Abstract

Many postpartum mothers in Indonesia can not be exclusively breastfed their babies because the breast milk could not be produced smoothly. This is due to postpartum mothers often having experience emotional disturbances which inhibit the release of oxytocin and milk. Breasfeeding father is an active role and involvement of the husband to give moral and emotional support in breastfeeding to release chemical reflexes to produce milk. This research aims to find out the effect of the application of breastfeeding-father to breast milk production. This research was one group time series design. The population of this research was all of normal deliveries of postpartum mothers in puerperal room in Mardi Waluyo Blitar Hospital. The samples selected based on writers for 30 amount people that will be measured their milk production,  breastfeeding  and  the  application  of  breastfeeding  Father,  then  was  given counseling about breastfeeding father and asked to implement it. The data was analized using chi-square test to figure out the difference of breastmilk production between groups applying breastfeeding father and the group did not. The results showed there was differences of breast milk production between groups that applying breastfeeding father and the group did not. So the breastfeeding father could apply the breastfeeding postpartum mothers to increase the breast milk production.

Abstract

Nurses have the greatest opportunity to provide comprehensive health services includingspiritual needs. In fact nurses give less attention on spiritual aspects of the patient. The purpose of thisstudy was to explain the correlation of Muslim patients’ age and expectation of getting Islamic spiritualguidance. This study used cross sectional design with a population of patients treated in inpatienthospital of Ngudi Waluyo Wlingi. The Sample was 35 respondents selected by accidental samplingtechnique. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed rank test with a significance level ofalpha <0.005. The results showed that there were no correlation between Muslim patients’ age and theexpectation of getting Islamic spiritual guidance in the Inpatient Hospital Ngudi Waluyo Wlingi withRho value of 0.4 and the number of respondents who expect spiritual guidance as much as 82%, so it isexpected that Ngudi Waluyo Wlingi hospitals to develop Islamic spiritual guidance to Moslem patient

Abstract

Breast milk is an emulsion of fat in the protein solution, laktosa, and inorganic salts secreted by the mamary glands of the mother. The oxytocin hormone is a hormone that affects of lactation process. Oxytocin is up to the alveoli of the mammry  myoepithelial cell contraction causes surrounding the mammary alveoli and lactiferous ducts. Back massage on cervical 5-6 until the bottom of the shoulder blade stimulate endorphins and oxytocin secretion  and improves blood circulation breast area. The purpose of research to determine the effect of back massage on milk production an mothers post partum in cempaka’s room Ngudi Waluyo Wlingi Hospital November 2014. Design Quasi Experimental research with the design of the Control Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design with Non Random data retrieval with Consecutive Sampling (1 week) with total 24 population and total sample 20 respondents. Analysis data with two different Test Mean (T Test) Independent by using  Paired Sample Test with H1 is accepted when the value of p < 0,05 and Independent Sample Test H1 is accepted when the value of p < 0,05. And research result Paired Sample Test the showed significant values (p) of 0,000 smaller than alpha 0,05. And there is influence of back massage on milk production before and after treatment. From the reserch result suggested all post partum mothers to do a back massage.

Abstract

Until now, hypertension still become a major challenge in Indonesia, because hypertension isa condition that is often found in primary health care. Gender is one of the factors that influence bloodpressure that cannot be changed. Male have higher rates of hypertension than women. Aging alsoresulted in the increase of blood pressure. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation ofsexes and hypertension of elderly in Nglegok Public Health Center Kabupaten Blitar. This research wasdescriptive analytic by using cross sectional design. The population in this study was 54 people whilethe sample was 29 people. The data collection obtained from a medical record and analyzed by theSpearman Rank test. The results showed that there was no correlation between the sexes and hypertensionof elderly in Nglegok Public Health Center Kabupaten Blitar with the Sig. 0.130. This was likelydue to factors that affect hypertension was not only gender, but also age and physical activity, so that theelderly need to be stimulated to actively participate in elderly posyandu in each region, so that theactivities of the elderly will increase

Abstract

In Indonesia, the number of infants reach 10% of the population, in which the prevalence ofdevelopment disorder 12,8%–16% and we need to screening development of children. The mortality ofchildrens high due to accident, poisoning and trauma recorded 7,3% and one of top five lead childdeaths in 1992. Based on interviews with some kader posyandu, we know that the kader had neverreceived training related to early detection growth and development and anticipatory guidance inchildren. The purpose of this science and technology activity for society was to empower kader in theapplication, the socialization of children’s early detection growing and development Method for thisactivity was to team up with 2 partners i.e. Midwife of Kebonagung Village with number of kader of 25people and the midwife of Wonodadi village with number of cadres of as many as 30 people. The methodof this activity was to provide a pre test training before, children’s early detection growth and developmentwith method of lecture, discussion, simulation and applications of valuation DDTK in kindergarten,mentoring and evaluation of training activities and the activities of the posyandu. The results of theevaluation of the training process showed improved knowledge on average level of good on both ofkader and partner, most cadres is skilled, whereas the evaluation of the activities of mentoring atposyandu activities, most of posyandu already documenting the measurement of height, weight, nutritionalstatus, while for childrens’s early detection growing and development with developmental screeningassessment card but not complete. In order for the assessment, documentation, socialization ofchildrens’s early detection growing and development activities and anticipatory guidance fluently,then the expected partner, the Councilor and head of the Clinic Wonodadi made a commitment in themonitoring activities.

Abstract

The rights of the patients can be fulfiled by nurses through orientation by nurses to new patients. The new patient orientation is a agreement between nurses and patients or families in providing nursing care. The agreement is needed to make a good relationship between nurses and patient or their family. The purpose of this study was to explain the effectiveness of the new patient orientation towards the satisfaction level of nursing care in Melati Room RSD Mardi Waluyo Blitar. Method: Research design was  experimental research with quasy experimental design Research sample was 30 new patients at Melati Room RSD Mardi Waluyo Blitar were devided equally into two group, namely treatment and control groups at May 24th until May 31st, 2012, its choosed with concecutive sampling. Analysis using Mann Whitney test. Results: The result showed that the level of patient satisfaction on nursing care of treatment groups were 67% satisfied and 33% very satisfied. While the level of patient satisfaction of nursing care of control groups was 80 % satisfied and 20% dissatisfied. There was significant difference in the level of satisfaction of new patients who did and did not the orientation with p-value  0.00.  Discussion: It is suggested for nurses to pay attention to the patient satisfaction of nursing care by giving orientation to new patients as nursing intervention.

Abstract

Child care pattern is very important in the development of children, especially in overcoming emotional development. The education level of parents is expected to affect the way parents provide for their children's upbringing. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of parental education with child care pattern of pre-school children in RA Tarbiyatussibyan Tanjung Kalidawir Tulungagung. This research is an observational analytic research with cross sectional approach. The independent variable in this study is the level of parental education. While the dependent variable is the child care pattern of pre school children. The population in this study is all parents of pre school children that are 86 people. While the sample are all the population who meet the inclusion criteria which amounted to 72 respondents. The collected data will be analyzed using Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test with significance value of 0.05. Based on the research results obtained value (α) count of 0.000. Because the value of α <0,05, So it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the level of parental education with the child care pattern of pre-school children in RA Tarbiyatussibyan Tanjung Kalidawir Tulungagung. It is suggested to nurse as educator to provide health education about child care pattern and its impact on child growth in pre-school education.
