Abstract

Semakin baik komunikasi keluarga, semakin jarang remaja melakukan kenakalan. Efek positifnya adalah remaja merasa ada yang peduli dengan masalah, kehidupan, dan masa depannya. Sebaliknya, semakin jarang komunikasi di dalam keluarga, maka semakin tinggi pulalah remaja melakukan kenakalan. Hal ini terjadi karena keluarga tidak berfungsi sebagaimana mestinya.Keluarga adalah dasar bagi kemanusiaan masyarakat. Remaja yang sering memiliki konflik tak terselesaikan dengan orang tuanya berada pada resiko yang tinggi untuk melakukan kenakalan. Adanya konflik di dalam keluarga membuat remaja kehilangan pengalaman personalnya, yang penuh cinta dan adanya tempat bernaung. Konflik terjadi ketika kedua belah pihak mengalami ketidaksepakatan mengenai suatu hal.  Ketika hal itu terjadi maka keahlian resolusi konflik perlu untuk mengatasi perbedaan dan tetap menjalin hubungan yang positif. Ketika komunikasi dan solusi konflik dilihat sebagai sebuah masalah, maka kita harus merujuk pada adanya masalah di dalam hubungan antar pribadinya. Kemampuan untuk menyelesaikan konflik penting bagi semua tahapan perkembangan manusia, karena dapat mengarah pada hubungan yang produktif dan harmonis.

Abstract

Media becomes the mirror of society and refl ects what happened within. Study of gender cannot be separated from technology, which by gender is both shaping and shaped by internet. In Indonesia, there are many websites that segmented based on gender (gender space), such as Vemale.com and Sooperboy.com. This research aims to seek the representation of women in these different gendered spaces. Using qualitative approach with qualitative content analysis as the methodology, the result shows that the websites already represent women in public space, even though it is still overshadowed by the domestic rules of women in private space.

Abstract

The usage of internet in higher education is increasing. This system is beingimplemented for efficiency and effectivity of communication and activity monitoring among?the academicians. On the other hand, not all academicians have the exact same technology?literacy. Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta is one of top university in Indonesia that?already use many internet based programmes in their academic and administration activities.?The purpose of this research see how the role of gender and generation affect the internet?usage of academicians in UMS. Internet usage pattern covers items such as knowledge?and experience on the internet, purpose of using internet, and frequency of using e-mail.?The result shows that generation become the main factor that influence the pattern and?optimalization usage of the internet than the gender one. Academicians that belong to?Generation Y or milineal is the generation that has the highest potential of maximalize the?internet technology, especially for academic activity.

Abstract

Friendship is a relationship between voluntarily wounded individuals. Friendships have a responsibility to be emotionally supportive, actively provide assistance, maintain confidence, and support each other. Benefit in friendship usually  include skills in activity, emotional support and help. Intercultural friendship is a more specific and more complex phenomenon that has its own characteristics in terms of relationships. The meeting between two different cultures in building a relationship of intercultural friendship. Establish intercultural friendship relationships with local people by immigrants as a form of adaptation to the new environment.  Immigrants are individuals who move from one region to another in a country influenced by push factors and pull factors such as economic, environmental, and educational factors. Immigrants can experience several conditions when they are in a new environment such as feelings of anxiety and uncertainty to interact with the surrounding environment. This study aims to find out how the relationship of intercultural friendship can reduce the level of anxiety and uncertainty of  Zimbabwean students at the Muhammadiyah Surakarta University. The research method used qualitative method by using population from foreign students at Muhammadiyah Surakarta University and purposive sampling technique that is sampling based on student's country of origin Zimbabwe. Data collection by interview and documentation,  for analysis using qualitative content analysis. Credibility and validity use inter-code reliability and triangulation of data sources and theories.Keywords : Adaptation, Migration , Anxiety, Uncertainty, Intercultural, Friendship.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi membuat penyebaran informasi berpindah begitu cepat. Cepatnya penyebaran informasi dari satu orang ke orang lain disebut dengan viral. Berbagai hal viral mudah ditemukan di dunia maya, misalnya gambar viral, video viral, status viral, hingga lagu viral. Sesuatu yang sedang viral di media sosial kerap dijadikan bahan meme oleh warganet. Meme menjadi fenomena hangat di dunia maya dan menjadi wahana hiburan karena sifatnya yang lucu dan menghibur. Salah satu meme yang sempat viral dan menjadi perbincangan hangat di jagat maya adalah meme kasus korupsi e-KTP Setya Novanto. Meme Setya Novanto diunggah ke Youtube oleh warganet sebagai ekspresi kesal dan marah masyarakat atas berbagai “drama” yang dilakukan Setya Novanto di kasus e-KTP. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui konstruksi pesan meme internet Setya Novanto di Youtube berdasakan model analisis tiga dimensi meme. Metode penelitian ini adalah analisis isi dengan mengikuti model analisis meme Loar Shifman, yakni dengan memecah setiap video menjadi tiga dimensi: content (konten), form (bentuk), dan stance (sudut pandang).

Abstract

The importance of sexual-content conversation between parents and children is still debatable. Especially in the eastern and Islamic culture that kind of communication still considered taboo. Parents' lack of awareness regarding their children’s knowledge of sexual and reproductive health urges children to find information from others, like peers and media. This lead to an increase in sexually transmitted infection, teen pregnancy, and abortion among young girls. This research wants to know how Java-Moslem parents communicate with their children about reproduction and sexual health issue. Using a qualitative approach, four families are interviewed to describe their belief and communication pattern regarding these issues. This resulted in parents and children's perception in seeing this issue as an embarrassing topic, so they engage in less self-disclosure. They talk implicitly with both parties had a mutual tendency to avoid open and direct communication. Javanese culture does have an enormous role in restricting and limiting this important issue to be discussed toward constructive and preventive conversation.

Abstract

This research is motivated by Indonesia as a predominantly Muslim country, giving rise to a variety of da'wah organizations such as the Majlis Tafsir Al- Qur'an (MTA). The presence of this community organization gave rise to the model of brotherhood formation through the stages of interpersonal communication. This research is a descriptive qualitative research and uses the population of all members of the Nusukan fostered community from MTA. The sampling used is the snowball sampling model. Data collection uses in-depth interviews, documentation and observation. Data validity uses triangulation of data sources. The results of this study are the stages of forming ukhuwah. First, Ta'aruf, which occurs as the initial stage of effective interpersonal communication, involves the stages of contact and orientation. Second, Tafahum as a means of understanding deeper between members through interpersonal communication involves the stages of involvement. Third, ta'awun as interpersonal communication in fostering mutual care which includes the stages of involvement but tends towards the stages of familiarity. Fourth, takaful in interpersonal communication so as to form a sense of brotherhood covering the stages of intimacy and improvement. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan Indonesia sebagai negara yang mayoritas Islam, sehingga memunculkan berbagai macam organisasi dakwah seperti MTA. Kehadiran Organisasi masyarakat ini memunculkan model pembentukan persaudaraan melalui tahapan-tahapan komunikasi interpersonal. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dan menggunakan Populasi seluruh anggota komunitas Binaan Nusukan dari MTA. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah model snowball sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi dan observasi. Validitas data menggunakan triangulasi sumber data. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah ditemukannya tahapan-tahapan pembentukan ukhuwah. Pertama, ta’aruf yang terjadi sebagai tahap awal komunikasi interpersonal yang efektif itu meliputi tahapan kontak dan orientasi. Kedua, tafahum sebagai sarana dalam memahami lebih dalam antaranggota melalui komunikasi interpersonal meliputi tahapan keterlibatan. Ketiga, ta’awun sebagai komunikasi interpersonal dalam menumbuhkan rasa saling peduli yang meliputi tahapan keterlibatan tetapi cenderung menuju tahapan keakraban. Keempat, takaful dalam komunikasi interpersonal sehingga membentuk rasa persaudaraan meliputi tahapan keakraban dan perbaikan.

Abstract

Perempuan sering menjadi korban kekerasan dalam berpacaran dan cenderung menerima begitu saja kekerasan tersebut. Namun demikian, perempuan yang digambarkan menjadi korban berani bertindak melawan pelaku dalam beberapa video klip musik. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis isi kualitatif dan bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk kekerasan serta perlawanan perempuan terhadap kekerasan dalam berpacaran di video klip musik K-pop. Hasilpenelitian menunjukkan terdapat dua bentuk kekerasan yang diterima perempuan, yaitu kekerasan fisik dan psikis. Selain itu, korban dapat mendobrak stereotip yang menyatakan bahwa perempuan itu lemah. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan dengan sikap perempuan yang berani melawan dengan cara membalas dendam, melukai, hingga membunuh pelaku.

Abstract

Religious communities use the internet as a spiritual network to seek spiritual goals, and they interpret it through narratives shared through online spaces. This emphasizes the need for freedom and spiritual experiences so that they can share with others. So, people often associate their participation in online religion with a level of spirituality and confirmation of religious identity. Online religion seeks to adapt religion to form a network of spiritual interactions. This study discusses the use of the Internet by Majlis Tafsir Al-Qur’an (MTA) on the website www.mta.or.id in communicating ideology to the congregation. This research data collection uses the method of observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the use of digital technology by MTA is to promote ideology. MTA announces content regarding manhaj, terrorism, politics, the spirit of friendship / ukhuwah between members, and cooperation between scholars and the government.
