Abstract

The leadership of the school principal in an effort to improve the quality of education is closely related to the strategy he carries out, so that the principal's strategy is a determinant of whether or not the quality of a school institution is good. The purpose of this study was to determine strategic planning, strategy implementation, and evaluation of school principal strategies in improving the quality of education at MTs Negeri 1 Kotawaringin Timur. The research method is qualitative with a case study approach, collecting data by observation, documentation, and interviews. The results of the research are: (1) Planning for school principals is guided by regulations and refers to the Vision and Mission and goals of the school, conducting an analysis before formulating the program. The strategy set is: a). Teacher Competency Improvement, b). Development and Maintenance of Facilities and Infrastructure, c). Budget Management Efficiency and Effectiveness, d). Discipline and Development of outstanding students, e). Activity Publication. (2) Implementation of the program that has been selected, namely through the process of analysis, communication and coordination with all fields. In implementation, the principal supervises directly the implementation of the program, with the aim of being able to directly address the obstacles found. (3) Evaluation and supervision is carried out directly by supervising the areas of each program. Through a quality assurance agency, the school principal can carry out an evaluation based on the report data for each program implementation. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan dan pengawasan manajemen pendidikan berbasis multiple intelligence learning pada peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus serta mengetahui faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam implementasi manajemen. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif  fenomenologi di SLB Asih Mulya Gurem Pamekasan melalui Teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah Kepala sekolah dan guru pendamping Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus (ABK). Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa: Pertama, manajemen pendidikan berbasis multiple intelligence learning pada peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus di SLB Asih Mulya Gurem Pamekasan meliputi: 1) Perencanaan pembelajaran ABK dilaksanakan sesuai dengan konsep pembelajaran di sekolah luar biasa, yaitu dengan menggunakan RPP dan silabus; 2) pengorganisasian pembelajaran dengan penetapan surat keputusan kepala sekola terkait pembagian tugas mengajar, wali kelas, tim teaching dan pendamping ABK; 3) pelaksanaan pembelajaran ABK dilaksanakan di ruang kelas dengan melaksanakan hal-hal yang telah direncanakan; 4) pengawasan pembelajaran ABK dilaksanakan oleh kepala sekolah dengan melakukan supervisi dan evaluasi pembelajaran setiap bulan. Kedua, faktor pendukungnya yakni penggunaan alat peraga oleh pendidik dalam proses pembelajaran agar anak dapat menegerti dan semangat. Ketiga, faktor penghambatnya yakni antara lain: orang tua yang tidak mau menyekolahkan anaknya yang memiliki kebutuhan khsus, pendidik yang kadang tidak memahami perbedaan karakter dari masing-masing peserta didik, dan peserta didik yang merasa jenuh saat pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the principal’s innovation as a strategy in establihing the religious culture of students at Junior High School Larangan Pamekasan. This research used descriptive qualitative methods. Data was obtained through interviews, observation and documentation. The validity of the data was checked through through extended observations, persistence of observations, and triangulation. The results of this research are: First, the principal’s innovation as a strategy in establishing the religious culture of students at SMPN 1 Larangan Pamekasan is implemented through the development of character education innovation activities, such as Ya Habibi program which contains some activities like Yasin recitation, memorizing Al-Qur’an, and qiroah mentoring. Second, the implementation of the principal’s innovation as a strategy in establishing the religious culture of students at SMPN 1 Larangan Pamekasan was carried out at different times; yasing recitation was done daily, memorizing Al-Qur’an and qiroah mentoring were done weekly. Third, the evaluation within the principal’s innovation as a strategy in establishing the religious culture of SMPN 1 Larangan Pamekasan students was done through regular evaluation meetings as well as accountability reports from the person in charge of Ya Habibi program carried out once a month, as well as follow-up assessments by looking at the potential of student from Ya Habibi program by involving students in school events, as well as various kinds of competitions related to Ya Habibi activities. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan inovasi kepala sekolah sebagai strategi dalam membangun budaya religius siswa SMPN 1 Larangan Pamekasan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui cara wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Pengecekan keabsahan data dilakukan melalui perpanjangan pengamatan, ketekunan pengamatan, dan triangulasi. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu: Pertama, inovasi kepala sekolah sebagai strategi dalam membangun budaya religius siswa SMPN 1 Larangan Pamekasan dilaksanakan melalui kegiatan pengembangan kegiatan inovasi pendidikan karakter, yaitu program Ya Habibi yang memuat tiga kegiatan didalamnya, yaitu pembacaan Yasin, hafalan Al-Qur’an dan bimbingan qiroah. Kedua, implementasi inovasi kepala sekolah sebagai strategi dalam membangun budaya religius siswa SMPN 1 Larangan Pamekasan melalui kegiatan Ya Habibi dilaksanakan dalam waktu yang berbeda, yaitu setiap hari untuk pembacaan yasin, dan satu minggu sekali untuk hafalan Al-Qur’an dan bimbingan qiroah. Ketiga, evaluasi inovasi kepala sekolah sebagai strategi dalam membangun budaya religius siswa SMPN 1 Larangan Pamekasan melalui kegiatan Ya Habibi, melalui rapat evaluasi rutin sekaligus laporan pertanggungjawaban dari penanggungjawab kegiatan Ya Habibi yang dilaksanakan setiap satu bulan satu kali, serta penilaian tindak lanjut dengan melihat potensi siswa anggota program Ya Habibi dengan turut mengikut sertakan siswa pada acara-acara sekolah, serta berbagai macam perlombaan yang memiliki keterkaitan dengan kegiatan Ya Habibi.

Abstract

Currently, there is a general view in the community that pesantren education does not only focus on being an institution for the study of Islamic knowledge, but must also be able to improve the existence of the quality of students through the development of programs outside of religion. One of these efforts is through the implementation of innovative pesantren extracurricular programs. This study aims to investigate implementation of extracurricular program innovations in improving the quality students in pesantren. This research is a literature study conducted with a qualitative approach. The sources and types of data used are secondary data in the form of scientific journals, books, skripsi and theses. There are findings that pesantren, in improving the quality their institutions, can reform through a variety extracurricular activities. Urgency improving quality students as a form of developing interests and talents, maintaining the mentality students in the pesantren and forming the identity students. The sustainability of extracurricular innovations is seen from vertical factors in the form of kyai leadership determining policies in pesantren and horizontal factors with regard to causes that intersect directly with students such as: coach strategies, support from fellow students, parents and collegiate, extracurricular SOP, availability of coaches, and support for facilities and infrastructure. Extracurricular program innovation by paying attention to the relevance of the times and the benefits obtained by students. Existence of extracurricular innovations produces graduates who are able to combine religious knowledge with general knowledge in accordance with the new times and the needs of society.
