This study is to explore the IMC activity conducted by Mommilk Manahan Solo in attracting consumen interest. The research was conducted in Mommilk restaurant, Surakarta city. The quantitative descriptive methodology arranged to support the study while the measurement scale used Likert scale. The sample of this study was Mommilk costumers. The questioners were distributed to gauge the IMC activity, which can be devided into three specific factors; promotion and direct sell, public relation, and advertisement. In the outline of factors are the variables that influence the customers in selecting Mommilk as a preference. The result shows that the IMC activity is positively influence costumers to choose Mommilk as a preference. This study finds that several actions taken by the restaurant management successfully influenced the customers to choose Mommilk instead of others restaurants. Those actions become refence for the management to develop the service in order to attract the costumers.?

Model komunikasi yang diterapkan di instansi pemerintah daerah menarik untuk diteliti dari kajian public relations. Model komunikasi yang tampak dilakukan satu arah diyakini oleh banyak kalangan akan bergeser ke komunikasi dua arah seiring dengan maraknya perkembangan media sosial. Penelitian di bidang ini tentu sangat relevan mengingat humas secara ideal memiliki peran signifikan dalam mengelola komunikasi di instansi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di pemerintah daerah Sukoharjo. Penelitian dilakukan dengan yang teknik kualitatif dengan analisis data menggunakan grounded theory. Dari analisis yang dilakukan, dapat dijelaskan bahwa humas pemda Sukoharjo menganut model komunikasi satu arah, dimana model ini bertumpu pada diseminasi informasi kepada publik. Ini menjelaskan nilai utama yang melekat dalam komunikasi di humas pemda. Nilai utama termasuk pola komunikasi, tipe informasi dan media yang digunakan. Komunikasi satu arah terbentuk karena pengaruh SDM yang ada dan peraturan yang berlaku di instansi tersebut.

BPPTKG Yogyakarta bertugas memberikan informasi mengenai aktivitas Merapi.Keterbukaan informasi menjadi aspek dalam keberhasilan mitigasi bencana erupsi Merapi.Penelitian ini menggunakan contigency theory dan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Peneliti melihatproduksi informasi BPPTKG berfokus di media center. Media center memiliki tiga divisi, yaituclearing house, content production, dan buzzer. Tugas mereka adalah mengonstruksi informasiuntuk masyarakat agar informasi yang disebarkan mudah dipahami. Hasil penelitian ini jugamelihat bahwa BPPTKG telah menjadi institusi kebencanaan yang memiliki keterbukaan informasi.Namun demikian, hal tersebut kurang didukung dengan adanya kebijakan internal mengenaiketerbukaan informasi terkait produksi konten media sosial.

Mediation by the government in the Royal Palace of Surakarta’s internal conflict was considered reasonable and appropriate policy by the media. The approach to the conflict did not emphasize a strong cultural aspect of that culture-based organization. This research aimed to examine how online news media reported on the Royal Palace of Surakarta’s internal conflict. Furthermore, this research used framing analysis as proposed by Stephen D Reese to analyze the news published in February 2014. The outcome indicated that there was framing construction of the government policies. The content of the news presented that framing processes occurred. Those started from the transmission of the various debated about government policy, then reinforced through elections sentence that supported certain policy and continued to the naturalization process. The final process was an important strategy to make mediation as an accepted policy that should be done by the government. In the conclusion, the perception to be formed was that government policies were appropriate, and so everyone should hold it. The conflict resolution could be achieved through the mediation as already conducted.

Yayasan Bina Asih Surakarta yang memiliki siswa-siswa berkebutuhan khusus, yaitu tuna rungu, tuna wicara, tuna grahita, autis, dan anak-anak yang memiliki IQ di bawah standar. Pelatihan ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan guru dalam menerapkan keterampilan komunikasi antar pribadi kepada siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, diskusi, serta praktek mengajar menggambar dan mewarnai. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan ada peningkatan keterampilan guru dalam menerapkan komunikasi interpersonal sebagai proses penyampaian materi ajar di kelas. Kedekatan personal guru membuat siswa lebih fokus dalam menyelesaikan tugas. Kegiatan ini juga membuat guru mampu mengidentifikasi kemampuan menggambar dan mewarnai siswa.

Self-presentation is a specific action of self-disclosure presenting a positive impression to others. Self-presentation is rapidly growing by the presence of various social media, esppecially Instagram. Instagram as one of social media with a various features and large user, bring major affect to teenager’s presentation of self in the media. This is inseparatable part of teenager process in searching their indentity. This research conducted in SMA Negeri Mojogedang by taking sample of 264 students. The data were collected by using questionnaire. It is a descriptive quantitative reaserch which uses factor data analysis. The findings of the research show that self – presentation of teenagers using Instagram media occurs in two phases, the first phase is self-concept creation, students of SMA Negeri Mojogedang try to create their thoughts and feelings in certain ways that refer to themselves as the object. These teenagers want to show their personality to the public. The second phase is self-esteem creation, this phase contains emotional feeling and self – evaluation towards the first concept they have created. Self-concept that has been created by students of state Senior High School Mojogedang in Instagram can improve their self-presentation that will build their self-esteem. In the reality, it is a fundamental that a teenager wants their presence to be recognized and to be known by public. They try to present themselves widely and passionately by showing a positive image of themselves.Presentasi diri merupakan bentuk pengungkapan diri yang spesifik untuk menunjukkan kesan positif dihadapan orang lain. Presentasi diri berkembang pesat dengan kehadiran berbagai media sosial terutama media Instagram. Instagram sebagai salah satu media sosial memberikan ruang yang cukup luas, sehingga dapat mempengaruhi perilaku presentasi diri remaja untuk menunjukkan diri mereka dihadapan khalayak luas. Hal ini tidak terlepas dari masa pencarian jati diri remaja. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri Mojogedang dengan mengambil sampel 264 siswa. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik kuesioner. Penelitian ini memiliki tipe deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan analisis data faktor analisis.Temuan data menunjukkan jika perilaku presentasi diri remaja di media Instagram terjadi dalam dua fase, fase pertama yaitu pembentukan konsep diri, siswa SMA Negeri Mojogedang berusaha membangun totalitas pemikiran dan perasaan mereka yang mengacu pada diri sendiri sebagai objek dimana pelaku ingin memperlihatkan kepribadian mereka dihadapan khalayak luas. dan fase kedua yaitu membentuk harga diri, pada fase ini merupakan bentuk emosionnal dan evaluasi diri siswa pada konsep yang telah mereka buat. Konsep diri yang telah dibangun oleh siswa SMA Negeri Mojogedang di dalam media Instagram dapat meningkatkan perilaku presentasi diri mereka yang akan membentuk harga diri remaja tersebut. Karena pada dasarnya seorang remaja ingin diakui keberadaan mereka dihadapan khalayak luas, kemudian mereka berusaha menampilkan diri mereka secara luas dan mendalam dengan menunjukkan citra positif dalam diri mereka.

Abstract Along with the pandemic, there is now a lot of news emerging about Covid-19 circulating on Instagram social media. The news is not immediately able to make someone wonder about the occurrence of a pandemic crisis. This type of research is quantitative explanative. The population of this research is students of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta who use social media Instagram with a sample of 97 respondents obtained from the slovin formula with purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques in the study were carried out through a survey with a questionnaire instrument. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression data analysis between the independent variable Instagram as the Covid-19 news media and the dependent variable is the level of student confidence. The results of this study explain that Instagram as a media for reporting on Covid-19 has a significant effect on the level of student trust. The influence of Instagram as media coverage of Covid-19 on the level of student confidence is 38.6% with a significance of 0.000. Keywords : Media, Covid-19 News, Instagram, Addiction Theory, Trust
