Abstract

Saat ini sikap peserta didik masih jauh dari tata nilai dan moral. Salah satu upaya pembinaan moral peserta didik di sekolah bisa diwujudkan melalui integrasi pendidikan nilai, contohnya pada materi IPA. Guru IPA belum mampu untuk menggali nilai atau karakter yang terdapat dalam materi pembelajaran IPA. Padahal, materi IPA banyak mengandung nilai-nilai yang bisa menjadi sarana untuk menanamkan nilai atau karakter dalam proses pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, penulis telah melakukan penelitian mengenai pengembangan nilai atau karakter dalam pembelajaran IPA bagi guru-guru IPA SMP MGMP Kab. 50 Kota. Dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini difokuskan pada penggalian dan pengembangan nilai atau karakter pada pembelajaran IPA yang dikembangkan oleh Yudianto (2009). Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan tentang nilai atau karakter yang dapat dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran IPA dan memberikan keterampilan untuk mengembangkan nilai atau karakter dalam pembelajaran IPA. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian deskriptif menggunakan metode survey. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah guru IPA yang tergabung dalam MGMP IPA Kabupaten 50 Kota. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah partisipasi dan respons peserta baik untuk kegiatan ini. Kata kunci: Pengembangan nilai atau karakter, pembelajaran IPA.

Abstract

In the 2013 curriculum the learning process uses 21st century skills, while for the assessment process uses authentic assessment. Based on the observation of class VII SMP Negeri in Lima Kaum Tanah Datar district, the teachers in the school have not fully implemented the Curriculum 2013. This resulted in a gap in the compliance of National Education Standards, especially on process standards and assessment standards.The aim of this research is a describe the understanding of science teachers in implementing the 2013 Curriculum in the class VII especially on standard process and assessment standard. This research was conducted in junior high school in Kecamatan Lima Kaum Tanah Datar. The population in this research is science teacher in class VII consisting of 8 science teachers.The sampling technique used is total sampling. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and document analysis. The data obtained were analyzed using percentage technique and made according to the descriptive sub indicator.The results revealed the understanding of science teachers on the implementation of Curriculum 2013 class VII in SMP Negeri Se-Kecamatan Lima Kaum Tanah Datar. 1. Understanding of science teachers on the implementation of Curriculum 2013 based on process standard that is 80,5% with good criteria. 2. Understanding of science teachers on the implementation of Curriculum 2013 based on the standard assessment is 83.4% with good criteria.

Abstract

This is a development research to produce valid and practice Student Worksheet. This research used 3 steps from 4-D models those are defined, design and development. The subject of this research was 28 students class X from SMA Negeri 1 Padang, validated by 2 lecturers and 2 teachers. The object of this research was based student worksheet that validated by 4 validators. The data in this research are primary data consisting of validity and practicality. The result of validity was 87,30% with criteria valid, practicality by teachers was very practiced with value 85,94% and by the student was practicing with value 83,05%.

Abstract

Teaching and learning activities are the most basic activities in the entire educational process. The success of learning itself depends on the use of the selected learning resources. Based on the results of the observation questionnaire learning sources in the form of textbooks, student worksheets (LKPD), PPT slides and modules are available and used in schools, but additional learning resources are still needed because the learning resources used have not been able to attract interest and increase student learning motivation . Based on this, a product was developed in the form of a booklet on material for class X SMA students that was valid and practical. The average result of the booklet validity value is 86.45% with very valid criteria with a description of 84.25% in the content feasibility aspect, 88.33% in the linguistic aspect, 86.11% in the presentation aspect, and 87.50% in the the graphic aspect. The conclusion of the research that has been done is the development of booklets on bacterial material for class X SMA students fulfills the very valid category and is very suitable for use as a learning resource.

Abstract

Pembelajaran biologi didalamnya memuat ilmu sains, teknologi, teknik dan matematika dari beberapa materi sehingga perlu adanya pendekatan yang akan membantu proses pembelajaran tersebut, maka salah satunya yaitu pendekatan STEM. Pendekatan STEM merupakan pendekatan yang mengintegrasikan empat disiplin ilmu, yaitu sains, teknologi, teknik dan matematika. Tujuan artikel ini untuk menganalisis penerapan pendekatan STEM pada pembelajaran biologi. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka dengan berbagai sumber dari buku, artikel penelitian dari jurnal elektronik dan website akuntabel yang berhubungan dengan pembahasan penelitian dengan hasil yang dituliskan secara deskriptif-analisis. Hasil yang didapatkan dari studi pustaka artikel ini bahwasanya penerapan pendekatan STEM pada pembelajaran biologi dapat dihubungkan dengan berbagai model pembelajaran dan materi yang sesuai sehingga bisa memberikan pengaruh yang positif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, literasi sains siswa, kreativitas siswa, kemampuan berpikir ilmiah tapi tidak berpengaruh untuk meningkatkan literasi teknologi dan kemampuan mengambil keputusan.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a science-biology booklet contextual-based in structure and function of plant tissue for grade VIII students of SMP/MTs which are valid and practical for use in learning. The type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4-D development model (four-D model). This Science-Biology booklet was validated by four validators. The practicality test subjects of this study were 17 people, consisting of 15 students and two teachers of SMP Negeri 30 Padang. The results showed that the validity value of the booklet was 91.04% with very valid criteria and the practicality value of the booklet was 95.38% by the teacher and 98.14% by students with very practical criteria. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the booklet developed is of good quality and achiev the booklet's eligibility standards so that it can increase students' conceptual understanding independently of their respective learning speed that have correlation with their dialy life.

Abstract

This study is based on the problems that exist in SMAN 1 Pariaman, namely: textbooks that are used have not involved students playing an active role in learning, the learning model that is applied is still monotonous, student notebooks are incomplete and textbooks used in schools are not yet available examples -example/images according to the demands of Basic Competence to clarify the material description. Efforts can be made is the application of biological modules with a scientific approach equipped with a glossary in discovery learning models on the competencies of students in Class X of SMAN 1 Pariaman.The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of biological modules with a scientific approach equipped with a glossary in discovery learning models on the competencies of students in Class X of SMAN 1 Pariaman. This study was a quasi-experimental study with a randomized posttest control group design. The study population was tenth-grade students of SMAN 1 Pariaman 2018/2019 academic year consisting of seven classes. The research sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique, the results of which were selected Class X MIPA 2 as the experimental class and Class X MIPA 3 as the control class.The results of data analysis found that the knowledge competency data was normal and not homogeneous, competency data on attitudes, and homogeneous and normal student skills. Hypothesis test results are known that knowledge competencies (7.06>1.67), attitude competence (0.76<1.67), and skill competencies (0.925<1.67), so it can be concluded that the biological module with a scientific approach is equipped The glossary in discovery learning  models has a positive influence on students 'knowledge competencies but does not have a positive influence on the competency of students' attitudes and skills at SMAN 1 Pariaman.

Abstract

Misconception is a wrong concept because it bring contradicts concept with experts concept. Misconception occur because students develop their own understanding based on experience, what they seeing and hearing, to understand a concept. Misconceptions that occur in students, before repairs must be identified first. The purpose of this study was to determine students' misconceptions about photosynthesis in Class VII Sutera junior High School. The sample of this research was 40 students of class VII. This type of research is descriptive. The technique using diagnostic test two-tier multiple choice. Test diagnostic used to identify student errors because it can measure 2 levels of high-level thinking skills, scoring is easy, fast and objective, and the opportunity for students to guess answers less. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the highest misconception was found in organisms that could carry out photosynthesis at 87.5%, organs that played a role in photosynthesis 44.5%, photosynthetic processes 42.5%, experiments with photosynthetic processes 25%, and factors affect photosynthesis 38.125%. Thus it can be concluded, that there is a misconception in Class VII Sutera Junior High School about photosynthetic material with varying percentages.
