Abstract

The research is purposed to generate a  learning trajectory that supports students to understand the concepts of exponential through the context vegetative propagation in animals. The Design Research was chosen as the exact method to achive the objective. Hypotetical learning trajectory in the design research played an important role as the design and research instrument. Hypotetical learning trajectory was designed as the preliminary design and was examined to 50 students from the ninth graders of YPI Tunas Bangsa Junior high school.  (e.g 6 students from pilot experiment and 44 students from teaching experiment). The result of the learning experiment showed that drawing activity of the process of animal vegetative propagation could motivate the students to see the form of the animal multiplication. While seeing the animal multiplication through modeling (scheme, chart, and diagram), the students had an idea to calculate new animals had been formed, and used multiple numeral to determine the sum of the new animals. From the multiple numeral, an idea to state it in terms of repetitive numeral would bring the students into a definition of exponential. Based on the result above, its suggested that context containing multiplication form be used, let the students see multiplication, and the students do it mathematically into the basic concept when they are learning exponential.

Abstract

The development of technology, especially information technology change the way of view, how to work and also implementation in the field of learning. Knowledge of teachers who are still minimal to digital technology, it is feared will affect the learning process. Math learning in the digital age requires a tool to facilitate understanding of mathematical concepts. Along with technological advances, the mathematical media is also growing rapidly. One of them is the GeoGebra computer application program. GeoGebra is a computer program for learning mathematics especially geometry and algebra. GeoGebra is a dynamic program that has facilities to demonstrate or visualize concepts as well as a tool for constructing mathematical concepts.

Abstract

Set theory has a wide role in mathematical concepts. Students have to understand the set theory before learning other concepts such as algebra and probability. This study aims to determine the effect of the problem-based learning (PBL) model on the students’ mathematical representation in set theory topics. The method used in this study is a quasi-experiment design. The populations in this study were 289 students of 7th grade at Secondary School in Palembang. The sample of this study were students of class 7.8 (control group) and 7.10 (experimental group). Data were collected through tests, interviews, and documentation. Based on data analysis, known that PBL affects the students’ mathematical representation. Students who had the PBL model get the better score of mathematical representation. They could use the symbol of set correctly, represent the set into Venn diagram correctly and they also could explain their answer. Furthermore, the implementation of the PBL model is offered.

Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan keyakinan matematis siswa SMP. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMPN 6 Gelumbang Sumatera Selatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen Postest-Only Control Design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 62 siswa. Instrumen yang di gunakan adalah tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan angket keyakinan matematis. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan keyakinan siswa di SMPN 6 Gelumbang Sumatera Selatan.Abstract:This study aims to know whether there is influence of Problem Based Learning (PBL) approach to the ability of solving mathematical problem, mathematical belief of students of SMP. This study did at SMPN 6 Gelumbang, South Sumatera. The method used in this study is the Postest-Only Control Design experiment method. The sample in this study was 62 students. The instrument of this study was the ability of solving mathematical problem test and mathematical belief questionnaire. Data analysis technique used is t test. The result of the study was there is influence of Problem Based Learning (PBL) approach to the ability of solving mathematical problem the belief of students of students SMPN 6 Gelumbang, South Sumatera.

Abstract

Technological developments make changes in life. Students are in a digital environment full of information. Countries change educational goals. Many educational innovations have also been carried out to support this. The hope of educational innovation is the support and integration of information and communication technology (ICT) in the learning process. So that there is an increase in the quality of student learning. Students today must have communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creative and innovative skills. These skills must be included in the learning process in class. To support this, all teacher competencies must be improved, especially professional competences. This research uses literature study. The purpose of this study is to reveal how the professionalism of teachers in the 4.0 revolution era in improving the quality of education.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education at SMPN 1 Betung is carried out through the implementation of an internal quality assurance system. The research objective was to describe the implementation of the internal quality assurance system at SMP Negeri 1 Model in Betung, Banyuasin Regency. The descriptive qualitative research method is the type of field study. The research subjects were the principal, deputy principal, administrative staff, operators, and teachers of SMPN 1 Betung. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are in the form of collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. Data validity checks include credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability tests. The results showed that the implementation of the internal quality assurance system of SMP Negeri 1 Model in Betung, Banyuasin Regency was carried out in accordance with the instructions for the SPMI Dikdasmen Kemendikbud developed by the government through the model school program and pengimbasan. The implementation stage, namely preparation consisting of training, preparation, and socialization. SPMI implementation includes mapping, fulfillment of plans, implementation, monev, and setting new standards, mentoring, monitoring, monitoring and evaluation.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1. determine the effect of principal academic supervision on teacher job satisfaction; 2. knowing the work environment on teacher job satisfaction; 3. to know the effect of principal's academic supervision and work environment on teacher job satisfaction. The research method used is a quantitative method. The results of this study indicate that: 1. There is an influence between the principal's academic supervision on teacher job satisfaction; 2. There is an influence between the work environment on teacher job satisfaction; 3. There is an effect of principal academic supervision and work environment on teacher job satisfaction.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis gaya belajar visual pada materi pecahan kelas IV SD yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian development research dengan subjek penelitian yaitu peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri 91 Palembang yang berjumlah 25 peserta didik. Penelitian ini mengikuti pengembangan model ADDIE dengan lima tahap yaitu Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar validasi ahli, wawancara, angket, dan tes hasil belajar. Dari hasil validasi ahli diperoleh rata-rata hasil penilaian sebesar 3,55% dengan kategori sangat valid. Pada uji kelompok kecil (small group) dan hasil penilaian guru didapatkan hasil rata-rata sebesar 91,87% sehingga dapat dinyatakan sangat praktis. Pada tahap uji lapangan (field test) diukur keefektifan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) sebesar 0,73 dengan kategori tinggi sehingga dapat dinyatakan efektif dalam mendukung kegiatan pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar. Dengan demikian, berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis gaya belajar visual pada materi pecahan kelas IV SD yang dikembangkan sudah tergolong Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Kata Kunci : Pengembangan, Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik, Pecahan, Visual.

Abstract

Implementasi pembelajaran daring menghadirkan konsekuensi logis bagi para guru untuk dapat  mengintegrasikan kemampuan pedagogik (pedagogical knowledge), penguasaan konten/materi (content knowledge) dan penggunaan teknologi (technological knowledge) pada pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan Instrumen kesiapan guru matematika dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran daring dalam perspektif Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK). Peneliatian ini, merupakan penelitian pengembangan (development research). Pengembangan instrumen TPACK pembelajaran daring menggunakan prosedur pengembangan yang terdiri dari beberapa langkah antara lain: 1) perumusan latar belakang (background); 2) konseptualisasi (questionnaire conceptualization); 3) format dan analisis data (Format and Data Analysis); 4) penentuan validitas (Establishing Validity), dan; 5) penentuan reliabilitas (Establishing Reliability). Subjek penelitian adalah guru yang mengajar muatan pelajaran Matematika SD kelas atas (kelas 4,5, dan 6), guru mata pelajaran Matematika SMP sederajat dan SMA sederajat sebanyak 40 orang guru. Berdasarkan hasil validasi konstruk dan Bahasa yang dilakukan oleh expert review menunjukkan bahwa instrumen telah valid dan siap untuk di uji validasi lapangan. Hasil uji validasi lapangan yang dianalisis menggunakan Rasch model diperoleh satu pernyataan pada komponen Technology Knowledge(TK) yang tidak valid, sementara 44 pernyataan laiinya dinyatakan valid.  Hasil  uji reliabilitas menunjukkan bahwa instrumen kuiseoner reliabel. Berdasarkan hasil analisis validitas dan reliabilitas menggunakan Rasch model, hanya 44 pernyataan yang dapat digunakan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 44 pernyataan instrumen yang telah dikembangkan layak digunakan untuk mengukur kesiapan guru matematika pada pembelajaran daring dalam perspektif TPACK.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal tipe Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) pada mata kuliah Kapita Selekta Matematika SMA. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika yang mendapat mata kuliah Kapita Selekta Matematika SMA tahun ajar 2020/2021. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan jumlah mahasiswa sebanyak 26 orang. Data hasil tes dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dengan mendata jumlah mahasiswa yang dapat menjawab soal tipe HOTS (C4, C5, dan C6), kemudian dihitung persentasenya. Data kualitatif diperoleh dengan menganalisis hasil tes mahasiswa yang bersumber pada perspektif HOTS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara keseluruhan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal bertipe HOTS pada mata kuliah Kapita Selekta Matematika SMA mencapai 80,77%, yang masuk pada kategori tinggi dalam mengerjakan soal tipe C4 (menganalisis), artinya mahasiswa mampu menguraikan suatu informasi terhadap suatu materi menjadi komponen-komponen yang lebih jelas. Selanjutnya diperoleh persentase sebesar 75,38% juga termasuk dalam kategori tinggi dalam mengerjakan soal tipe C5 (mengevaluasi), artinya mahasiswa mampu melakukan penilaian atau evaluasi terhadap solusi yang disajikan sesuai standar yang ditentukan oleh mahasiswa sendiri. Terakhir diperoleh persentase sebesar 7,69% dengan kategori sangat kurang dalam mengerjakan soal tipe C6 (mengkreasikan), artinya masih banyak mahasiswa belum mampu mengorganisasikan bagian-bagian menjadi struktur baru dengan tepat. Kata kunci: Kapita Selekta Matematika SMA, Kemampuan Mahasiswa, Soal Tipe HOTSAbstractThis study aims to describe the student's ability to solve the Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) problem in the High School Mathematics Capita Selecta subject. The subjects of this study were students of the Mathematics Education Study Program who received the subject for the 2020/2021 academic year. This research is a descriptive study with 26 students. Test results were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. Quantitative data were obtained by recording the number of students who could answer HOTS-type questions (C4, C5, and C6), then the percentage was calculated. Qualitative data were obtained by analyzing student test results from the HOTS perspective. The results showed that the overall, the students' ability to solve HOTS-type questions in the Kapita Selekta Mathematics course for SMA reached 80.77%, which was included in the high category in working on type C4 questions (analyzing), meaning that students were able to decipher information on a material into clearer components. Furthermore, the percentage of 75.38% is also included in the high category in working on type C5 questions (evaluating), meaning that students are able to make an assessment or evaluation of the solutions presented according to the standards set by the students themselves. Finally, a percentage of 7.69% was obtained with a very poor category in working on type C6 questions (creating), meaning that there are still many students who have not been able to properly organize the parts into a new structure.Keywords:Capita Selecta Mathematics for High School, HOTS-Type Problem, student ability
