Abstract

Abstract. The objectives of this research were: 1) to describe the response level of mathematics students in Veteran Bangun Nusantara University Sukoharjo based on SOLO taxonomy in solving logic problems; 2) to describe the characteristic of students response at each level of SOLO taxonomy; 3) to study if there is misconception at each level of SOLO taxonomy about students response.This research was a qualitative research. The subject in this research were the students of Mathematics Education, Veteran Bangun Nusantara University on the first semester academic year 2014/2015. The main instruments used in this research to collect the data was the researcher and the other instruments were test instrument and interview guide instrument. Data analysis technique was conducted by data reduction, data presentation and data verification or made conclusion. The conclusions as follows. 1) Students response level based on SOLO taxonomy in solving logic problems comprised prestructural, unistructural, multistructural, relational, and extended abstract, 2) Students response characteristic at each level of SOLO taxonomy as follows. a) Prestructural: the answer completely irrelevant, could not understand the problem given, could not connect the concept and the answer, and the answer was illogical. b) Unistructural: there was a clear and simple relationship between one concept to another but the core of concept widely was not yet understood. c) Multistructural: understood some of the components but still separated from each other so a comprehensive understanding was not formed, some simple connections have been established however metacognitive abilities have not appeared yet at this level. d) Relational: could connect the fact and the theory and also connect the action and the objective, showed understanding ability of some components from the whole concept, understood the role of the parts to the whole and has been able to apply a concept in similar circumstances, have better ability to expressed ideas and made some automatic repetition. e) Extended Abstract: have the ability to think conceptually, to connect not only limited to the concepts that have been given alone but with concepts beyond that, could made generalizations in different problems and made parables in specific situations. 3) Based on the 5 response level of SOLO that happened to students, scheme on each level as shown below. At prestructural and unistructural response levels that were students who have misconceptions. At the multistructural response level, there were students who have a scheme but invalid because the result of the first and second data collection was not the same. The first result were correct scheme but the second result were misconceptions. At the relational response level, there were students who have misconceptions and at the extended abstract response level, there were students who have a correct scheme or in other words did not experience misconceptions.Keywords: SOLO taxonomy, response level, scheme, misconception.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to improve student’s understanding in Geometry with the application of Realistic Mathematic Education (RME). This was classroom action research carried out in 2 cycles. The subject was 21 students of  Mathematics Education Department Universitas Veteran Bangun Nusantara Sukoharjo. Sources of research data obtained from teachers and students. Data collection methods were observation  and tests. The data analysis technique was descriptive analysis.from the data of the test, students who completed the first cycle were 65,79%, in the second cycle the precentage increase became 86,84%. So we can conclude that  the application of  RME can improve student’s understanding in Geometry.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan pendekatan pembelajaran metakognitif dengan media flash swishmax terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental semu.Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Sukoharjo tahun pelajaran 2015/ 2016, sedangkan kelas sampel adalah VIII I dan VIII B. Dari hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa pada kelas dengan pendekatan pembelajaran metakognitif terlihat lebih hidup dibandingkan dengan pendekatan pembelajaran konvensional, karena siswa diharuskan selalu aktif dan berinteraksi dengan teman untuk memecahkan masalah yang diberikan. Selain itu penggunaan media flash swishmax untuk menyampaikan materi membuat siswa terlihat lebih antusias dan tertarik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan metakognitif dengan media flash swishmax memberikan prestasi belajar matematika yang lebih baik daripada pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan minat belajar matematika dengan implementasi model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) pada mata kuliah kalkulus lanjut. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester IV kelas C program studi pendidikan matematika FKIP Universitas Veteran Bangun Nusantara Sukoharjo Tahun Akademik 2015/2016 yang terdiri dari 33 mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi.Teknik analisis data adalah dengan teknik analisis deskriptif. Validasi data dari minat belajar mahasiswa dan proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber. Berdasarkan analisis data pada siklus I dan siklus II terdapat peningkatan minat sebesar 21,05% dan pemahaman sebesar11,11%. Kesimpulannya adalah implementasi model pembelajaran NHT dapat meningkatkan minat belajar dan pemahaman mahasiswa.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang untuk merancang GG-module materi lingkaran. Penelitian ini tergolong dalam penelitian pengembangan, hal ini sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian. Produk yang akan dikembangkan adalah GG-module materi lingkaran. Model pengembangan yang akan digunakan adalah model ADDIE dari Dick and Carry. Rancangan penelitian pengembangan GG-module materi lingkaran ini mengacu pada model ADDIE yang dibatasi sampai 3 tahap yaitu analysis, design, dan development. Data yang diperlukan dalam penelitian ini ada 2 jenis yaitu data kuantitatif (berupa tes digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data prestasi belajar matematika mahasiswa materi lingkaran pada mata kuliah geometri bidang) dan data kualitatif (berupa angket respon mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran). Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah GG-Module telah dinilai validator dengan rerata nilai 3,79 yang artinya modul yang dikembangkan sudah baik, dapat dipakai tetapi dengan sedikit revisi, revisi modul sudah dilakukan dan sudah disetujui oleh validator, dan hasil uji coba produk menunjukkan bahwa GG­-Module efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran geometri analitik bidang untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa.

Abstract

Penelitianinitermasukpenelitiandeskriptif dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuanuntukmengetahui tingkat kecemasan mahasiswa menjelang ujian akhir semesterserta factor-faktor yang mempengaruhitingkatkecemasan.Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester 1 program studi pendidikan matematika Universitas Veteran Bangun Nusantaratahun akademik2016/2017. Sumber data berupa hasil dari angket, observasi, danwawancara.Metode pengumpulan data dengan metode observasi, metodewawancara dan metode angket yaitu dengan angket Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS).Analisis data terdiri dari tiga alur kegiatan yang terjadi secara bersamaan, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/ verifikasi dataBerdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh tingkatkecemasanmahasiswamenjelangujianakhir semester adalahtidakcemas, kecemasanringan, dankecemasansedang. Sedangkanfaktor-faktor yang mempengaruhikecemasanadalahlingkungan, keluarga, jenis kelamin dan umur.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran distribusi peluang variabel random melalui simulasi dengan software R. Dua kelas sampel yang terpilih melalui clustered sample random mempunyai kemampuan pemahaman konsep yang sama berdasarkan analisa data pretest. Analisa data menggunakan statistik uji-t dengan tingkat kesalahan 5%. Instrumen berupa bahasa pemrograman R dan soal pemahaman konsep beserta rubrik penilaiannya dinyatakan sangat valid oleh dua validator dengan rata-rata skor penilaian masing-masing 4,1389 dan 4,0278. Data hasil instrumen tersebut selanjutnya dianalisis dengan uji t pada tingkat kesalahan 5% sebagai uji efektivitas simulasi “R” dan diperoleh keputusan bahwa Ho ditolak. Ini berarti bahwa ada perbedaan rata-rata kemampuan mahasiswa dari kedua kelas sampel dalam memahami konsep distribusi peluang. Dilihat dari rata-rata marginalnya, kelas yang menggunakan simulasi R mempunyai kemampuan pemahaman konsep lebih baik daripada kelas dengan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar dan prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas XI TKJ Tamansiswa Sukoharjo Tahun Ajaran 2019/2020 melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share berbasis Lesson Study (LS). Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Tindakan pembelajaran ada dua siklus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI TKJ SMK Tamansiswa Sukoharjo yang berjumlah 17 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode wawancara, angket, tes, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam hasil tes dan angket menggunakan teknik analisis data deskriptif, yaitu dengan membandingkan nilai antar siklus maupun dengan indikator kinerja. Pada pra tindakan persentase ketuntasan kelas sebesar 29,41% dan rata-rata persentase minat belajar siswa yaitu 67%. Sedangkan pada tahap siklus I persentase ketuntasan kelas meningkat menjadi 62,5% dan rata-rata persentase minat belajar siswa meningkat menjadi 71%. Siklus II persentase ketuntasan kelas meningkat menjadi 75% dan rata-rata persentase minat belajar siswa meningkat menjadi 76% .Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share berbasis Lesson Study (LS) dapat meningkatkan minat belajar dan prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas XI TKJ SMK Tamansiswa Sukoharjo tahun ajaran 2019/2020.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to find out the results of the analysis of student responses to mathematics learning through online media. This is descriptive quanlitative study that focuses on learning evaluation using online media. The population are students of class X TBSM, XI OTKP, and XI AKL SMK PGRI Sukoharjo. The sample are selected using simple random sampling technique. The data collection instrument using an online learning questionnaire and for the data analysis use descriptive statistics. The results show that student learn using online media as very effective (7.90%), most of them rated it as effective (34.2%) and ordinary (28.9%). There are also students who considered online learning as ineffective (21.1%) and very ineffective (7.90%). To make mathematics learning even more effective, teachers or educators are further expected to apply the seven principles given by students, namely (1) Learning through video calls, (2) Providing brief learning materials, (3) Providing videos in delivering material, (4) Minimize sending material in the form of large files to save mobile data, (5) Material selection in the video must be based on language criteria that is easy to understand, (6) Keep providing material before assignments, (7) Reducing assignments
