Abstract

This research was conducted in Karya Baru Village from May until June 2017. This research was aimed to know the marketing channel of patchouli oil from Karya Baru Village, North Poleang Sub-district of Bombana Regency, to know the efficiency of marketing channel of patchouli oil from Karya Baru Village, Poleang Utara Sub-district Bombana Regency, and to know the marketing system of patchouli oil from Karya Baru Village, Poleang Utara Sub-district Bombana Regency. Data were collected through observation, interviews using questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis was used in this research is descriptive analysis and farmer's share analysis. The results of this research showed that there was a marketing channel of patchouli oil from Karya Baru Village, North Poleang Sub-district of Bombana Regency, namely Farmer  Small Trader  Large Trader  Consumer (Industry). Patchouli oil price at the end of a consumer was Rp450.000/kg, while marketing margin on existing marketing channel was Rp30.000/kg or 8,57 percent at small trader level and at large trader level was Rp100.000/kg or 22,22 percent. By analyzing the price factor and marketing margin, farmer's share value was 71,11 percent, which means that the marketing channel of patchouli oil located in Karya Baru Village, North Poleang Sub-district of Bombana Regency has been efficient. Patchouli oil marketing system starts from farmer level, where farmers did several times patchouli oil distillation process with yield 10-13 kg each distillation. Furthermore, farmers conduct several transactions (based on the amount of patchouli distillation process) to small traders. After the volume of patchouli oil on small traders was large enough that was 500 kg - 1,000 kg, patchouli oil distributed to a large trader in Kolaka Regency. Finally, the volume of patchouli oil in large quantities on Large Trader in Kolaka District including patchouli oil originating from Karya Baru Village of North Poleang Sub-district of Bombana Regency distributed to the Industry in Surabaya.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that affect the conversion of clove plantation land in Tolong Village, Lede District, Taliabu Island, North Maluku Province. The population of this study is all farmers who convert clove plantation (23 people) in Tolong Village, Lede District, Taliabu Regency, North Maluku Province. Sampling using purposive method (purposely) and samples were taken amounted to 23 people. The analytical method used is quantitative analysis with multiple linear regression analysis models. The results of this study indicate that the factors affecting the conversion of clove plantation in Tolong Village, Lede District, Taliabu Island, North Maluku Province, is the total price of clove trees sold, the production revenue and cost of.

Abstract

Livestock in Kusambi is one of the agriculture sub-sectors that have the largest production output among other sub-sectors. The present study aims to analyze the commodity which is base and non-base in Kusambi, West Muna and factors causing a commodity which is base and non-base in Kusambi, West Muna. The data of this study were typically secondary data. Data were analyzed by using Location Quotient, Dynamic Location Quotient, and descriptive analysis. The result showed that: (1) Livestock commodities that became the base in Kusambi were cattle, goat, chicken, and duck while the horse, buffalo, and domestic poultry were non-base commodities. (2) Livestock commodities that would be the present and the future bases were goat and chicken, non-base commodities in the present and in the future were a horse, buffalo, and domestic poultry, base commodities in the present but did not become base in the future were cattle, domestic poultry, and duck. (3) Factors causing livestock commodities being base and non-base was supported by internal and external factors. Internal factors as a base and non-base commodities were generally caused by high rate production, having experience in raising, large area, and stock. While external factors supporting commodities became base and non-base such as supply, a livestock facility, and infrastructure, climate, the selling price of the livestock, and government policy.

Abstract

The study aims to assess the amount of Copra income, the total income of Farmers and compare the total income with the provincial minimum (UMP) in Southeast Sulawesi, the contribution of the copra business to the farmers based on the pattern of farming in an effort. The problem faced by farmers in processing coconut into copra. This research is executed on the month of November 2016 – May 2017. Sample research conducted by random sampling with population amounted about 143 peoples in this research sampling amounted to 36 respondent data analysis using qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results showed that the average income of copra business respondent was Rp 580.385 of the month. Revenue in the village of Munse Indah is higher than the minimum wage of Southeast Sulawesi Province of Rp 2.002.065. The contribution of the copra business to the total income of the farmers based on the pattern of farming in the effort, the pattern of farming (coconut, cashew, cloves, rice fields and nutmeg) gave the highest contribution of 49,05% with the medium criteria than on the pattern of farming (coconut, cashew, cloves, rice fields and nutmeg) gave the lowest contribution about 22,68% with the lowest criteria. The problems faced by farmers in processing coconut into copra there are three things, namely lack of climber, lack op owned capital and access road damaged in the rainy season.

Abstract

Plant nursery business is one of the businesses that have the ability to produce high profits, in the cultivation of plant seeds consisting of coconut, patchouli, nutmeg, cashew, teak, Jabon, biti, and mahogany. The availability of raw materials, consumer demand, and seed prices is a major factor in the sustainability of the nursery business. The purpose of this study was to determine the cost efficiency and profitability of plant nursery businesses in the CV. Perapi Kambu District Kendari City. The research location was determined purposively with the consideration that the plant nursery company was one of the largest producers of seedlings in Kendari City. The analytical method used in this research is a descriptive and analytical method. The analysis used is R-C ratio analysis and Return On Investment (ROI). The results showed that the use of production costs in one production in a plant nursery was classified as efficient, as indicated by the ratio of R-C 1.96 (R-C ratio> 1) and based on Return On Investment analysis with a value of 69% indicating that the nursery business was profitable.
