Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand the process of guidance on writing scientific articles through synchronous and asynchronous models for students as the outcome of field studies on children with special needs. The research was conducted through a pre-experimental design with one-shot case studies. One hundred fourteen elementary school teacher candidates at a state campus in Purwakarta Regency were involved in this study by filling out a questionnaire. Data dianalisis melalui analisis data survei. Guidance with a synchronous model utilizes the Zoom application, while asynchronous uses tutorials via YouTube and Google Classroom. Synchronous guidance allows students to have virtual discussions and receive direct explanations from lecturers, while asynchronous guidance makes it easier for students to review topics that have not been understood flexibly, cost-effectively, and comfortably. Guidance on writing scientific articles through synchronous and asynchronous models is considered effective in increasing the ability and confidence of elementary school teachers candidates in writing scientific articles. Combining synchronous and asynchronous models can create varied scientific article writing guidance and minimize the shortcomings of both. Experts are advised to explore various methods and digital platforms to provide guidance and access various sources to learn good scientific writing.Bimbingan menulis ilmiah untuk mahasiswa pendidikan guru sekolah dasar melalui sinkron dan asinkronTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi proses bimbingan menulis artikel ilmiah melalui model synchronous dan asynchronous bagi siswa sebagai hasil studi lapangan pada anak berkebutuhan khusus. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui desain pra-eksperimen dengan one-shot case studies. 114 calon guru SD di kampus negeri di Kabupaten Purwakarta dilibatkan dalam penelitian ini dengan mengisi kuesioner. Bimbingan dengan model sinkron menggunakan aplikasi Zoom, sedangkan model asinkron menggunakan tutorial melalui YouTube yang dikembangkan oleh peneliti sendiri dan Google Classroom. Pembinaan penulisan artikel ilmiah melalui model synchronous dan asynchronous dinilai efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan dan kepercayaan diri calon guru SD dalam menulis artikel ilmiah sebagai titik awal bagi mahassiwa guru sekolah dasar untuk memahami serta membuat karya ilmiah yang baik dan benar karena 88,9% responden menganggap penyampaian materi secara sinkron dan asinkron mudah dipahami. Selain itu para mahasiswa dapat memahami materi lebih detail dan tidak tertinggal atas poin-poin penting yang harus dipelajari dalam menulis karya ilmiah sesuai dengan kesulitan yang dihadapi oleh mahasiswa pendidikan guru sekolah dasar. Maka penulis merekomendasikan agar para dosen dan ahli untuk menggabungkan model sinkron dan asinkron dalam praktek perkuliahannya dengan membuat panduan penulisan artikel ilmiah yang bervariasi dan meminimalkan kekurangan keduanya melalui mengeksplorasi berbagai metode dan platform digital untuk memberikan panduan dan mengakses berbagai sumber untuk mempelajari penulisan ilmiah yang baik.

Abstract

ABSTRAKDisiplin dan tanggung jawab merupakan nilai-nilai karakter yang cukup menjadi sorotan saat ini. Misi  penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab siswa dengan menerapkan pendekatan saintifik di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena melihat banyaknya kasus atau fenomena siswa yang menunjukan perilaku kurang disiplin dan tanggung jawab baik bagi dirinya maupun di hadapan orang lain. Penelitian ini akan mengupas tentang pembentukan karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab siswa melalui pendekatan saintifik. Metode kuasi eksperimen, merupakan metode dengan menggunakan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol untuk melihat pengaruh Pendekatan Saintifik terhadap karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab siswa. Hasil penelitian ini dilihat dari presentase rata-rata kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan, yang mulanya 60,08% menjadi 76,18% pada karakter disiplin dan 60,07 mengalami peningkatan menjadi 82,86% dengan kriteria hampir seluruhnya siswa memiliki sikap disiplin dan tanggung jawab. Sedangkan pada kelas kontrol peningkatan rata-rata keseluruhan skala awal dan skala akhir sikap disiplin dan tanggung jawab di kelas kontrol menunjukkan 46,27% meningkat menjadi 51,84% pada karakter disiplin dan 44,85% mengalami peningkatan dengan presentase 62,69%, berdasarkan hasil presentase tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan saintifik dapat mengembangkan karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab siswa serta lebih baik dibandingkan pendekatan konvensional.Kata Kunci : Pendekatan Saintifik, Disiplin. Tanggung JawabABSTRACTDiscipline and responsibility are the values of character that are sufficiently highlighted today. The mission of this research is to develop the character of discipline and responsibility of students by applying scientific approach in elementary school. This study was conducted because it saw the number of cases or phenomenon of students who showed less discipline behavior and responsibility for both themselves and in the presence of others. This research will explore the formation of the character of discipline and student responsibility through a scientific approach. The quasi-experiment method is a method by using experimental class and control class to see the influence of the Scientific Approach to the character of discipline and student responsibility. The results of this study seen from the average percentage of experimental class increased, 60.08% in the beginning to 76.18% in the character discipline and 60.07 increased to 82.86% with the criteria almost all students have the attitude of discipline and responsibility. While in the control class The average increase of the overall initial scale and the final scale of discipline and responsibility attitude in the control class showed 46.27% increase to 51.84% on the character of discipline and 44.85% increased by 62.69% percentage, based on the results of the percentage showed that the scientific approach can develop the character of discipline and student responsibility and better than the conventional approach.Keywords: Scientific Approach, Discipline. Abstract

Abstract. The low self-efficacy (SE) and student learning outcomes (LO) are the backgrounds of this study. This research is to see the relationship between SE and LO students through the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach. The research method used is quasi-experimental, with nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design in mathematics learning of 119 elementary students in Purwakarta, Subang, Karawang, and Bekasi. The instrument uses a description test and attitude scale. The results of the analysis show that there is no relationship between the achievement and increase of students' SE and LO with the value of R on the achievement and increase of SE and LO respectively 0.044 and 0.053 and significance> 0.05.Keywords: Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach, Self-Efficacy (SE), Learning Outcomes (LO)

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan karena masih rendahnya hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peningkatan Hasil Belajar (HB) siswa menggunakan pendekatan Concrete Pictorial Abstract (CPA) ditinjau secara keseluruhan maupun berdasarkan Kemampuan Awal Matematis (KAM). Metode penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain  nonequivalent pretest postest control group pada mata pelajaran matematika pokok bahasan volume bangun ruang Kubus dan Balok terhadap 119 siswa Sekolah Dasar di Purwasukasih. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes dan non tes. Abstract

Verbal-Linguistic Intelligence and Kinesthetic-Body Intelligence are important for students to have at an early age. The purpose of this study is to see improvement in Verbal-Linguistic and Kinesthetic-Body Intelligence through Instagram-assisted Scientific Approaches. The study used a pre-experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design on the thematic learning of my hobby topic. Determination of the sample by purposive sampling technique. Participants consisted of 15 male students and 12 female students in first-grade elementary school in Purwakarta Regency. Measurement through observation and documentation to observe and record the activities of students' verbal-linguistic and kinesthetic intelligence. Research shows an increase in Verbal-Linguistic and Kinesthetic-Body Intelligence is in the medium category with n-gain values of 0.59 and 0.56, and an increase in Verbal-Linguistic and Kinesthetic-Body Intelligence after learning with a more scientific-assisted Instagram approach significantly better than before being treated with sig. 0,000<0.05. The use of Instagram shows students enthusiastic about expressing their hobbies. Learning development should be able to accommodate a variety of student intelligence and utilize social media that serves to facilitate learning and assessment more interesting

Abstract

ABSTRAKKecerdasan menggambarkan kemampuan individu menyelesaikan tugas untuk mencapai tujuan. Perkembangan jaman turut mengembangkan temuan baru diantaranya kecerdasan jamak yang dicetuskan Howard Gardner terdiri sembilan kecerdasan. Dalam kajian literatur ini akan membahas pengembangan kecerdasan visual-spasial dan kecerdasan verbal-lnguistik siswa dengan mind map berbantuan youtube untuk menunjang alternatif pembelajaran masa depan setelah munculnya COVID-19. Mind map dianggap cocok untuk mengembangkan kecerdasan visual spasial dan kecerdasan verbal-linguistik karena pembelajaran mind map berhubungan dengan gambar, warna, kata-kata yang sesuai dengan indikator kecerdasan visual-spasial dan kecerdasan verbal-linguistik, media youtube membantu siswa mengembangkan topik yang dibahas serta menunjang kecerdasan dalam pembelajaran jarak jauh ditengah pandemi COVID-19. Dengan demikian penelitian ini sebagai solusi gambaran pembelajaran jarak jauh untuk pengembangan kecerdasan jamak ditengah pandemi COVID-1.ABSTRACTIntelligence describes the ability of individuals to complete tasks to achieve goals. Development of the times helped develop discoveries including multiple intelligences that Howard Gardner coined consisted of nine intelligences. This literature review will discuss the development of visual-spatial intelligence and the verbal-linguistic intelligence of students with a YouTube-assisted mind map to support future learning alternatives after the advent of COVID-19. The mind map is considered suitable for developing spatial-visual intelligence and verbal-linguistic intelligence because mind map learning is related to images, colors, words that are following indicators of visual-spatial intelligence and verbal-linguistic intelligence, YouTube media helps students develop topics discussed and support intelligence in distance learning amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, this study as a solution to the description of distance learning for the development of multiple intelligences amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The benefits of mathematical self-efficacy as a driver of students in facing their challenges in learning mathematics, and students' interpersonal intelligence as the ability of students to interact with people around them in learning. This research was inspired to provide an understanding of the relationship between mathematical self-efficacy and students' interpersonal intelligence. The research applied the correlational method. Participants as a sample in the study were 27 first-grade elementary school students in Purwakarta. Instruments in measuring mathematical self-efficacy used questionnaires and interpersonal intelligence was measured by observation. The findings of this research inform us that there is no significant relationship between students' mathematical self-efficacy and the interpersonal intelligence of elementary school students. Furthermore, mathematical self-efficacy had a very limited influence on students' interpersonal intelligence. Thus, an increase or decrease in mathematical self-efficacy cannot be guaranteed to also occur in the interpersonal intelligence of elementary school students

Abstract

Mathematical creative thinking skills can help students solve mathematical problems with diverse, unique, and detailed solutions and strategies. This study aims to produce an instrument capable of obtaining information about students' mathematical creative thinking skills to solve the cube and rectangular prism volume problems for elementary school students. Research and development are applied in this research. The population of this research was sixth-grade elementary school students in Jakarta and West Java. The participants were 33 students in East Jakarta and 15 students in Purwakarta. The sample is based on purposive sampling. The instrument developed was an essay test question. The item validity test shows that the three items are considered accurate for measuring mathematical creative thinking skills correctly. The instrument is considered consistent for measuring mathematical creative thinking skills and can measure mathematical creative thinking skills on similar subjects at different times and places. The difficulty level of the three items is moderate, so that belonging is not too difficult or easy. The discrimination power of the questions is very good to discriminate the skills of students who are classified as high and low. Thus, the mathematical creative thinking skills instrument can be used to understand the mathematical creative thinking skills of sixth-grade and can also be used to measure the mathematical creative thinking skills of fifth-grade elementary school students on the same material for further research.

Abstract

AbstractDriven by the elementary students’ low self-efficacy (SE) in learning mathematics, this study aims to delve deeper into the interaction between learning based on Mathematical Prior Ability (MPA) and the improvement of students' SE after the implementation of Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach. In total, 119 elementary school students from Purwakarta, Subang, Karawang dan Bekasi participated. Both tests and non-tests were used as the instruments of this study. Using a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group, a two-way ANOVA was used as the technical analysis of the data. The research results revealed that the learning factors are higher than 0.05 i.e. (0.235), the significance of the MPA factor is smaller than 0.05 i.e. (0.030), and the significance of the interaction factor (Learning MPA) is higher than 0.05 i.e. (0.301). It can be concluded that there is an interaction between learning (CPA and conventional) based on MPA and the students’ SE. Thus, the CPA approach can be used to enhance the students’ SE so that they can learn with higher confidence.Keywords: concrete pictorial abstract, self-efficacy, mathematical prior ability. AbstrakDilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya efikasi diri siswa sekolah dasar dalam pembelajaran matematika, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki lebih jauh interaksi antara pembelajaran berbasis Kemampuan Awal Matematis (KAM) dengan peningkatan efikasi diri siswa setelah implementasi pendekatan Concrete Pictorial Abstract (CPA). Secara keseluruhan, 119 siswa sekolah dasar yang berasal dari Purwakarta, Subang, Karawang, dan Bekasi turut berpartisipasi. Baik tes maupun nontes digunakan sebagai instrument pada penelitian ini. Dengan menggunakan desain penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan nonequivalent pretest postest control group, ANOVA dua jalur digunakan sebagai teknik analisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor pembelajaran lebih besar dari 0,05 yaitu (0,235), signifikansi faktor KAM lebih kecil dari 0,05 yaitu (0,030) dan signifikansi faktor interaksi (Pembelajaran KAM) lebih besar dari 0,05 yaitu (0,301). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat interaksi antara pembelajaran (CPA dan konvensional) berdasarkan KAM dan efikasi diri siswa. Dengan demikian, pendekatan CPA dapat dijadikan solusi dalam meningkatan efikasi diri siswa sehingga mereka dapat belajar dengan kepercayaan diri yang lebih tinggi.Kata kunci: concrete pictorial abstract, efikasi diri, kemampuan awal matematis.

Abstract

This study intends to investigate the self-efficacy and perspectives of primary school parents in an online learning during COVID-19. The survey method was applied in this study with a random sampling technique for parents in West Java. Participants included in this study were 95 parents of elementary school students. The instruments applied were open and closed questionnaires. Overall, parental self-efficacy was moderate, namely 45.98. Parents' self-efficacy in public primary schools was higher than from private primary schools. However, in inferential, there was no significant difference between the self-efficacy of parents in public and private primary schools. 55% of parents rated online learning as effective. For students, 44% of parents felt that students had difficulties understanding online learning materials at home. On the other hand, 82% of parents felt student assessments assisted in learning from home. 93% of parents found it easy to access online learning. 68% of parents were satisfied with online learning during COVID-19. Thus, online learning is a breakthrough in learning activities with the use of future technology during COVID-19. Educators are also required to create interactive learning through online learning platform and with the cooperation from parents at home.
