Abstract

Flat development is a response for citizen dwelling needs, especially for the citizen who have a lower economic, problem of lands high cost, and limited lands. Based for the problem, The Indonesian government has made a policy to built rental flats or belonging flats as a solution. On the flat development, one of criteria should applied is facade of a flat which can reduce heat thermal into buildings. This study is a second part which made a recommendation of flat mass to get comfortable thermal value by natural energy. While, this second study for identify a design recommendation of flat facade to get comfortable thermal value by natural energy. This method of study uses some literatures related on arranger a facade on the flats. The correlate variable is about materials and ventilation. Ventilation is about wide, position, and model of ventilation on the building. Besides that, explore the facade and analyze based for land efficiency, occupant’s behavior, building aesthetics, wind flow optimizing, sunlight optimizing and heat insulation into building. Result of this study is get a saving energy flat model on warm-humid climate. Focus on optimize the facade of the buildings to get comfortable value for the occupants.Keywords: flat facade, energy saving, warm-humid climate

Abstract

The enthusiasm as the user of the room in the building can work well and comfortably, if in the building get enough lighting in accordance with the function of the room. Lighting in buildings comes from natural lighting, the source of which is sunlight and artificial lighting from light bulbs. The use of natural lighting in buildings, in addition to not having too much heat in the room, can also reduce the cost of using electricity. There are a lot of lecture rooms at Untag Surabaya campus, if in each lecture room can use natural lighting in the building, it will certainly be able to reduce the operational costs quite a lot. In this study, studio B's lecture room was selected in Untag Surabaya Architecture, to be simulated using Ecotect 5.5 software to obtain optimal natural lighting in the building. The building variables used as modifiers are window proportion, window position, color change, change in ceiling height, as well as the difference in the base of the building. The final results of this study are expected to get optimal classroom recommendations for learning by using natural lighting, so as to reduce the cost of using electricity.  Keywords : natural lighting, studio class room, saving electricity energy K

Abstract

Dewasa ini desain rumah tinggal di Surabaya cenderung mempunyai ukuran relatif kecil, dengan pola tatanan berderet dan berhimpit dengan bangunan tetangga, mempunyai jumlah lantai lebih dari satu. Kondisi ini mengakibatkan semakin sulit mendapatkan kenyamanan visual (pencahayaan alami) di dalam bangunan, terutama untuk ruangan di bawah lantai. Selain itu, dengan semakin banyak memasukkan pencahayaan alami dari atap dan dinding muka bangunan, maka radiasi matahari juga ikut masuk ke dalam bangunan. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan alternatif desain yang dapat menambah luasan selubung bangunan, namun tidak langsung berhadapan dengan radiasi matahari, salah satunya dengan menggunakan lantai panggung. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah mempelajari kinerja pencahayaan pada  desain rumah panggung dibandingkan dengan rumah tidak panggung, yang lantai dasarnya menempel di atas permukaan tanah. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan komparasi, dengan membandingkan pola distribusi perolehan daylight factor pada rumah tinggal tidak panggung (RTP) dibandingkan dengan rumah panggung (RP). Software yang digunakan dalam simulasi adalah Ecotect Analysis 2011, dengan menggunakan data iklim dari stasiun pengukuran iklim Gedangan, Surabaya. Hasil dari simulasi menunjukkan bahwa pada pola distribusi daylight foctor pada rumah panggung lebih merata dibandingkan dengan rumah tidak panggung, baik secara horizontal pada lantai, maupun secara vertikal pada dinding bangunan. Selain itu juga tidak terjadi kontras pada pencahayaan di dalam ruang, sehingga ruangan tetap nyaman.

Abstract

Pembangunan rumah susun merupakan upaya pemerintah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tempat tinggal yang murah. Namun, dalam proses perencanaan rumah susun tersebut kurang mempertimbangkan kondisi alam sekitarnya, sehingga bangunan menjadi tidak nyaman. Salah satu cara adalah dengan pendekatan iklim setempat, yaitu dengan mempertimbangkan potensi dan kendala iklimnya. Unsur bangunan yang dipelajari adalah bentuk fasade bangunan yang dapat mereduksi panas matahari ke dalam bangunan, sehingga penghematan biaya pada masa operasional bangunan dapat ditekan dan kenyamanan penghuni dapat terpenuhi. Penelitian ini merupakan lanjutan dari penelitian pertama yang menghasilkan rekomendasi bentuk rumah susun untuk mendapatkan kenyamanan termal dengan energi alam. Sedangkan penelitian tahun kedua ini mempelajari desain fasade bangunan rumah susun, agar didapatkan kenyamanan termal dengan mengoptimalkan energi alam yang ada. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan kajian literatur terkait dengan pengolahan fasade bangunan pada rumah susun. Variabel penelitiannya adalah ventilasi, meliputi luasan, posisi dan model ventilasi bangunan. Selanjutnya eksplorasi fasade rumah susun dianalisa berdasarkan efisiensi lahan, perilaku penghuni, estetika bangunan, optimasi aliran angin, optimasi cahaya matahari dan isolasi panas ke dalam bangunan. Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini diharapkan mendapatkan prototipe rumah susun hemat energi di daerah tropis lembab, dengan penekanan pada optimasi fasade bangunan, untuk memperoleh  kenyamanan dengan energi yang efisien. Abstract

Thermal comfort is a condition where occupants can feel comfortable doing activities in the building. One of the ways to get comfort is done by passive design, in which the building is designed to adapt weather change outside the building. Because the weather outside is always changing, the planned building design must be responsive to these weather changes. This study uses a responsive roof ventilation model, that the movement of the roof vent covering grille, which serves as an attempt to regulate the exit of wind from the inlet. This study method begins with a literature review on the thermal comfort of residential building in the humid tropics,  as a study of the application of passive design principles as building adaptation to weather changes. Furthermore, an analysis of the ventilation area is made based on the need for thermal comfort in the building. Finally, the planning of building performance systems automatically using the Arduino temperature and humidity sensors. The result is the concept of a framework as applying automation to responsive roof ventilation. This preliminary study is still basic and it is hoped that can be continued in research with the application and experimentation of the roofs in small building

Abstract

Salted Egg needs for to be consumed or for event in Sidoarjo is growing upfaster. Unfortunetely, the producer of salted egg couldn’t serve at all. In thiscase by “Sifah” a salted eggs producer partner. The obstacled is longerproduction time to produce an egg. Based for result of the survey, the mostlonger time out is on washing process between 8 hours per day with 3 – 5servant. Depend on our partner deals, the inefficiently could be solve by an ideaof washing egg machine. This machine is a solution of cleaning process from dirtthings on the egg. Beside that, it can reduced amount of labour. Manual work ofthe machine can cleaning 12 eggs in the one time and need just 2 minutes for tocomplete it with load power of dynamo is 125 watt. Cleaning process will makesthe egg wet and brushes the egg in time and speed managed condition by oneoperator controller. Result of appropriate technology can cleaning 1400 eggs on4 hours by one operator controller. With the result, it can complete the everyconsumer orders.Keywords : machine, washes, egg, efficient

Abstract

Ponorogo Station is a non-active station located in Ponorogo Regency, East Java, Indonesia. In the Ponorogo Regency Regional Regulation No. 1 of 2012 concerning the 2012-2032 Ponorogo Regency Regional Spatial Plan, the Ponorogo Regency Government is trying to revitalize Ponorogo Station. In revitalizing it is necessary to have an approach chosen to be implemented. Therefore, a comparison of the surface rehabilitation and deep rehabilitation approaches was carried out at the Ponorogo Station by looking at the issues and problems in the existing conditions. Since it was no longer active, Ponorogo Station has experienced a decrease in vitality, changes in function and damage due to 'self' and 'new creations' which make Ponorogo Station no longer intense. So, the right steps to respond to problems and optimize revitalization at the Ponorogo Station can be with a deep rehabilitation approach.

Abstract

Rivers cannot be separated from human life, and higher population growth has caused land conversion in river-protected areas to become densely populated settlements. This conditions not only the environment but also the community itself. Therefore it is essential to study and compare the objects of riverside settlements in Indonesia so that they can become a pilot for the arrangement of riverside settlements in the future. The method used is a descriptive qualitative comparison by comparing three riverside settlement objects in Indonesia: Kampung Juminahan Yogyakarta, Kampung Code Yogyakarta, and Kampung Tongkol North Jakarta with a riverfront architecture approach. The results found that of all the objects studied, Kampung Code Yogyakarta met almost all indicators in the riverside architectural approach, including environmental, recreational, and educational functions, regardless of its advantages and disadvantages.

Abstract

The application of stilt floors in row houses can increase the flow of wind under the pit. This study uses the literature review method to map research on the performance of stilt floors, study energy efficiency in row houses, and study the research gap that connects stilt floors, row houses, and energy efficiency. Materials for research are papers from the last ten years. To analyze research gaps using VOSViewer software, while analyzing research variables that have been used by researchers using Atlas.ti software. The results of the study indicate that more measurable research on building performance is still needed regarding the application of stilt floors to help energy efficiency. Energy efficiency in row houses is difficult to obtain due to limited land and the arrangement of row houses.
