Abstract

Learning media is very important to support the success of teaching and learning, especially to develop student creativity. However, the learning media used by lecturers, especially geography education study programs, was not very applicable. The research aimed to examine the effectiveness of application-based learning media, namely Canva in making ePosters as geography learning media. This research was developmental research involving a classroom action research (PTK) framework. Participants in the research involved 27 students and 3 collaborators who volunteered to take part in the research project. Data collection was carried out by employing interviews and surveys. The interview results were transcribed and analyzed thematically and the survey results were analyzed usingn descriptive statistics. Small and large group answered closed-ended questionnaire showed 88.39% this model of teaching was very practical. The results of the interview analysis also indicated that all students agreed that project-based learning is very applicable. Abstrak Media pembelajaran sangat penting untuk menunjang keberhasilan belajar mengajar terutama untuk meningkatkan kratifitas mahasiswa. Namun saat ini media pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh dosen, khusus prodi pendidikan geografi masih kurang aplikaitif. Penelitian bertujuan menguji keefektifan media pembelajaran berbasis aplikatif, yakni Canva dalam membuat ePoster.sebagai media pembelajaran geografi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan melibatkan kerangka kerja penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Partisipan dalam penelitian melibatkan 27 mahasiswa dan 3 kolabotor yang dengan sukarela mengikuti proyek penelitian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan survei. Hasil wawancara ditranskrip dan dianalisis secara tematik dan hasil hasil survei dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif. Hasil analisis angket pada kelompok kecil dan kelompok menunjukkan bahwa 88.39% sepakat bahwa pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi sangat praktis. Hasil analisis wawancara menunjukkan bahwa semua mahasiswa sepakat bahwa pembelajaran berbasis projek ini sangat aplikatif. Kata Kunci: pendidikan geografi, eposter, penelitian tindakan kelas, Canva.

Abstract

This research aims to carry out research and development to produce products and find out the feasibility of developing these products. The product produced is in the form of module teaching materials, namely geography teaching materials based on character education on environmental material. The problem formulation in this research is to determine the suitability of the teaching materials being developed. In this research, the test subjects were students of SMA Negeri 1 Embaloh Hlir, Kapuas Hulu Regency who were in class X with a total of 28 students. This research and development refers to the model according to Borg and Gall with research and development steps through 4 stages or what is called a 4-D model which has been modified into a 3-D model, namely defining, designing and developing in stages without carrying out stages. The final stage is the dissemination stage. The research instruments used were material and media expert validation as well as student response questionnaires to determine the suitability of teaching materials. This research produced teaching materials in the form of modules by obtaining a feasibility level from material experts of 80%, media experts of 78% and student responses of 83%.
