Abstract

ABSTRAKDisiplin dan tanggung jawab merupakan nilai-nilai karakter yang cukup menjadi sorotan saat ini. Misi  penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab siswa dengan menerapkan pendekatan saintifik di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena melihat banyaknya kasus atau fenomena siswa yang menunjukan perilaku kurang disiplin dan tanggung jawab baik bagi dirinya maupun di hadapan orang lain. Penelitian ini akan mengupas tentang pembentukan karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab siswa melalui pendekatan saintifik. Metode kuasi eksperimen, merupakan metode dengan menggunakan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol untuk melihat pengaruh Pendekatan Saintifik terhadap karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab siswa. Hasil penelitian ini dilihat dari presentase rata-rata kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan, yang mulanya 60,08% menjadi 76,18% pada karakter disiplin dan 60,07 mengalami peningkatan menjadi 82,86% dengan kriteria hampir seluruhnya siswa memiliki sikap disiplin dan tanggung jawab. Sedangkan pada kelas kontrol peningkatan rata-rata keseluruhan skala awal dan skala akhir sikap disiplin dan tanggung jawab di kelas kontrol menunjukkan 46,27% meningkat menjadi 51,84% pada karakter disiplin dan 44,85% mengalami peningkatan dengan presentase 62,69%, berdasarkan hasil presentase tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan saintifik dapat mengembangkan karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab siswa serta lebih baik dibandingkan pendekatan konvensional.Kata Kunci : Pendekatan Saintifik, Disiplin. Tanggung JawabABSTRACTDiscipline and responsibility are the values of character that are sufficiently highlighted today. The mission of this research is to develop the character of discipline and responsibility of students by applying scientific approach in elementary school. This study was conducted because it saw the number of cases or phenomenon of students who showed less discipline behavior and responsibility for both themselves and in the presence of others. This research will explore the formation of the character of discipline and student responsibility through a scientific approach. The quasi-experiment method is a method by using experimental class and control class to see the influence of the Scientific Approach to the character of discipline and student responsibility. The results of this study seen from the average percentage of experimental class increased, 60.08% in the beginning to 76.18% in the character discipline and 60.07 increased to 82.86% with the criteria almost all students have the attitude of discipline and responsibility. While in the control class The average increase of the overall initial scale and the final scale of discipline and responsibility attitude in the control class showed 46.27% increase to 51.84% on the character of discipline and 44.85% increased by 62.69% percentage, based on the results of the percentage showed that the scientific approach can develop the character of discipline and student responsibility and better than the conventional approach.Keywords: Scientific Approach, Discipline. Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan karena masih rendahnya hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peningkatan Hasil Belajar (HB) siswa menggunakan pendekatan Concrete Pictorial Abstract (CPA) ditinjau secara keseluruhan maupun berdasarkan Kemampuan Awal Matematis (KAM). Metode penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain  nonequivalent pretest postest control group pada mata pelajaran matematika pokok bahasan volume bangun ruang Kubus dan Balok terhadap 119 siswa Sekolah Dasar di Purwasukasih. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes dan non tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa: Peningkatan HB siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan CPA lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional ditinjau dari keseluruhan maupun KAM.Kata Kunci : Pendekatan Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA), Hasil Belajar (HB), Kemampuan Awal Matematis (KAM) dan Siswa Sekoah DasarIMPROVEMENT OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES THROUGH THE CONCRETE-PICTORIAL-ABSTRACT (CPA) APPROACH ABSTRACTThis research was conducted because of the low level of Learning Outcome of students uses Concrete Pictorial Abstract approach (CPA) if considered by whole and based on Prior Mathematical Ability (PMA). Abstract

Verbal-Linguistic Intelligence and Kinesthetic-Body Intelligence are important for students to have at an early age. The purpose of this study is to see improvement in Verbal-Linguistic and Kinesthetic-Body Intelligence through Instagram-assisted Scientific Approaches. The study used a pre-experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design on the thematic learning of my hobby topic. Determination of the sample by purposive sampling technique. Participants consisted of 15 male students and 12 female students in first-grade elementary school in Purwakarta Regency. Measurement through observation and documentation to observe and record the activities of students' verbal-linguistic and kinesthetic intelligence. Research shows an increase in Verbal-Linguistic and Kinesthetic-Body Intelligence is in the medium category with n-gain values of 0.59 and 0.56, and an increase in Verbal-Linguistic and Kinesthetic-Body Intelligence after learning with a more scientific-assisted Instagram approach significantly better than before being treated with sig. 0,000<0.05. The use of Instagram shows students enthusiastic about expressing their hobbies. Learning development should be able to accommodate a variety of student intelligence and utilize social media that serves to facilitate learning and assessment more interesting

Abstract

The benefits of mathematical self-efficacy as a driver of students in facing their challenges in learning mathematics, and students' interpersonal intelligence as the ability of students to interact with people around them in learning. This research was inspired to provide an understanding of the relationship between mathematical self-efficacy and students' interpersonal intelligence. The research applied the correlational method. Participants as a sample in the study were 27 first-grade elementary school students in Purwakarta. Instruments in measuring mathematical self-efficacy used questionnaires and interpersonal intelligence was measured by observation. The findings of this research inform us that there is no significant relationship between students' mathematical self-efficacy and the interpersonal intelligence of elementary school students. Furthermore, mathematical self-efficacy had a very limited influence on students' interpersonal intelligence. Thus, an increase or decrease in mathematical self-efficacy cannot be guaranteed to also occur in the interpersonal intelligence of elementary school students

Abstract

Teachers need to understand students' early mathematical abilities before continuing learning on the next topic to retain the knowledge. This study aims to produce appropriate and reliable instruments for quality research related to early mathematical abilities. This research implemented R&D. The subjects were 113 sixth-grade students of the elementary school in Karawang. The instrument used was a test to measure early mathematical ability. Validity and reliability tests indicated that the five initial mathematical ability test items were considered valid, with r count > r table and p-value <0.05. The Cronbach's Alpha value was 0.875 (above 0.8 or high reliability). Thus, the five items of the early mathematical ability instrument on the volume of cubes and rectangular prisms can be used for further research to measure the same variables accurately. The results are not significantly different for the same subject even though the time and place are different.

Abstract

The need for adaptive learning strategies during limited face-to-face learning inspires this study. The research intends to analyze the responses and implementation plans of mathematics teachers in implementing blended learning hyper content with hyperlinks on linear equation system with two variables (LESTV). The data collection was done through survey involving questionnaires and interview sheets. Data were then analyzed descriptively. The participants were 38 mathematics junior high teachers in Purwakarta, Indonesia. This study shows the enthusiasm and confidence of teachers in implementing blended learning hyper content with hyperlinks, which is undoubtedly a new insight. It is deemed flexible and easy to apply and becomes an alternative during limited face-to-face learning. Mathematics teachers can plan Blended Learning Hyper content with Hyperlinks through various media and topics. Various LESTV problem-solving strategies can give student interest in studying LESTV concepts and solving problems.

Abstract

Mathematical creative thinking skills can help students solve mathematical problems with diverse, unique, and detailed solutions and strategies. This study aims to produce an instrument capable of obtaining information about students' mathematical creative thinking skills to solve the cube and rectangular prism volume problems for elementary school students. Research and development are applied in this research. The population of this research was sixth-grade elementary school students in Jakarta and West Java. The participants were 33 students in East Jakarta and 15 students in Purwakarta. The sample is based on purposive sampling. The instrument developed was an essay test question. The item validity test shows that the three items are considered accurate for measuring mathematical creative thinking skills correctly. The instrument is considered consistent for measuring mathematical creative thinking skills and can measure mathematical creative thinking skills on similar subjects at different times and places. The difficulty level of the three items is moderate, so that belonging is not too difficult or easy. The discrimination power of the questions is very good to discriminate the skills of students who are classified as high and low. Thus, the mathematical creative thinking skills instrument can be used to understand the mathematical creative thinking skills of sixth-grade and can also be used to measure the mathematical creative thinking skills of fifth-grade elementary school students on the same material for further research.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKecerdasan menggambarkan kemampuan individu menyelesaikan tugas untuk mencapai tujuan. Perkembangan jaman turut mengembangkan temuan baru diantaranya kecerdasan jamak yang dicetuskan Howard Gardner terdiri sembilan kecerdasan. Dalam kajian literatur ini akan membahas pengembangan kecerdasan visual-spasial dan kecerdasan verbal-lnguistik siswa dengan mind map berbantuan youtube untuk menunjang alternatif pembelajaran masa depan setelah munculnya COVID-19. Mind map dianggap cocok untuk mengembangkan kecerdasan visual spasial dan kecerdasan verbal-linguistik karena pembelajaran mind map berhubungan dengan gambar, warna, kata-kata yang sesuai dengan indikator kecerdasan visual-spasial dan kecerdasan verbal-linguistik, media youtube membantu siswa mengembangkan topik yang dibahas serta menunjang kecerdasan dalam pembelajaran jarak jauh ditengah pandemi COVID-19. Dengan demikian penelitian ini sebagai solusi gambaran pembelajaran jarak jauh untuk pengembangan kecerdasan jamak ditengah pandemi COVID-1.ABSTRACTIntelligence describes the ability of individuals to complete tasks to achieve goals. Development of the times helped develop discoveries including multiple intelligences that Howard Gardner coined consisted of nine intelligences. This literature review will discuss the development of visual-spatial intelligence and the verbal-linguistic intelligence of students with a YouTube-assisted mind map to support future learning alternatives after the advent of COVID-19. The mind map is considered suitable for developing spatial-visual intelligence and verbal-linguistic intelligence because mind map learning is related to images, colors, words that are following indicators of visual-spatial intelligence and verbal-linguistic intelligence, YouTube media helps students develop topics discussed and support intelligence in distance learning amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, this study as a solution to the description of distance learning for the development of multiple intelligences amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

AbstractThis study was motivated by the importance of mathematical connection ability for elementary school students. It was necessary to develop an instrument that suitable the indicators of mathematical connection ability to understand the students' mathematical connection ability. The goal of this research was to develop an appropriate mathematical connection ability instrument for primary school students. This study was applied using Research and Development. The participants were 34 third-grade students at an elementary school in Purwakarta, SDN Nagrikaler, chosen through purposive sampling. The instrument was an essay test consisting of six open questions about whole numbers. The indicators developed in composing questions were related to the mathematical connection ability, namely connections inter topics in mathematics, other subjects, and everyday life. The questions were made beforehand in the expert judgment, then tested to see the validity, reliability, difficulty index, and discrimination power index. The validity test analysis indicated that six items on the instrument were valid, the reliability of the test instruments was very high. Meanwhile, the difficulty level was classified as difficult and moderate, and the discrimination power was also categorized as good and very good criteria. Thus, those six developed questions could be applied to measure mathematical connections in the topic of operations of whole numbers for second-grade elementary school students and were suitable for further research instruments on similar subjects and variables even at different times and places.AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya kemampuan koneksi matematis bagi siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bermaksud mengembangkan instrumen yang sesuai dengan indikator kemampuan koneksi matematis untuk memahami kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen kemampuan koneksi matematis yang sesuai untuk siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development. Partisipan adalah 34 siswa kelas III SD di Purwakarta, SDN Nagrikaler, yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes esai yang terdiri dari enam pertanyaan terbuka tentang bilangan cacah. Indikator yang dikembangkan dalam menyusun soal berkaitan dengan kemampuan koneksi matematis, yaitu koneksi antar topik dalam matematika, mata pelajaran lain, dan kehidupan sehari-hari. Soal-soal tersebut dibuat terlebih dahulu sesuai saran expert, kemudian diuji untuk melihat validitas, reliabilitas, indeks kesukaran, dan indeks daya diskriminasi. Analisis uji validitas menunjukkan bahwa enam item pada instrumen tersebut valid dan reliabilitas instrumen tes sangat tinggi. Sedangkan tingkat kesukaran tergolong sukar dan sedang, dan daya pembedanya juga termasuk kriteria baik dan sangat baik. Dengan demikian, 6 item soal yang dikembangkan tersebut dapat diterapkan sebagai instrumen untuk mengukur koneksi matematis dalam pembelajaran matematika pada topik operasi hitung bilangan cacah terhadap siswa kelas dua SD dan layak digunakan untuk instrumen penelitian selanjutnya pada subjek dan variable sejenis meskipun pada waktu dan tempat berbeda.

Abstract

Abstract. The low self-efficacy (SE) and student learning outcomes (LO) are the backgrounds of this study. This research is to see the relationship between SE and LO students through the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach. The research method used is quasi-experimental, with nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design in mathematics learning of 119 elementary students in Purwakarta, Subang, Karawang, and Bekasi. The instrument uses a description test and attitude scale. The results of the analysis show that there is no relationship between the achievement and increase of students' SE and LO with the value of R on the achievement and increase of SE and LO respectively 0.044 and 0.053 and significance> 0.05.Keywords: Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach, Self-Efficacy (SE), Learning Outcomes (LO)
