Abstract

The birth of postmodernism can not be separated from the notion of modernism. The view of modernism assumes that the truth of science is absolute and objective, meaning that there is no human value. Here is the birth of a new idea of postmodernism which is one of figures are Jean Francouis Lyotard, postmodernism is a continuation and correction of modernism to provide a new thought and solution in his view of science. For postmodernism, science is not objective but subjective and the interpretation of man himself, so the truth is relative. Postmodernism can not be separated by its weakness and whether it is relevant to today’s life, so postmodernism adds to the acquisition of knowledge which can be accepted by its existence.

Abstract

Learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic requires lecturers to be able to adapt by using online learning platforms. As a result, there are different perceptions of students regarding the effectiveness of each of these platforms. The study aimed to analyze differences in students' perceptions about the effectiveness of using WhatsApp, Google Classroom, and Zoom platforms. This research method uses quantitative methods to measure the level of perception and is combined with qualitative methods to analyze student perception. The data collection method is done by distributing questionnaires through Google forms to students. The analysis used is a quantitative analysis using statistical calculation and qualitative analysis to analyze student perception. The results showed that the difference in perception in WhatsApp and Google Classroom usage was significant with an average difference of 16.933 which means WhatsApp’s perception levels are higher than Google Classroom. The difference in perception in WhatsApp and Zoom usage is significant with an average difference of 15.2 which means WhatsApp's perception level is higher than zoom. The difference in perception in Zoom and Google Classroom usage is insignificant with an average difference of 1.733 which means Zoom’s perception rate is slightly higher than Google Classroom. The study concluded that student perceptions were higher on the WhatsApp Group platform, then zoom, and finally Google Classroom. Online learning should first use the WhatsApp platform, then zoom, and finally Google Classroom.

Abstract

This article talked about Nurcholis Madjid’s thoughts about religion pluralism in Indonesian context. This research was a library research where library resource and other literatures became the main data source. This research results showed that there were three thoughts of Nurcholis Madjid about religion pluralism, such as: First, according to him, religion pluralism was a view that acknowledge other religions’ differences and behave maturely towards diversity. Second, religion pluralism idea of Nurcholis Madjid was a religious principal that acknowledge religious freedom, live with the risk that will be held by each of religious person. Third, according to Nurcholish Madjid, religion pluralism in Islam was not based on doctrine assuming that all religions are right, but Islam merely acknowledge each religion to exist with freedom of running each religion so that tolerance in life can be formed in Indonesian.
