; SD= 2.71) was higher than before (Mean= 8.77; SD= 1.54) and it was statisticaly significant (p<0.001). Mean of fast food con­sump­tion after intervention (Mean= 9.48; SD= 1.38) was lower than before (Mean= 10.03; SD= 1.16) and it was statistically significant (p= 0.007). Mean of calorie intake after intervention (Mean= 2735.12; SD= 1999.9) was lower than before (Mean= 2821.09; SD= 216.13) and it was statistically significant (p= 0.003). BMI after intervention (Mean= 26.58; SD= 2.49) was equal with before intervention (Mean= 26.81; SD= 2.49).Conclusion: Nutrition education with booklet improves knowledge, reduces fast food con­sump­tion, and reduce calorie intake.Keywords: nutrition education, booklets, know­ledge, fast food, calorie, body mass indexCorrespondence: Irfan Said. Abstract

Background: Increasing obesity sufferers every year, in a few decades becomes an impor­tant problem. Increased obesity can lead to an increa­s­­ed risk of degenerative diseases which can cause death. Several attempts have been made to prevent and treat obesity. The pur­­­pose of this study is to determine the effective­­ness of peer edu­­ca­tion on knowledge, attitudes, and con­sump­­tion of fast food in adolescents.Subjects and Method: This study is a ran­do­m­ized controlled trial conducted at a Junior High School (SMP Ne­geri 6 Medan), North Su­matera. Samples taken were 60 stu­dents chosen random­ly. The sample was divided into 2 groups: a peer game edu­cation leaf­let group and a peer edu­cation modu­le group. The depen­dent va­r­i­­­able is know­ledge, attitudes, and habits of fast fo­od con­sumption. The indepen­dent vari­able is the pro­vision of leaflets and peer edu­ca­tion mo­du­­les. The data were obtained through in­­­ter­­­­­view, Food Frequency Question­naire (FFQ), and Food Re­call 24 hours. Data were analy­z­ed using t-test.Results: The results showed that the value of nut­ritional knowledge and obesity in the control group (Mean= 12.07; SD= 1.44) was lower com­pared to the intervention group (Mean= 13.50; SD= 1.99), but not statistically significant (p= 0.523). Attitudes toward nutrition and obesity in the control group (Mean= 11.50; SD= 1.22) were low­er than those in the intervention group (Mean = 13.00; SD= 1.78) and were statistically proven sig­nifi­cant (p= 0.008). The score of fast food con­­sumption habits in the control group (Mean= 8.17; SD= 1.23) is lower than that of the inter­vention group (Mean= 9.50; SD= 1.17) and is statis­tically proven significant (p <0.001).Conclusion: The nutrition peer education mo­dule has been shown to be effective in increas­­ing attitudes about nutrition and obesity and redu­cing fast food consumption habits and this has been statistically significant. Abstract

Latar Belakang: Stunting merupakan suatu ketidaktercapaian tinggi badan sesuai umur yang disebabkan karena mengalami kurang gizi menahun atau kronis. Prevalensi stunting di Indonesia tertinggi di Asia Tenggara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor yang memengaruhi stunting pada anak Sekolah Dasar Negeri 014610 Sei Renggas Kecamatan Kisaran Barat Kabupaten Asahan Tahun 2017.Metode: Jenis penelitian adalah cross sectional. Sekolah Dasar Negeri 014610 Sei Renggas memiliki 121 siswa. Sampel penelitian adalah 64 siswa. Data dianalisis secara univariat, bivariat menggunakan uji chi-square dan multivariat dengan uji regresi logistik.Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel pendidikan dan pendapatan keluarga memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan dengan variabel stunting pada taraf nilai signifikan p=0,000(0,05). Kesimpulan: Disarankan kepada pihak sekolah untuk membuat, melaksanakan, dan mengevaluasi program UKS agar lebih baik lagi dalam memberikan penyuluhan kesehatan kepada siswa/siswi agar mengetahui tentang masalah kesehatan dan pentingnya gizi dalam kesehatan.

Abstract

Background: Noodle is one of the popular food products in the community. Purple sweet potato contains large amounts of anthocyanin pigment. Seeing the prospect of great benefits and easily obtained, sweet potatoes can be optimized for use as a source of natural dyes. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the nutrient content of wet noodles and the level of preference for noodles from mocaf flour with natural sweet potato dyes. Material and Method: This type of research is an experiment with a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 2 repetitions to produce 8 experimental designs. Results: The hedonic test results obtained the best formula is F1 with a value of 3.67 categories very like while the hedonic quality test obtained the best formula is F1 with a value of 3.68 categories of purplish, slightly aromatic colour, slightly savoury taste and somewhat chewy texture. The nutritional content of wet noodles are 69.02% water content, 3.67% ash content, 1.03% fat content, 9.77% protein content, 0.34% calcium content and 1.493% phosphorus content. Conclusion: The most preferred wet noodle based on hedonic test and hedonic quality is F1 formula. This wet noodle only has a little nutritional content, further research is needed in order to get the best-wet noodle formulation and has a good nutritional content so that it can be produced as an alternative to wet noodle variations.

Abstract

Latar Belakang; albumin adalah protein yang larut dalam air, mengendap pada pemanasan.  Albumin berperan mengikat obat-obatan yang tidak mudah larut seperti, aspirin, antikoagulan, koumarin, dan obat tidur, mengobati luka bakar dan luka operasi.  Albumin dapat digunkan untuk menghindari timbulnya sembab paru-paru dan ginjal serta carier faktor pembekuan darah.  Salah satu sumber albumin adalah ikan gabus sebagai pengganti HAS karena memiliki kandungan protein yang tinggi.Tujuan; untuk mengetahui kandungan Albumin pada berbagai jenis ikan (Bandeng, tongkol, layang, pepetek, kurisi, pisang-pisang merah, sepat, tawes, betok, dan mujair).Bahan dan Metode; penelitian dengan menggunakan metode Lowry, analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif yaitu perhitungan persamaan regresi kurva standar dan pengukuran konsentrasi dan kadar protein albumin dalam sampel ikan. Hasil; menunjukkan presentase kadar albumin tertinggi terdapat pada ikan layang sebesar 32.09% dan terendah pada ikan tongkol (Auxis tharadz) sebesar 13,87%.Kesimpilan; dalam penelitian ini ditemukan ikan layang memiliki kandungan albumin lebih paling tinggi dibanding dengan jenis ikan lain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

Pendahuluan; Autisme Atau Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) adalah gangguan perkembangan anak yang gejalanya timbul sebelum berusia tiga tahun, manifestasi klinik autisme merupakan gejala-gejala klinik yang timbul pada penyandang autis. Penyandang autis di Indonesia 80% mengalami keracunan logam berat Pb yang disebabkan polusi. Pb dapat menyebabkan gangguan pada anak-anak seperti  penurunan kecerdasan dan perubahan perilaku. Asupan vitamin A  dan dan C yang cukup  pada penderita penyandang autis karena kadar Pb  yang bersifat Pro-aktif dapat dieliminasi dengan antioksidan. Tujuan; untuk mengetahui hubungan asupan vitamin A dan C dengan kadar timbal (Pb) pada rambut dan manifestasi klinik penyandang autis. Bahan dan Metode;  Penelitian ini bersifat observasional dengan rancangan penelitian cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive dengan jumlah sampel 63 orang dan analisis data menggunakan uji correlation pearson dan correlation rank spearmen. Hasil; tidak ada hubungan asupan vitamin A dengan kadar Pb pada rambut penyandang autis diperoleh nilai p  (0,394), ada hubungan asupan vitamin C dengan kadar Pb pada rambut penyandang autis diperoleh nilai p (0,004), tidak ada hubungan asupan vitamin A dengan manifestasi klinik penyandang  autis diperoleh nilai p (0,435), ada hubungan asupan vitamin C dengan manifestasi klinik penyandang autis diperoleh nilai p value adalah (0,002). Kesimpulan  Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan asupan vitamin C dengan kadar Timbal (Pb) dan manifestasi klinik penyandang autis dan tidak ada hubungan asupan vitamin A dengan kadar Timbal (Pb) dan manifestasi klinik penyandang autis.
