Abstract

In this 21st century, Mathematic Literacy plays important roles in the world of mathematics education. Learners are expected to be mathematical literate and are able to understand and actualize it in real-life problems. The real-life problems of mathematics, for example the graphics of Economic Inflation, can be easily found in the on and offline newspapers. The newspapers literacy is expected to advocate to students’ mathematic literacy. Today, the mathematics is often abstractly valued so that it hardly affects the students’ ability to solve mathematic problems found in the real-life.This research is literatur research that studies, analysis, and concludes literatture. This paper will discuss about the relationship between Mathematic and Newspaper Literacies. Furthermore discuss how to the empowering college studens critical thinking skill trough mathematic and newspaper literacies.

Abstract

 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan kinerja keuangan antara perbankan syariah  dan perbankan konvensional periode 2011-2014 di  Indonesia. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah perbankan yang terdaftar di indonesia, yang berjumlah 12 bank konvensional dan 9 bank syariah, dan pengambilan sampel ditentukan dengan metode purposive sampling, Analisis statistik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Menggunakan uji beda dua rata-rata (independent sample t-test). Parameter yang dugunakan untuk melakukan perbandingan kinerja keuangan perbankan adalah dengan menggunakan rasio keuangan yakni yang meliputi  capital adequacy ratio (CAR),  return on asset (ROA),  return on equity (ROE), non perfoming loans (NPL),  biaya operasional pendapatan operasional (BOPO), loan  to deposit ratio (LDR). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan atau rata-rata rasio yang ada maka terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara bank syariah dengan bank konvemsional. Namun secara keseluruhan kinerja perbankkan syariah lebih baik dibanding perbankan konvensional pada periode penelitian.

Abstract

The students' difficulty understanding lecture material is due to the lack of learning media that can help students learn independently. This study aims to develop a learning video tutorial based on the Screencastify screen record. This type of research is developmental research. The development model used is the Plomp development model. The development of the learning model is divided into three stages, namely the initial research, the prototype production, and the model assessment stage. The technique of collecting data in this research is observation and interview. The instrument used to collect data was a questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out to know the feasibility or validity of the product being developed. Media testing uses expert judgment. The validity measurement uses the Likert scale. The results of the validity and practicality of the validators were carried out by using the Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC) test using the SPSS program. The results showed that the educational statistics tutorial videos were classified as valid for all categories and very practical, with a score of 85.5 based on students' answers as respondents. It can be concluded that the learning video developed is valid so that it is feasible to be applied in the learning process.
