Abstract

Children’s discipline in some kindergartens is relatively low. It causes difficulties for teachers to prepare children before learning activity or class begin. Currently, most of teachers’s learning tend to be monotonous so the children are easily bored and no passion in doing assignments. Therefore an innovative learning method is needed to improve children's discipline. The objective of this study was to evaluate the project method on increasing of little children’s discipline. The study was conducted at RA Al-Hidayah, Kemang, Bogor Regency, using a number of 44 children as sample. Research method used was experimental design with pretest-posttest control group. Collecting data was performed by observation and documentation. The results of this study showed that discipline of children treated by project method was significantly higher than untreated group. It concluded that the project method can be recommended to apply in kindergarten to increase discipline. Keywords: discipline, early childhood, project method.

Abstract

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia and experts have provided leadership requirements are very strict agency also has a good learning method, a lot of achievements have earned, but why are there still negative cases in this country? The problem under study is about leadership learning methods are to be used Rasulullah SAW to the companions in the book Sunan Ibn Majah, and how to implement the teaching methods in educational leadership at the institution? The learning method is the means used to implement a plan that has been prepared in the form of real and practical activities to achieve the learning objectives. Leadership is the behavior of an individual who leads the activities of a group to a common goal to be achieved (shared goal). Companions are receiving direct hadith from the Prophet Muhammad SAW both subjects and nature answers to the problems faced. This study uses literature review are sourced from the literature. Researchers collected data based on that described for the qualitative analysis. This study addressed the issue of leadership learning methods that take hadith as its foundation. While to analyze the problem, researchers classified the hadith based on the theory of learning methods and leadership to further analyze the classification results and relate it to the subject. Through this study found that the leadership of the Prophet Muhammad learning methods.The most widely used Prophet S.A.W. is exemplary method, lecture and question and answer method. Prophet S.A.W. also use a unifying method, method the direction giver, liability method, the method of advice, wills method, the method fun, istikharah methods, and methods of Tahajjud, as well as commonly used method is the method of the story, the assignment method, the method of teaching leadership in educating fellow companions. This study obtained data that the term leadership (Imamate term) the most widely applied is obedient to the priest. Then the value of leadership exercised by the Prophet Muhammad the companions of the most widely applied is exemplary. The researcher recommends that the leadership institute master three methods above, the exemplary method, a lecture and subsequent question and answer method of applying the values of exemplary leadership, piety to Allah SWT, and noble character in leadership at the institution.Keywords: leadership, learning method, sahabah, Sunan Ibnu Majah

Abstract

This study analyzes the application of student management in the Wadi Mubarak tahfizh program and seeks to find its development. The study uses a descriptive qualitative type approach by providing a narrative description of the management of students conducted in the Al Quran tahfizh program of the Ushuluddin College of Science (STIU) Wadi Mubarak. Research data is presented in verbal form and analyzed without using statistical techniques. The research concludes, first, the importance of time management to regulate the implementation of various activities within the scope of the students' management. Second, in developing discipline, it is necessary to apply the principle of conflict management in Islam, which is oriented to improvement rather than punishment, involving a team that is good at keeping secrets and making tabayun as part of the handling procedures. Third, the importance of building the involvement of parents or guardians in the coaching discipline. Fourth, the need to adjust the recording format with learning targets. Fifth, the importance of formulating an alumni empowerment system, and sixth, the importance of maximizing guidance and counseling services to care for and foster a spirit of learning. AbstrakPenelitian ini menganalisa penerapan manajemen peserta didik pada program tahfizh Wadi Mubarak dan berupaya menemukan pengembangannya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitiatif jenis deskriptif dengan cara memberikan gambaran naratif tentang manajemen peserta didik yang dilakukan pada program tahfizh al Quran Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ushuluddin (STIU) Wadi Mubarak. Data penelitian disajikan dalam bentuk verbal dan dianalisis tanpa menggunakan teknik statistik. Penelitian mengambil simpulan, pertama, pentingnya manajemen waktu untuk mengatur penyelenggaraan berbagai kegiatan kegiatan dalam 7 lingkup manajemen peserta didik. Kedua, dalam pembinaan disiplin perlu diterapkan prinsip manajemen konflik dalam Islam yaitu berorientasi pada perbaikan bukan hukuman, melibatkan tim yang pandai menjaga rahasia dan menjadikan tabayun sebagai bagian dari prosedur penanganan. Ketiga, pentingnya membangun keterlibatan orang tua atau wali dalam pembinaan disiplin. Keempat, perlunya menyesuaikan format pencatatan dengan target-target belajar. Kelima, pentingnya merumuskan sistem pemberdayaan alumni, dan keenam, pentingnya memaksimalkan layanan bimbingan dan konseling dalam rangka merawat dan memupuk semangat belajar.

Abstract

الملخصتوصل الباحث من هذه الدراسة إلى استنتاج وهو أن مفهوم التربية القيادية لطارق السويدان تربوي، وتدريبي، وواقعي، وأسوتي، وإسلامي، بمعنى أن تشكيل قائد هو من خلال التعليم والتدريب ووفق الواقع، وليكون نموذجا، وبالمعايير الإسلامية، وأن مفهوم التربية القيادية لطارق السويدان هو تعزيز نظرية وارن بلانك باسم "108 مهارات قيادية طبيعية" وهي النظرية التي أكدت على أنه لا يوجد شخص ولد قائدا في شكل طبيعي، لأن القيادة هي مجموعة من الخصائص والمهارات التي يمكن تعلُّمها، وأن تطبيق مفهوم التربية القيادية لطارق السويدان في إندونيسيا هو باسم "برنامج تعليم وتدريب الشباب القيادة الإسلامية 30 ساعة"، والتطبيقات للتربية القيادية الإسلامية وفق منظور طارق السويدان هي برنامج التعليم والتدريب القيادي الذي يُقدَّم للشباب الذين هم من أشد الموارد البشرية خصبة، خطوة خطوة، في مؤسسة أو دورة تدريبية أنشئت خاصة بهذا الغرض، وذلك باستخدام مختلف أساليب التعليم والتدريب المتنوعة، وأن مثل هذا التعليم حدث ولا يزال يحدث في واقع المجتمع الإندونيسي مما يؤكد على أهمية دور الكيايات (الشيوخ) في البسانترينات (المعاهد الإسلامية) في إعداد كوادر العلماء الذين هم قادة للمستقبل. The conclusion of this research is that the concept of leadership education of Thariq as-Suwaidan is the concept of leadership education that having the characteristic of tarbawi, tadribi, waqi‘iy, uswati and Islami. In the sense of the formation of a leader must be through education, training, reality, model, and Islamic. Thariq as-Suwaidan’s Leadership Concept is to strengthen Warren Blank’s theory by the name of “108 Skills of Natural Born Leaders”, the theory that there is no natural leader. Leadership is a collection of traits and skills that can be learned. Application of Thariq as-Suwaidan Leadership Education Concept in Indonesia is under the name of “Youth Leadership Education Training Program 30 Hours”. The application of Islamic leadership education of Thariq as-Suwaidan is a leadership and leadership training program provided to the youngest of the most fertile human resources, step by step, in a training institute or course established specifically for this purpose, using various varied learning methods. The kind of education has really happened and will constantly happen in the reality of Indonesian society. The condition strictly shows the importance of the roles of Islamic scholars (ulama) in Islamic schools or Islamic institutions to perform and to shape their next generation to become the future leaders.

Abstract

Toleransi merupakan karakter yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh sebuah bangsa yang plural. Berbagai upaya harus dilakukan untuk menjaganya. Beberapa penelitian tentang toleransi di Indonesia telah banyak dilakukan, seperti oleh Bahari, Menchik dan Grim. Akan tetapi, penelitian yang telah dilakukan, baru sebatas pada menemukan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi toleransi dan dampaknya. Sedangkan penelitian mengenai model pendidikan toleransi, khususnya untuk pelajar belum ada yang melakukan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji pendekatan Bimbingan dan Konseling Gestalt Profetik (G-Pro) dalam meningkatkan toleransi beragama siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dan tempat ujicoba adalah SMA Ibnu ‘Aqil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa toleransi beragama siswa di SMA Ibnu ‘Aqil Bogor untuk kelompok eksperimen adalah hasil rata-rata sebesar 3,23 (pre-test)  dan nilai sebesar 3,36 (post-test). Untuk kelompok kontrol  sebesar 2,97 (pre-test) dan nilai sebesar 3,08 (post-test). Dari hasil tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa toleransi beragama siswa di SMA Ibnu ‘Aqil dari kelompok eksperimen berbeda nyata dengan toleransi beragama kelompok kontrol.

Abstract

Civic education is one of the basic courses that must be taken by every student at the College. The regulation of the course is based on the mandate contained in the law on the National Education System. Through Civic Education courses, the students can be directed national personality, that is how they love their homeland Indonesia, being a democratic, civilized, tolerant and so on. Muhammadiyah through the Council of Higher Education, Research and Development of Muhammadiyah head quarter published a textbook on Civic Education with the title Civic Education toward a Democratic and Civilized Life. The book became a staple in reference Civic Education Course in Universities of Muhammadiyah (PTM). However when elaborate on the Indonesian ideology or, in the book does not contain the formulation history of state basic ideology which was done by the founding fathers. Also how the role and Islamic thought figures who participated in formulating the state basic ideology be part of the material that was duly presented in the book. It is important that students who study in PTM to know and understand the history and struggle of Islamic figures in formulating the basis of the state and the dynamics that occurred at that time. So that their knowledge is complete and in understanding the Pancasila as the state basic ideology of Indonesia. Ki Bagus had very important role in the Committee for Indonesian Independence (PPKI) experienced of dead lock about the change of first principle of Pancasila, and there was serious debate and dynamic. Likewise, the role and thought of Kasman Singodimedjo was also important on the basis state in both the trial PPKI, as well as in the Constituent Assembly. Perpsektif Kasman about Pancasila based on Islam became important after the implementation of 1945 Constitution and Presidential Decree July 5th 1959. The role of Abdul Kahar Mudzakkir as a witness to the history of the struggle of Muslims cannot be neglected; especially Mudzakkir included in the Committee of Nine which develops the basic state eventually became the Jakarta Charter and accepted unanimously by BPUPKI. Furthermore, in the Constituent Assembly Mudzakkir remain committed to make Islam as the basis of the state, where the Constituent Assembly is the foundation of the momentum of the second volume formulation. The core of the Civics book is how the problem of state ideology especially Pancasila can be described in a comprehensive, complete and not partial. Including the relationship between the Jakarta Charter and the Constitution 1945. Other matters concerning aspects of citizenship is derived and the meaning of ideology or basic state. Therefore, this paper presents the role and thought of Ki Bagus Hadikusumo, Kasman Singodimedjo, and Abdul Kahar Mudzakkir become material development of Civic Education in the book of Civic Education toward a Democratic and Civilized Life.Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan merupakan salah satu mata kuliah dasar yang mesti ditempuh oleh setiap mahasiswa dalam studinya di Perguruan Tinggi. Ketentuan adanya mata kuliah ini berdasarkan amanat yang tertuang dalam undang-undang tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional. Melalui mata kuliah Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan ini mahasiswa diarahkan dapat berkepribadian nasional, yaitu bagaimana mereka cinta tanah air Indonesia, bersikap demokratis, beradab, toleran dan lain sebagainya. Muhammadiyah melalui Majelis Pendidikan Tinggi, Penelitian dan Pengembangan (Diktilitbang) Pimpinan Pusat Muhammadiyah (PP Muhammadiyah) menerbitkan satu buku teks tentang Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (Civic Education) dengan judul Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan Menuju Kehidupan yang Demokratis dan Berkeadaban. Buku ini menjadi referensi pokok dalam Mata Kuliah Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan di Perguruan Tinggi Muhammadiyah (PTM). Akan tetapi ketika menguraikan tentang ideologi atau dasar negara Indonesia pada bagian yang membahas tentang “Membangun  Identitas Nasional”, tidak memuat bagaimana sejarah perumusan dasar negara yang dilakukan para founding fathers. Bagaimana pemikiran tokoh-tokoh Islam seperti Ki Bagus Hadikusumo, Kasman Singodimedjo, dan Abdul Kahar Mudzakkir tidak menjadi bagian dalam materi yang sepatutnya disajikan dalam buku tersebut. Hal ini penting agar mahasiswa mengetahui dan memahami sejarah dan perjuangan tokoh-tokoh Islam dalam merumuskan dasar negara serta dinamika yang terjadi saat itu. Sehingga pengetahuan mereka menjadi utuh dan tidak parsial dalam memahami Pancasila sebagai dasar negara Indonesia. Peran Ki Bagus sangat penting ketika Panitia Persiapan Kemerdekaan Indonesia (PPKI) mengalami deadlock soal perubahan sila pertama dasar negara Indonesia. Demikian juga pemikiran Kasman Singodimedjo tentang dasar negara baik dalam sidang PPKI, maupun dalam sidang Konstituante. Perpsektif Kasman tentang Pancasila yang berbasis pada Islam menjadi penting setelah diberlakukan kembali UUD 1945 dengan lahirnya Dekrit Presiden 5 Juli 1959. Demikian juga pemikiran Abdul Kahar Mudzakkir sebagai saksi sejarah perjuangan umat Islam tidak bisa dilupakan begitu saja, Abdul Kahar Mudzakkir termasuk dalam Panitia Sembilan yang bertugas menyusun dasar negara yang pada akhirnya menjadi Piagam Jakarta. Dalam Sidang Konstituante Mudzakkir tetap komitmen menjadikan Islam sebagai dasar negara, di mana Sidang Konstituante adalah momentum perumusan dasar negara jilid kedua. Inti dari buku PKn adalah bagaimana masalah ideologi negara khususnya Pancasila dapat dijelaskan secara komprehensif, utuh dan tidak parsial. Termasuk hubungan antara Piagam Jakarta dan UUD 1945. Oleh karena itu disertasi ini membahas pemikiran Ki Bagus Hadikusumo, Kasman Singodimedjo, dan Abdul Kahar Mudzakkir menjadi bahan pengembangan materi Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dalam buku ajar Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan Menuju Kehidupan yang Demokratis dan Berkeadaban.

Abstract

During the first World Conference on Muslim Education in 1977 in Mecca, Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas presented a highly important theory to the Muslim community. According to al-Attas, the most fundamental problem being confronted by the ummah today is the loss of ad?b. Al-Attas then offered a resolution in the form of ad?b-based education (ta'd?b). In this article, the writer has tried to examine the concept of ad?b as defined by al-Attas and its relevance towards education in Indonesia. The writer has used a qualitative method in the form of content analysis towards the works of al-Attas. Moreover, the writer has also conducted interviews to complement the required data. The results show that the concept of ad?b as outlined by al-Attas more than 30 years ago still holds a high relevance towards education in Islam. Ad?b not only presents itself as a theoretical concept, but also practical and applicable; encompassing aim of education, curriculum, teacher qualification, learning methods, evaluation methods and including also the means and infrastructure for learning. The concept of ad?b by al-Attas, if comprehended correctly, could be a solution to the crisis in the world of education today.Keyword: adab, attas, education

Abstract

Elementary education is a basic level of education that will affect a person's character in the further. If children are educated by good and appropriate educational method in elementary school, they will perform as a good quality or character of person. The aim of this study was to evaluate the achievement of character education in different types of elementary school. There are three types of school observed, that is public, religion, and culture school, and two schools for each types. There were six principal characters evaluated were faithful, pious, noble, self reliant, democratic and responsible. The results showed that Islamic boarding schools and cultural based schools reinforce the character education to students more frequently than the public school. The achievement of character of students in Islamic boarding schools and cultural based schools better than that in public school, indicated by higher grading. While the characters of faith and piety in elementary schools, is generally in need very serious attention.Keywords: achievement, basic education, character, elementary school, quality character

Abstract

Pelajaran bahasaSundadikategorikansebagaimuatan lokalyang harusdiberikan kepadasiswa Sekolah Dasar. Pelajaran ini memiliki beberapabahan ajar sepertimendengarkan(Sunda: ngaregepkeun), berbicara(Sunda: nyarita), membaca(Sunda: maca), dan menulis(Sunda: nulis). Latar belakang penelitianinididasarkankeprihatinanyang mendalam terhadap materibahasabuku teksSundayang tidakcocok dengan nilaitauhidyang dapat merusakkeyakinan para pelajarmuslim. Masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu (1) bagaimanadeskripsi isimatericeritadalam buku teksbahasaSundayang digunakandi Sekolah Dasarditinjaudarinilai ketauhidan? dan (2) bagaimanabahan alternatifuntuk cerita-ceritadalambuku teksbahasaSundadiSekolah Dasar? Dalam penelitian ini, penulismenjelaskanteoridananalisisdalam buku teksbahasaSundayang digunakandi Sekolah Dasarjikaditinjauberdasarkannilaitauhid. Metode penelitian yang digunakandalam penelitian iniadalah studiliteratur(library research) denganpendekatandeskriptif kualitatif. Sumber datapenelitian ini adalahbuku teksbahasaSundadi Sekolah Dasar. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakandua metode, yaituobservasi dan dokumentasi. Teknikanalisis dataadalahanalisis isi. Hasilpenelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa judul kisah dalambuku pelajaranbahasaSundadiSekolah Dasar. Oleh karena itu, jumlahjudulkisahyangdianalisisadalah32, yaitu 17 (53%) judulmemilikinilaitauhid, sedangkan15 (47%) judulmemilikikontradiksidengannilai ketauhidan. Penelitian inimemilikikesimpulan bahwamasih ditemukanbahankisahdalam buku teksbahasaSundadi Sekolah Dasaryang bertentangan dengannilaitauhid.

Abstract

Pendidikan dasarberperan untuk pembentukankarakterpeserta didik. Keberhasilanpendidikan dasardalam membentukkaraktersesuaidengantujuan pendidikan nasionaladalah landasankeberhasilan dalampendidikan lanjutan. Pendidikan karakterdalam sistempendidikan nasionalberpusat padatujuan nasionalUU No.20 tahun 2003yaitu untukmengembangkan potensipeserta didikagarmenjadi manusia yangberimandantakwa kepada Allahserta menjadiwarga negarademokratisdan bertanggung jawab. Tujuan penelitianini adalah untukmenentukan isimateridongengdalam buku teksbahasa IndonesiaSekolah Dasardanmencari bahan alternatifbukudongengsesuai denganpendidikan karakter. Metode yang digunakan adalahdeskriptif kualitatifyang bertujuanuntuk menggambarkansecara sistematisfakta-faktayang ditemukandi lapangan. Jenispenelitian iniadalah kepustakaan. Sastramerupakan serangkaian metode pengumpulan dataliteratur, membaca, merekam, dan pengolahanbahan penelitian. Sumberdata penelitianberasal daridata primerdandata sekunder. Teknikanalisis data menggunakananalisis isi: analisisdongeng(materitingkat kelas)dananalisis material(juduldongeng). Penelitian ini memperlihatkan adanya materi yang sesuai (40%) dan bertentangan (60%) denganpendidikan karakter. Dari hasil analisisdapat disimpulkanbahwabahanmedia pendidikansebagaikarakterdongengdalam buku teksbahasa Indonesiadi Sekolah Dasarmasihtidak sesuaidengandongengyang bersifatpendidikan karakter, benar, mulia, mandiri, demokratis, danakuntabel.
