Abstract

The learning model has an important role in the implementation of learning activities that will be carried out by educators. Learning models can help educators in achieving predetermined learning goals. This study aims to analyze the application of the Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) learning model in improving mathematics learning outcomes of elementary school students. This type of research is qualitative research using meta-analysis methods. This research begins by formulating research problems, searching for relevant data or journals available in electronic media (Google Scholar) for data analysis. Data collection techniques are obtained from searching journals that are relevant to the research to be analyzed which are available in electronic media (Google Scholar). Data from search results obtained 10 relevant journals. Based on the analysis of learning models Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) can improve student learning outcomes with a total percentage reaching 82.77%. Internal factors (physical and spiritual) and external factors (family, school, and community) can also affect learning outcomes obtained by elementary school students. Based on this research, the application of the Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) learning model for elementary school students can be a suggestion to be applied and developed in elementary schools so that it can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Humans are social creatures who need to develop themselves in facing life in society. To understand something, a person's way of thinking is influenced by knowledge, the ability to see, and the ability to create a strategy in thinking. One of them is in the education. Based on observations, it is shown that the learning carried out by the teacher when teaching is less varied so that it seems monotonous and the questions asked by the teacher are not in-depth only in the cognitive domains of C1 and C2. Lack of direct application (practice) when learning and the work made by students is less innovative. Through the zoom application, students can also do online learning. This study aims to determine the relationship between students' critical and creative thinking through the Zoom application and science learning outcomes. The type of research used in this research is quantitative correlational type. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 8 Surabaya. From the research that has been carried out, the results obtained are: (1) There is a relationship between critical thinking through the Zoom application and science learning outcomes, because the value of Sig. < 0.05 (0.008 < 0.05); (2) There is a relationship between creative thinking through the Zoom application and science learning outcomes, because the value of Sig. < 0.05 (0.006 < 0.05); (3) There is a relationship between critical and creative thinking through the Zoom application with science learning outcomes because of the value of Sig. < 0.05 (0.009 < 0.05)

Abstract

Keberhasilan dalam proses pembelajaran tidak lepas dari peran serta guru, sehingga kompetensi guru sangat diperlukan. Pelatihan Media Edmodo sebagai Pembelajaran Literasi Digital ini dilakukan untuk untuk mengenalkan media Edmodo dan menambah keterampilan guru SDN Geluran III dalam proses pembelajaran. Tahap yang dilakukan pada pelatihan ini ada 3 yaitu: (1) pemaparan materi, (2) praktek dan simulasi (3) evaluasi. Pelatihan ini dilakukan di laboratorium komputer SDN Geluran III dan diikuti sebnayak 21 guru. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 86% guru tertarik dengan media Edmodo dan menunjukkan alasan dengan respon positif. Sebanyak 81% guru menyatakan mudah dalam menggunakan media Edmodo dan Sebagian besar guru setuju untuk menerapkan media Edmodo di sekolah. Keterbatasan penyediaan internet dan jaringan internet yang tidak stabil masih menjadi kendala utama bagi guru dalam menerapkan proses pembelajaran daring.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic is the first health crisis in the entire world, especially attacking the immunity of everyone so that it becomes a scourge for every community whose activities are mostly carried out at home due to the pandemic. This COVID-19 outbreak has hit 215 countries in the world and has given its own challenges for educational institutions, both from elementary schools, high schools and in Universities. The cause of the COVID-19 outbreak, making all activities starting from school, work had to be temporarily closed to break the chain of COVID-19 distribution. COVID-19 is a virus that attacks human respiration (Ministry of Health, 2020). The purpose of this study was to obtain information related to the COVID-19 pandemic on the effect of student learning at SD Muhammadiyah 17 Surabaya. There are doing online learning that are currently being don such as improving student memory, providing broad insight into their experiences through text, video and audio. Not only that, parents are more often monitoring their children being left behind.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain information related to the impact of online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic on student guardians, homeroom teachers, and grade II students at SD Muhammadiyah 17 Surabaya. This research is a type of survey research using a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used interviews, with the research instruments in the form of WhatsApp and Google Form. The WhatsApp instrument is used to conduct interviews via chat with the homeroom teacher. Meanwhile, the Google Form link instrument was sent to the guardians of students and students through the help of the homeroom teacher to find out how each of them responded to online learning in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. The results showed that in online learning, parents are required to provide assistance to their children whenever there is online learning activity. As for Mrs. Fitri, the homeroom teacher, online learning makes her have to be ready with the assignments given to her students in order to continue to have activities in carrying out online learning activities even from home. Meanwhile, in online learning as it is today, students are required to be active in doing assignments given by their homeroom teacher.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of science learning videos in limited face-to-face learning at SD Muhammadiyah 9 Surabaya. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research with the research subjects being all students of class VI, totaling 24 students, guardians of class VI, and the principal of SD Muhammadiyah 9 Surabaya. Data collection techniques used were student questionnaire sheets, teacher interview sheets, and school principals. This study uses analytical techniques consisting of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data based on the results of research conducted there are 93% of students stated that they enjoyed participating in limited face-to-face learning compared to online, 95% felt motivated, 95% said the learning atmosphere was more enjoyable, 90% said the material was easier to understand and 95% said study time was more effective. According to the homeroom teacher for grade VI, through the use of this science learning video, the teacher felt that the learning time could be used more effectively, even though there were several obstacles faced by the teacher. Likewise, according to the principal, the use of video media is in accordance with the character of the digital generation of students. Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that learning using science learning videos is very suitable for use in limited face-to-face learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of the concept of freedom of learning in the Griyo Maos Community of Gunung Anyar Surabaya (GM) with the hope of being able to become a solution to become a freedom of learning alternative and become a means of character strengthening for the children assisted by Griyo Maos Gunung Anyar Surabaya during distance learning. This research method is qualitative with research subjects are the founders and children assisted by Griyo Maos Gunung Anyar Surabaya. This study used analytical techniques consisting of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data based on the results of research conducted there are 80% of children who actively participate in activities at GM, 100% felt more creative, 70% said activities at GM affect their enthusiasm for learning, 80% felt they have a leadership spirit, 100% of GM fostered children claimed to be more confident , and 80% felt a positive impact and a heightened sense of responsibility. From the questionnaires and interviews, the results were in the form of strengthening the character of GM fostered children after participating in many activities that they conceptualized themselves at GM.

Abstract

Banyak siswa yang merasa takut dan malu untuk menjawab pertanyaan yang diberikan oleh pendidik pada mata pelajaran IPA dan siswa juga jarang atau hampir tidak pernah berusaha untuk mengungkapkan pendapat mereka. Hal ini terjadi karena metode pembelajaran yang digunakan biasanya adalah metode ceramah dan terkadang hal tersebut kurang sesuai dengan materi yang diajarkan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran cooperative learning type talking stick terhadap hasil belajar IPA pada siswa kelas IV. Rancangan penelitian ini jenis eksperimen dengan type one group pretest – posttest design. populasi adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV sebanyak 30 siswa yang terdiri dari 15 orang siswa laki-laki dan 15 orang siswa perempuan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah dasar Taman Sidoarjo. Sampel pada penelitian ini diambil dengan teknik sampling jenuh sebanyak 30 responden. data dikumpulkan dengan instrument kuesioner dan dianalisa dengan uji one sampel t test. Hasil uji one sampel T test menunjukkan bahwa nilai ρ = 0,00 dari hasil pre dan post test berarti nilai ρ < α, dengan α = 0,05 maka hal ini menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa dalam mengerjakan soal IPA sebelum dan setelah dilakukan metode talking stick. Berdasarkan nilai rata-rata kelompok menunjukkan data nilai rata-rata pada saat pre test sebesar 56,8, dan nilai rata-rata kelompok post test sebesar 71. Model pembelajaran cooperative dikembangkan untuk mencapai hasil belajar berupa prestasi akademik, toleransi, menerima keragaman, dan pengembangan keterampilan sosial. Lebih lanjut tujuan pokok pembelajaran kooperatif adalah untuk dapat memaksimalkan belajar siswa agar peningkatan prestasi akademik dan pemahaman tercapai dengan, baik secara individu maupun secara kelompok. Many students are afraid and embarrassed to answer questions provided by educators on science subjects and students also rarely or hardly ever attempt to express their opinions. This happens because the learning method used is usually a lecture method and sometimes it is less in accordance with the material being taught. The purpose of research to determine the influence of cooperative learning method type talking stick to the results of science learning in grade IV students. The design of this study type experiment with type one group pretest - posttest design. the population is all students of class IV of 30 students consisting of 15 male students and 15 female students. This research was conducted at Taman Sidoarjo elementary school. The sample in this research is taken with saturated sampling technique as many as 30 respondents. data were collected by questionnaire instrument and analyzed by one sample t test. Abstract

ABSTRAK Pendidikan IPA erat kaitannya dengan pembelajaran melalui benda konkret danmelalui pengalaman yang nyata. Berdasarkan observasi yang telah dilakukan di kelas kelas VAl-Kholiq SD Muhammadiyah 8 Surabayamenunjukkan bahwahasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran kompetensi dasar IPA dibawah kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dengan menggunakan teknik PQ4R. Penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan di kelas V Al-Kholiq SD Muhammadiyah 5 Surabaya. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 15 siswa laki-laki dan 10 siswa perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan tes. Siswa dikatakan tuntas apabila hasil belajarnya di atas KKM ≥75 dan prosentase ketuntasan belajar siswa di kelas tersebut ≥80. Pelaksanaan penelitian terdiri atas siklus I dan Siklus II dengan rentang waktu 7hari. Hasil penelitiansiklus Imenunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kelas mendapatkan nilai 75,4 dengan prosentase ketuntasan belajar siswa72%. Hal ini belum dapat dikatakan tuntas, sehingga dilakukan pembelajaran lagi di siklus II.Pada siklus IIhasil rata-rata kelas mendapat 81,8 dan hasil ketuntasan belajar siswaadalah 80%.Secara klasikal pembelajaran dikatakan tuntas.Pembelajaran menggunakan metode PQ4R dapat meningkatkan hasil belajarIPAsiswa kelas V Al-Kholiq. ABSTRACT Science education is closely related to learning through concrete objects and through real experience. Based on observations made in class V of Al-Kholiq Muhammadiyah 8 Surabaya Elementary School showed that student learning outcomes in basic science competency learning under the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). This study aims to improve learning outcomes using the PQ4R technique. This study used Classroom Action Research (CAR) carried out in class V Al-Kholiq Muhammadiyah 5 Elementary School Surabaya. The research subjects were 15 male students and 10 female students. Techniques for collecting data with tests. Students are said to be complete if their learning outcomes are above KKM ≥75 and the percentage of students' mastery learning in that class is ≥80. The implementation of the study consisted ofcycle I and Cycle II with a span of 7 days. The results of the first cycle study showed that the class average got a value of 75.4 with a percentage of 72% student learning completeness. This cannot be said to be complete, so learning is carried out againin cycle II. In the second cycle the results of the class average got 81.8 and the results of student learning completeness were 80%. Classical learning is said to be complete. Learning using the PQ4R method can improve the science learning outcomes of class V students of Al-Kholiq.

Abstract

This research is a research and development that aims to produce a valid and effective MEB (Monopoly Education Book) media in fostering a nationalist sense of the Indonesian nation in learning mathematics. The research subjects were fourth grade students of SDN Wonokromo 1 Surabaya. The development of this media in its stages is limited to the mass production stage. Where the validity has been validated against three validators. The results of the research from the three validation results that have been given can be average and it is concluded that the MEB (Monopoly Education Book) media that has been developed gets a score of 86% where the score is included in the "Very Good" criteria. And the MEB (Monopoly Education Book) media is effective as evidenced by the completeness of the classical learning outcomes of students reaching 76%. Thus the learning media MEB (Monopoly Education Book) can be said to be valid and effective.
