Abstract

The ethnoscience approach encourages teachers and educational practitioners to teach science based on culture, local wisdom and problems that exist in society, so that students can understand and apply the science they learn in the classroom to solve problems they encounter in everyday life. day. Learning based on local wisdom and culture will awaken an attitude of love for national culture, because ethnoscience learning can introduce the potential of the local area. Tri Kon's Integrated Ethnoscience Approach in Improving the Critical Thinking Ability of Elementary School Students, that is, students are able to get to know the surrounding environment and its culture more closely, because cultivating regional culture is the duty and responsibility of all citizens, the introduction of local wisdom and culture is integrated in science learning for students as a whole. indirectly instilling artistic values, historical values, a sense of empathy for the surrounding environment, as well as mutual respect for local culture. The knowledge, attitudes and skills obtained can become valuable experience and become provisions for developing oneself, the environment and the country in accordance with the noble values ​​of national culture, and can form students' strong personality traits.

Abstract

The material for making stamp crafts from natural materials in the subjects of Art, Culture and Crafts (SBdP) in grade IV of SDN Nglindur Girisubo has never been actualized in class. SBdP learning materials in Class IV have so far only been limited to drawing and singing activities, not touching on the aspects of craft / craft learning with the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model that utilizes the availability of natural materials found in the surrounding environment as a medium for developing student creativity in the classroom. This causes a lack of student focus during the learning process, so that what is conveyed by the teacher is not so optimal and the lack of student creativity in making crafts or utilizing natural materials to make a work. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research. The subjects of the study were all grade IV students of SDN Nglindur Girisubo for the 2023/2024 academic year. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that by applying the project based learning (PjBL) method in SBdP subjects, stamp craft materials from natural materials can increase the creativity of grade 4 students of SD Nglindur Girisubo.
