Abstract

Scaffolding is assistance provided so students can solve problems or understand concepts that can not be solved independently. When students are considered capable of completing their tasks independently, the assistance is eliminated. In this study, scaffolding was carried out by giving problems about graph theory. Problems given are closed and open contextual problems. The selection of this problem can be seen by students' understanding of graph theory. The results of this study, this problem-based scaffolding can help students who experience difficulties in the problem of graph theory. Students are enthusiastic because through this problem, they can explore and connect blood donation problems and regional tourism with the concept of graph.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terhadap kesulitan yang dihadapi oleh guru matematika dan siswa di tingkat SMP, pemahaman yang rendah dari siswa tentang operasi hitung bentuk aljabar dikarenakan siswa tidak mampu menghubungkan antara apa yang mereka pelajari dengan pengetahuan tersebut dimanfaatkan dalam kehidupan nyata. Penggunaan perangkat pembelajaran yang berdasarkan masalah kontekstual akan sangat membantu siswa. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan adalah Research  and Developmepment dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Pengembangan ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui kevalidan (yang dihasilkan dari hasil validasi) dan keefektifan (yang dihasilkan dari hasil angket dan nilai siswa). Dari hasil penelitian dapat dikatakan valid karena diperoleh hasil validasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli desain pembelajaran yaitu 87,05%, dan efektif karena angket siswa sebesar 85,93%, dan nilai tes evaluasi dari 8 siswa telah mencapai nilai KKM yang ditentukan oleh sekolah yaitu 70.

Abstract

AbstrakPemahaman matematika sangat diperlukan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Siswa dituntut untuk memahami konsep matematika agar dapat menyelesaikan masalah matematika dengan benar. Namun, pemahaman konsep yang dimiliki antar siswa berbeda-beda. Perbedaan ini muncul disebabkan adanya kesalahan siswa dalam memahami konsep matematika. Selain itu, kesalahan siswa terjadi karena adanya skema yang belum dimunculkan dalam menyelesaikan soal  matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesalahan siswa terhadap pemahaman konsep operasi hitung pada pecahan. Penelitian termasuk jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa yaitu berupa kesalahan pemahaman konsep operasi hitung pecahan. Oleh karena itu peran guru dalam memfasilitasi siswa dalam memahami konsep matematika mutlak diperlukan.Kata Kunci: analisis kesalahan, operasi hitung, pecahan.

Abstract

In modern times, the concept of technology-based Scaffolding in learning has developed. In this study an educational game called "Telolet" was designed with the aim of providing Scaffolding to students who experienced difficulties in integers. The problems in this study consist of closed problems, opened problems  and some problems are related to integers. The purpose of this study is to provide students with a whole understanding in integers so that they can educate students with the right concepts. The results of this study, Scaffolding based on the game "Telolet" can help students who have difficulty in integer problems. Students excited to solve problems in this game because they felt challenged.

Abstract

Learning tools are one important aspect to determine the success of a learning design. Student worksheet is one of the learning tools. The purpose of this study is as follows. 1) to find out how to develop a mathematics learning worksheet in the form of comics based on guided discovery on linear program material, 2) to find out the validity and practicality of a mathematics learning worksheet in the form of comics based on guided discovery on linear program material. In this research the method used is the development method. So the research explained that what was developed was a comic-based worksheet based on guided findings on linear program metrics. The subjects in this study were students of class XI Vocational School Wisnuwardhana Malang. Based on the LKS development research results that have been obtained that the validity results assessed by three validator experts are 1) material expert validator, 2) media expert validator, and 3) linguist validator reaches a percentage of 72.20%. In this criterion, the worksheets that were developed were good (valid) and the results of practicality were obtained from the student questionnaire responses and obtained an average value of 3.3 which in this criterion was declared good (practical). From the development of LKS in the form of comics based on guided discoveries on linear program material, it was concluded that the development of LKS is valid and practical so that it is suitable to be used in mathematics learning.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan praktik scaffolding yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa pada perkuliahan SBM Matematika. Scaffolding merupakan bantuan secara bertahap dari guru yang diberikan kepada siswa untuk membantu mengatasi suatu tugas sehingga siswa dapat memahami dan menyelesaikannya sendiri. Bantuan tersebut dapat berupa petunjuk, dorongan, peringatan, memberikan contoh, dan tindakan-tindakan lain yang memungkinkan siswa untuk melibatkan kesadaran berpikirnya terhadap proses dan hasil dari suatu permasalahan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika pada semester gasal 2015/2016. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti mendeskripsikan praktik scaffolding yang dilaksanakan oleh mahasiswa pendidikan matematika  dalam perkuliahan SBM Matematika. Pembelajaran didesain dengan role play. Abstract

Abstrak: Siswa yang berada di masa kanak kanak mempunyai berbagai potensi yang ada dalam dirinya berkembang dengan pesat. Masa-masa pada rentang usia taman kanak-kanak merupakan golden age. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi kepada orang tua dan anak autis mengenai aktivitas motoric skill yang dapat dilakukan pada pembelajaran. Pengabdian ini menggunakan metode sosialisasi dan praktik langsung pada saat pembelajaran. Tahap pelaksanaan pengabdian ini terdiri dari 3 kegiatan, yaitu persiapan pra kegiatan, pelaksanaan kegiatan dan monitoring evaluasi. Pada persiapan pra kegiatan adalah memberikan edukasi kepada guru mengenai aktivitas motoric skill  yang dilakukan saat pembelajaran dan merancang aktivitas yang akan dilakukan. Pada tahap pelaksanaan adalah melaksanakan aktivitas yang telah didesain pada tahap pra kegiatan yang melibatkan anak autis. Pada tahap monitoring evaluasi adalah melakukan monitoring dan pengamatan mendalam terhadap hasil pekerjaan siswa. Anak autis yang terlibat dalam pengabdian ini sebanyak 3 orang yang didampingi dengan guru pendidikan khusus. Mitra pengabdian ini adalah sekolah luar biasa untuk anak autis. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan dengan mengevaluasi hasil aktivitas motoric skill yang dilakukan anak autis. Hasil yang dicapai dalam pengabdian ini adalah terintegrasinya aktivitas motoric skill dalam pembelajaran yang dapat menciptakan suatu pembelajaran yang menyenangkan.  Untuk selanjutnya, guru harus melakukan pendekatan secara intensif untuk dapat membimbing anak autis sehingga mereka dapat melakukan aktivitas kehidupannya seperti anak normal pada umumnya.Abstract:  Students who are in childhood have various potentials that are in them developing rapidly. The period in the kindergarten age range is the golden age. This service activity aims to provide education to parents and children with autism about motor skill activities that can be done in learning. This service uses the method of socialization and direct practice at the time of learning. The implementation stage of this service consists of 3 activities, namely pre-activity preparation, activity implementation and evaluation monitoring. In pre-activity preparation, it is to provide education to teachers about motor skill activities carried out during learning and to design activities to be carried out. At the implementation stage is to carry out activities that have been designed at the pre-activity stage involving children with autism. At the evaluation monitoring stage, monitoring and in-depth observation of the results of student work. There are 3 autistic children involved in this service, accompanied by special education teachers. This community service partner is an extraordinary school for autistic children. Evaluation of activities is carried out by evaluating the results of motor skill activities carried out by autistic children. The results achieved in this service are the integration of motor skill activities in learning which can create a fun learning. Henceforth, teachers must take an intensive approach to be able to guide autistic children so that they can carry out their life activities like normal children in general.

Abstract

This research was conducted to answer the questions that have been formulated, namely to find out the activities of students thinking creatively conducted class VII SMP PGRI 08 Malang in solving problems in the topic of probability The purpose of this research is to find out the creative thinking done by students. One method that will be used by researchers to find out students' creative thinking in solving math problems is by giving tests. This researcher aims to describe the student's job description or specific circumstances. Data collection was done by the method of test and interview. The researchers found that students were able to work on problems in three components: fluency, flexibility, and novelty. This research is describing the activities of students thinking creatively of junior high school students in solving mathematical problems. The research subjects consisted of SMP PGRI 08 Malang, which was one of the students who could think creatively, which was an instrument, a matter of tests capable of mathematics by working on a topic of  probability.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gesture yang muncul pada mahasiswa ketika merepresentasikan diagonal sisi dan diagonal ruang pada kubus. Kubus merupakan salah satu representasi objek spasial. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester empat prodi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Wisnuwar­dhana Malang. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan tiga macam gesture yang muncul saat mahasiswa melakukan representasi diagonal sisi dan diagonal ruang pada kubus yaitu full body gesture, a part of body gesture dan pairs body gesture. Full body gesture adalah gesture yang ditunjukkan dengan adanya gerakan seluruh tubuh yang ditandai dengan adanya perpindahan posisi. A part of body gesture adalah gesture yang ditunjukkan dengan adanya gerakan pada salah satu anggota tubuh. Pairs body gesture adalah gesture yang ditandai adanya gerakan anggota tubuh yang terjadi bersamaan.Kata kunci: gesture, representasi, diagonal sisi, diagonal ruang, kubus
