Abstract

This study aims to analyze directly and indirectly the service quality and hotel image on consumer satisfaction and customer loyalty. The location of this study is in several star hotels in Medan such as Graha Serela, Santika Premier Dyandra, Polonia, Grand Swiss-Bell, JW Marriot, Garuda Plaza, and Grand Aston City Hall Hotel. Populations in this study are guests who staying at a Starred Hotel in Medan in 2019, while the sample is determined as many as 215 consumers (hotel guests). Data answering techniques used are interviews, questionnaires and documentation studies. The data analysis method used in this study is Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The results of research show directly, the quality of service provided to Consumer Satisfaction, Service Quality affect on Customer Loyalty, Hotel Image against Consumer Satisfaction, Hotel Image affect Customer Loyalty and Consumer Satisfaction against Customer Loyalty. Directly, the service quality and hotel image of customer loyalty through customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the quality of the audit at the public accounting firm in Medan. This research is a basic research. The research was conducted in several public accounting firms (KAP) in Medan City. The population in this study were all independent auditors who worked at the Public Accounting Firm (KAP) in Medan City, which were registered in the IAI Directory of the Public Accountants Compartment in 2018-2019, totaling 168 auditors. Sampling is done using probability techniques that provide equal opportunities for each member of the population to be elected. Because the number of the study population is small, all populations are sampled (census). The data used in this study are primary and secondary data. Primary data used in this study were obtained by distributing questionnaires to internal auditors who work at the Public Accounting Firm (KAP) in Medan City. The results showed that there was a significant effect of accountability on audit quality. There is a significant effect of competence on audit quality. There is a significant effect of independence on audit quality. There is a significant effect of professional ethics on audit quality. And the professional ethics moderation model is able to strengthen the influence of competence on audit quality.

Abstract

Adanya inflasi yang berbarengan dengan pengangguran telah menjadi masalah dalam suatu perekonomian. Inflasi hampir tidak dapat dihindari bagi suatu sistem yang telah melampaui puncak kapasitas produksinya. Meningkatnya inflasi yang terjadi tidak mempengaruhi berkurangnya tingkat pengangguran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh inflasi terhadap tingkat pengangguran di kota Medan.Penulis menggunakan instrumen penelitian kepustakaan, studi dokumentasi, browsing internet, dimana data yang diambil merupakan data skunder dari instansi terkait terutama Badan Pusat Statistik Kota Medan, serta dalam menganalisis data menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linier sederhana.  Hasil pengolahan data didapat inflasi berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap tingkat pengangguran di kota Medan. Kata Kunci : pengangguran, pertumbuhan ekonomi

Abstract

Kemiskinan merupakan salah satu masalah dalam perekonomian yang kompleks dan multidimensional. Oleh karenanya perlu dicari solusi untuk mengatasi atau paling tidak mengurangi tingkat kemiskinan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh tingkat pertumbuhan ekonomi terhadap tingkat kemiskinan di propinsi Sumatera Utara.Penulis menggunakan instrumen penelitian kepustakaan, studi dokumentasi, browsing internet, dimana data yang diambil merupakan data skunder dari instansi terkait terutama Badan Pusat Statistik Sumatera Utara, serta dalam menganalisis data menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil pengolahan data didapat pertumbuhan ekonomi berpengaruh negatif dan  signifikan terhadap tingkat kemiskinan di propinsi Sumatera Utara.

Abstract

Pajak adalah iuran rakyat kepada kas negara berdasarkan Undang-undang (yang dapat dipaksakan) dengan tiada mendapat jasa timbal balik yang langsung dapat ditunjukkan dan yang digunakan untuk membayar pengeluaran umum. Pajak ada yang  langsung diterima oleh masyarakat dan ada yang tidak diterima oleh masyarakat. Jenis-jenis pajak adalah pajak penghasilan (PPH), pajak bumi dan bangunan (PBB), pajak pertambahan nilai (PPN).Sedangkan subsidi merupakan lawan atau kebalikan dari pajak. Oleh karena itu subsidi sering disebut sebagai pajak negatif. subsidi yang diberikan pemerintah kepada masyarakat akan menyebabkan ongkos produksi yang dikeluarkan oleh produsen menjadi lebih rendah dari pada ongkos produksi sebelum adanya atau tanpa adanya subsidi.Yang menjadi indikator pengaruh pajak dan subsidipada keseimbangan pasar yaitu pajak terhadap keseimbangan pasar dan subsidi terhadap keseimbangan pasar. Ternyata pajak sangat berpengaruh terhadap atas penjualan selalu menambah harga barang yang ditawarkan. Sehingga hanya mempengaruhi fungsi penawaran. Sedangkan pada fungsi permintaan tidak mengalami perubahan sama sekali. Sedangkan dengan adanya subsidi yang diberikan pemerintah kepada masyarakat akan menyebabkan ongkos produksi yang dikeluarkan oleh produsen menjadi lebih rendah dari pada ongkos produksi. Menyebabkan daya beli konsumen terhadap produk tersebut meningkat. Kata Kunci: Subsidi, Pajak, dan Keseimbangan pasar

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are business ventures that have a very negative impact due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This impact is caused by a decrease in the level of public consumption. MSMEs must survive by finding solutions to reduce consumer consumption and make consumers' lifestyles more digital. E-commerce is an electronic commerce that includes sales and purchases transactions made online without meeting each other. E-commerce plays an important role in helping MSMEs to survive during the pandemic and continue to carry out their sales activities even though they are hindered by massive social barriers. This research is a qualitative descriptive research that explains phenomena and data and previous research, then draws conclusions from the existing problems. From the discussion, it can be said that the role of e-commerce in helping MSMEs during the pandemic is to increase MSME income, increase MSME sales, and as a marketing strategy and media promotion for MSMEs.

Abstract

Pengangguran merupakan masalah yang harus diselesaikan pemerintah kota Medan dalam era globalisasi ini karena damapak dari pengangguran dapat memicu tingginya tingkat kriminalitas yang tinggi. Semakin berhasil pemerintah mengurangi tingkat pengangguran maka tingkat pertumbuhan ekonomi akan semakin meningkat dan tentu kesempatan kerja akan meningkat dan juga dapat mengurangi tingkat kriminalitas yang tinggi di masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh tingkat pertumbuhan ekonomi terhadap tingkat pengangguran di kota Medan.Penulis menggunakan instrumen penelitian kepustakaan, studi dokumentasi, browsing internet, dimana data yang diambil merupakan data skunder dari instansi terjait berutama Badan Pusat Statistik Kota Medan, serta dalam menganalisis data menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linier sederhana.  Hasil pengolahan data didapat pertumbuhan ekonomi berpengaruh positif tetapi tidak signifikan terhadap tingkat pengangguran di kota Medan. Kata Kunci : pengangguran, pertumbuhan ekonomi

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the Consumer Brand Switching Behavior Model in Purchasing Automotive Products in Medan City. This research is basic research. The population in this study were consumers of car owners in Medan City. The sampling technique is a non-probability sampling technique. The criteria used in the sampling are that the respondents of this study are consumers who own cars, have changed car brands in the last 3 years, and reside in Medan, while the sample is set at 145 people. Data collection techniques used were interviews (Interview) and a list of questions (Questionaire). The data analysis method used in this research is the Structural Equation Model method. The results showed that Brand Image has a positive and significant effect on satisfaction. Brand Image has a negative and significant effect on Brand Switching. Product quality has a positive and significant effect on satisfaction. Product quality has a negative and significant effect on Brand Switching. Satisfaction has a negative and significant effect on Brand Switching. Satisfaction can negatively mediate the effect of Brand Image on Brand Switching and Satisfaction can negatively mediate the effect of Product Quality on Brand Switching.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of social media marketing on brand image and repeat purchases, and to analyze the role of brand image in mediating the effect of social media marketing on repeat purchases in the Fast-Food Restaurant industry in Medan. The respondents are consumers who have made purchases at five fast food restaurants in Medan. 140 people were selected using random sampling. Data collected using questionnaire and interviews, and analyzed using descriptive and path analysis. The results proved that social media marketing was significantly influenced brand image; brand image was significantly influenced repeat purchase; and, social media marketing was significantly influenced repeat purchase. Moreover, social media marketing proved has no significant effect on repeat purchase through brand image as mediator.

Abstract

This study aims to study the factors that influence the Consumptive Behavior of Students and produce a Model of Consumptive Behavior of Students of the Development Economics Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Private University in Medan City. This research is a basic research (basic research). The population in this study were all students of the Development Economics Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Private University in Medan City. Sampling in this study used purposive sampling with the criteria of students of the Development Economics Study Program in semester IV and VI. The determination of the number of samples in this study is based on the Central Limit Theorem which states that the number of samples to achieve the normal curve is at least 30 respondents. The reason for determining the number of samples using the Central Limit Theorem is because the total population in this study is unknown. A total of 150 questionnaires were sent so that respondents who returned the questionnaires were expected to be at least 30 students. Data collection techniques used are interviews (interviews), list of questions (questionaire) and study documentation. The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression. The results showed that there was a significant effect of Lifestyle on Consumption Behavior, there was a significant influence of Financial Literacy on Consumption Behavior. There is a significant effect of Financial Literacy on Consumption Behavior which is moderated by Religiousity and there is no significant effect of the moderating effect of Religion on the relationship between Lifestyle and Consumption Behavior.
