Abstract

Pluralisme dan multikulturalisme telah menjadi keniscayaan didunia yang mengglobal, apakah dalam tingkatan komunitas internasional, nasional maupun lokal. Intoleransi terhadap kenyataan multikultural hanya akan membawa masyarakat majemuk mengembangkan prasangka dan kebencian. Hal ini semakin mengeskalasi ketegangan dan konflik kekerasan yang telah terjadi akibat dipicu oleh ketidakseimbangan dan ketidakadilan di dalam dan antar masyarakat. Penulis berargumentasi bahwa tingginya intoleransi terhadap pluralisme dan multikulturalisme dewasa ini berakar pada dua problem. Pertama, kegagalan sistem pendidikan yang lebih menekankan keseragaman daripada keragaman budaya. Kedua, hegernoni agama formal dengan fokusnya pada klaim pembenahan diri daripada penghormatan mutual dan dialog. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, penulis merekomendasikan dekonstruksi paradigma lama dari sistem pendidikan dan pengajaran agama, kemudian merekonstruksi paradigma baru yang lebih toleran dan lebih apresiatif terhadap pluralisme dan multikulturalisme

Abstract

     Kekerasan, menjadi fenomena yang selalu mengiringi dinamika kehidupan manusia. Namun eskalasi tindak kekerasan yang belakangan semakin marak memunculkan keprihatinan yang sangat dalam. Salah satu fenomena yang memprihatinkan adalah tradisi tawuran antara pelajar yang tidak jarang menimbulkan jatuhnya korban yang notabenya adalah anak-anak kita, generasi muda bangsa ini. Berbagai macam analisi sudah sering diberikan, namun sayangnya, ada ketidak seimbangan analisis karena sebagian besar melihat masalah dan kemudian menimpakan kesalahan pada pelajar itu sendiri. Padahal, perilaku pelajar, sebagian dari masyarakat akan sangat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor. Oleh karena itu, tulisan ini bermaksud melihat masalah ini dan mencoba memberikan alternatif solusi dengan lebih komprehensif, mempertimbangkan berbagai faktor yang mempengaruhi pembentukan perilaku agresif pada pelajar.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengukur perbedaan empati anak sebelum dan setelah melakukan permainan tradisional gobag sodor, sundaname dan boy-boyan. Ketiga permainan ini melibatkan 40 anak yang diilih melalui teknik purposive sampling dengan kriteria: 1). murid Taman Baca Masyarakat Panggon Sinau, dan 2). berusia 10-12 tahun. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif eksperimen dengan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukan nilai t = -4.020 (t≠0), yang berarti terdapat perbedaan rerata skor dimana rerata skor pre test (21,80) lebih kecil dari rerata skor post test (23,48). Nilai signifikansi (p) = 0,000 (p<0,05). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan empati anak sebelum dan sesudah melakukan permainan tradisional. Dengan demikian tujuan dari program pengabdian masyarakat ini tercapai, yaitu meningkatkan empati anak melalui permainan tradisional.

Abstract

The improvement of sex information sources through various channels has lately increased the knowledge on sex among the youth. This fact has nowbecome the basis of various sex practices which is particularly due to the status of youths which is sensitive towards every external influences. Young people are in a transitional position from childhood to adolescence. The field of reproductive health among the youth is one which is directly influenced by the process of the change. The extramarital sexual intercourse which has lately been increasingly popular has now become a serious problem. As a consequence, unwanted pregnancies have been an important phenomenon in the life of the youth. The paper describes the above tendency, and discusses the psychological and socioeconomic consequences caused by unwanted pregnancy among the youth

Abstract

Pancasila values ??must be inculcated in students comprehensively, not only at the cognitive level, but also in affective domain, which impact into behavioral domain and actions. To carry out this role, students must be able to understand, appreciate and also practice the values ??of Pancasila in everyday life. However, the values ??of Pancasila as a noble culture have begun to fade among students or the millennial generation, due to intrusion of alternative values ??and culture that are not in line with Pancasila, especially in the era of globalization. This activity focuses on goals to increase understanding, appreciation, and practice of the values ??of Pancasila in real life. The form of the activity is training for trainers for students. The methods used include: the presentation of the basic values ??of Pancasila, the elaboration of the Pancasila’s concept into behavior, and reflective guidance on actualizing the values ??of Pancasila in everyday life. Through this activity, students are expected to gain additional knowledge, increase understanding and motivation to put Pancasila values ??into practice. Furthermore, students are also expected to be able to carry out self-evaluation and strive to become agents of change in spreading Pancasila values ??to their peer groups and the general public. Abstract

There is a gap between ideal Islam and real Islam. Ideal Islam means peace, greeting, safety, salvation, and conceptually means absolute submission to God`s Will. Real Islam resembles unresolved conflicts in some communities and unpleasant meanings to some non-Muslims. To minimize the gap, it is important to socialize peaceful Islamic values in the community through education. This study aims to explain Pendidikan Perdamaian Berbasis Islam (PPBI, the Islam-based Peace Education) program initiated by Pusat Studi Budaya dan Perubahan Sosial (PSB-PS, the Center for the Study of Culture and Social Change) at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS). This participatory action research is especially to reveal Islamic values identified in the PPBI program in terms of its uniqueness, implementation, reflection, and implication. Based on the Sirah of the Prophet and the Al-Qur’an, the PPBI program has identified 15 Islamic values which contribute to peacebuilding. Those values were used as core contents of PPBI’s handbook and classroom program. The program has been implemented through series of activities ranging from seminars, FGDs, workshops, training of teachers, publication of books, and classroom implementation. PPBI program based on nonviolence and peacebuilding assumptions, i.e. to build a culture of peace, is designed as the formal peace education through learning materials and classroom processes either in any existing course or co-curricular activities.

Abstract

Keberhasilan mahasiswa tidak hanya dibentuk melalui pembelajaran perkuliahan (kurikuler) namun akan lebih maksimal melalui proses pembelajaran ekstra-kurikuler yang dibentuk oleh Sistem Kredit Karakter Mahasiswa (SKKM). Regulasi telah dirancang dalam buku pedoman Sistem Kredit Karakter Mahasiswa yang dilahirkan dari konsensus bersama antara pimpinan universitas, pimpinan fakultas, dan pimpinan program studi. Penelitian ini mengkaji kompleksitas implementasi kebijakan kredit poin sebagai layanan publik dalam perspektif psikologi sosial/politik, dimulai dari skala mikro yaitu percontohan di fakultas dan program studi sebelum diterapkan dalam skala makro yaitu universitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif dengan informan penelitian pimpinan rektorat, pimpinan fakultas, dan pimpinan program studi baik yang sudah menerapkan ataupun yang belum menerapkan kebijakan kredit poin SKKM. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa karakteristik kepribadian, identitas sosial, nilai-nilai, keyakinan, dan kelekatan terhadap kelompok dapat memengaruhi perilaku politik dalam pengambilan kebijakan. Penetapan kebijakan mempunyai peran strategis dalam hierarki kontrol bagi pengembangan karakter mahasiswa yang dinilai dari keseimbangan kemampuan soft skills dan hard skills yang terlegitimasi dalam sistem kebijakan yang terlembagakan di civitas akademika Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta.Kata Kunci:hard skills; kebijakan perguruan tinggi; pengambilan keputusan birokrasi; soft skills; sistem kredit karakter mahasiswaStudent’s achievement is not only formed by classroom learning (curricular) but also by extracurricular learning as managed by Student Character Credit System (SKKM). This regulation was generated in Student Character Credit System (SKKM) guide book which based on the concensus among the chiefs of the university, faculty and department. This current study analyzes the complexity of the implementation credit point policy as a public service in the social or political psychology perspective, begins from the micro scale such as the faculty policy and department before it’s applied on the macro scale (university level). This qualitative study implicates rector board and chief of faculty as well as chief of departments as its informants about the implemention SKKM. The result shows that the characteristic of personality, social identity, values, believe and attachment towards community are able to influence a political behavior in determining the policy. It has a strategic role in the hierarchy of control for the student’s character development assessed from the soft and hard skills and legitimated in the institutionalized policy in the academic community of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta.Keyword:bureaucracy decision making; hard skills; higher education policy; soft skills; Students Character Credit System

Abstract

Abstract. Quarter-life crisis in youngsters in their 20s triggered by concerns over uncertainties of future life, notably regarding job prospects, romantic relationships linked with marriage plan, and social life. The purpose of this study is to understand the psychosocial dynamics of the quarter-life crisis and to comprehend the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the quarter-life crisis among early adults in various regions in Indonesia. The research uses a phenomenological method of qualitative approach. Research participants were selected using the purposive sampling technique, composed of 6 people who experienced a quarter-life crisis. The age range of the participants was 20 to 29 years. Semi-structured interviews through Whatsapp media were used to collect the data. The data were analyzed with Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). The results showed that work-related demands, marriage plans, and family-related issues are the root causes of quarter-life crises marked by disturbing negative thoughts and feelings. Pandemic Covid-19 has also intensified the anxieties felt by some participants as the economic situation and job prospects got even bleaker. This study implies that to prevent a quarter-life crisis among youth, families are expected to be more supportive by providing support and trust for young adults to make decisions and be responsible for their choices for the future.Keywords: content validity, confirmatory factor analysis, interreligious harmony.
