Abstract

Abstract:. The uncomfortable thermal conditions in the building are complained of by the inhabitants due to the inappropriate selection of roofing materials, thus making the building unable to achieve the expected thermal conditions. Selection of appropriate roofing material will help in air cooling process and minimize energy use for cooling space. This study was conducted to determine the thermal conditions of roof space generated from various types of roofing materials that have been determined. The study object of this study is the roof space in residential buildings with a saddle roof shape with a slope of 30O roof angle. Roofing material is tile, asbestos and zinc. The results data show that the average thermal spaces of roof space on tile roofs are 1.91OC-2.31OC lower than the asbestos roof and zinc. Roof tile is also more able to withstand the sun's heat radiation. The average surface tile roof temperature is 0.28˚C lower than the surface temperature of the asbestos roof and 1.55˚C lower than the zinc roof surface temperature. However, the average profile of the lowest roof surface temperature during the daytime is on the asbestos roof (38.71˚C). Keyword: Roofing material, Thermal condition, Roof room Abstrak: Kondisi termal yang tidak nyaman pada bangunan banyak dikeluhkan oleh penghuni karena pemilihan material atap yang tidak sesuai, sehingga menjadikan bangunan tidak dapat mencapai kondisi termal yang diharapkan. Pemilihan material penutup atap yang tepat akan membantu di dalam proses pendinginan udara serta meminimalisir penggunaan energi untuk pendinginan ruang. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kondisi termal ruang atap yang dihasilkan dari berbagai jenis bahan material atap yang sudah ditentukan. Objek studi dari penelitian ini adalah ruang atap pada bangunan rumah tinggal dengan bentuk atap pelana dengan kemiringan sudut atap 30O. Bahan penutup atap adalah genteng, asbes dan seng. Data hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata termal ruang atap pada atap genteng lebih rendah 1.91OC-2.31OC dari atap asbes dan seng. Atap genteng juga lebih dapat menahan radiasi panas matahari. Rata-rata nilai temperatur permukaan atap genteng lebih rendah 0.28˚C dari temperatur permukaan atap asbes dan 1.55˚C lebih rendah dari temperature permukaan atap seng. Namun rata-rata profil temperatur permukaan atap terendah saat siang hari adalah pada atap asbes  (38.71˚C).Kata Kunci: Bahan penutup atap, Kondisi termal, Ruang atap

Abstract

Abstract: This research study discusses the phenomenon of fires that occur in several major cities in Indonesia in residential buildings in dense residential areas. In the case of this fire will be evaluated a variety of data on the cause of fire due to short circuit from electricity and record photos of objects typology of the form of residential roofs that burned around the location of the results of reports and documentation of publications media sources both newspapers and online media. Examples of cases of fire that were evaluated and discussed were taken from 2015 and 2018. Keyword: Roof Forms, Causes of Electricity, Homes Abstrak: Studi penelitian ini membahas tentang fenomena kebakaran yang terjadi di beberapa kota besar di Indonesia pada bangunan rumah tinggal yang ada di kawasan pemukiman padat. Pada kasus kebakaran ini akan dievaluasi berbagai data penyebab timbulnya api akibat hubungan arus pendek dari listrik dan merekam foto objek tipologi bentuk atap rumah tinggal yang terbakar di sekitar lokasi hasil dari laporan serta dokumentasi sumber media publikasi baik koran maupun media online. Contoh kasus kejadian kebakaran yang dievaluasi dan menjadi pembahasan diambil dari tahun 2015 sampai dengan bulan Juli 2018.    Kata Kunci: Bentuk Atap, Penyebab Listrik, Rumah Tinggal

Abstract

ABSTRACT : Cibuntu area is a residential area in the city of Bandung that already existed in the colonial era of the Dutch government before independent Indonesia which was partially inhabited by natives and as the settlement of Cibuntu began to be suspended in China and immigrants from the city inhabiting Cibuntu in Bandung became wrong one area with a diverse population. However, in 1937 there was an immigrant from which he founded a small, tofu-producing factory in the Cibuntu area of Bandung. Even though it is a small-scale home industry, the factory is the first and the beginning of the identity of the Cibuntu area as a center for tofu production. But with the time and time of Cibuntu region with limited space the settlement was getting more crowded. This research is intended to provide data and facts that occurred in the Cibuntu area of Bandung. Abstract

ABSTRACT : According to the adaptive thermal comfort approach, the neutral temperatures or the comfortable temperature of building occupants can be predicted based on the average data of the outdoor air temperature in the vicinity of the residential buildings. Generally the residents of the residential buildings still feel comfortable in the range of zones 80% or plus minus two and a half degrees of comfortable temperature.This paper attempts to analyze the typical annual climate data was published by ASHRAE RP 1477 in the Year 2011 for the purpose of estimating the comfort zone of traditional buildings in Indonesia. The method was used is the statistical data processing of 28 cities in Indonesia, to be presented in the form of average, minimum, maximum, daily and monthly data. It is expected that this method will get selected daily data profile and monthly data. Furthermore, the monthly data calculated comfort zone follows the adaptive thermal equation of ASHRAE 55 2004.The existing data are expected later to be used to compare with the actual data of mean vote which have accumulated over several years of this measurement for prediction the comfort level of the existing traditional dwelling.Keywords : Typical Annual Climate Data; Adaptive Thermal Comfort; ASHRAE; Traditional Buildings; Natural Ventilation

Abstract

ABSTRACT : Population growth in the city of Bandung is increasing so that the laha needs especially commercial activities are also increasing both in the city center to the suburbs including Cibeunying Kaler District, Bandung City. The development of this commercial activity also occurs along the Surapati road corridor, especially those in Cibeunying Kaler District. Surapati road corridor is designated as a holy shirt tourism area with the existence of outlets as the main activity. The existence of this corridor also has various supporting activities such as economic/trade, social, health, worship, education and government building activities. With a variety of activities in it, so that it can lead to changes in residential functions into commercial buildings, such as changes in land use from settlements to an outlet area for t-shirts, trade and services for trade and service activities following market guidelines. This study aims to identify the functions of trade buildings along the Surapati road corridor in Bandung City. By using a qualitative descriptive method to determine the effect of any factors that influence changes in function in the corridor of Bandung city, Surapati. Abstract

Abstract:. Cibaduyut Shoe Industry Center (KSISC), especially the corridor of Jalan Cibaduyut Raya is one of shoe shopping center in Bandung. The key to the success of the commercial corridor area to be profitable from the economic aspect is the attractiveness of the space / space of the commercial corridor. Sustainable streetscape plays an important role in shaping the visual image of sustainable cities, as this is one of the most important factors that help the success of cities, and tourist spots. this study aims to see the existing physical quality in the corridor of Jalan Cibaduyut Raya as the center of the activities of shopping area of leather shoes in Bandung. Then examine the elements and principles of sustainable streetscape that can be applied to the corridor of Jalan Cibaduyut Raya so that it impacts on the social, economic and visual image of the city. The method used is qualitative method by focusing on problem solving. The results show that KSISC corridor is not sustainable enough so as to build sustainable streetscape, the principles of sustainable streetscape should be applied thoroughly. Kunci kesuksesan kawasan koridor komersial agar menjadi menguntungkan dari aspek ekonomi adalah daya tarik tempat/ruang kawasan koridor komersial tersebut. Sustainable streetscape memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk citra visual kota-kota yang berkelanjutan, karena ini adalah salah satu faktor terpenting yang membantu keberhasilan kota, dan tempat-tempat wisata. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kualitas fisik existing pada koridor Jalan Cibaduyut Raya sebagai pusat kegiatan area belanja sepatu kulit di Kota Bandung. Lalu mengkaji elemen dan prinsip sustainable streetscape yang nantinya dapat diterapkan pada koridor Jalan Cibaduyut Raya sehingga berdampak pada sosial, ekonomi dan citra visual kota. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan berfokus pada pemecahan masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa koridor KSISC belum cukup berkelanjutan sehingga untuk membangun streetscape yang berkelanjutan, prinsip-prinsip sustainable streetscape harus diterapkan secara menyeluruh. Abstract

Rumah tinggal sebagai tempat berlindung dan beristirahat bagi manusia perlu mempertimbangkan kenyamanan termal. Kenyamanan termal di dalam rumah tinggal di tunjang dari berbagai faktor salah satunya bukaan. Bukaan berfungsi sebagai sirkulasi udara masuk kedalam bangunan yang berpengaruh terhadap temperatur dan kelembaban yang selanjutnya juga mempengaruhi kenyamanan termal dalam rumah tinggal. Artikel ini mencoba menganalisis kenyamanan termal bukaan pada bangunan rumah tinggal. Penelitian ini mencoba mengevaluasi kondisi temperatur dan kelembaban dalam bangunan hunian. Selanjutnya peneliti juga melakukan simulasi untuk mengintervensi bukaan bangunan dalam rangka mengoptimalkan masuknya angin dan menemukan kenyamanan termal yang lebih optimal. Metode kuantitatif deskriptif digunakan dengan pengukuran dan simulasi. Hasil penelitian dari studi kasus yang dikaji menunjukan bahwa bukaan mempengaruhi kenyamanan di dalam ruangan. Ukuran bukaan yang besar belum tentu bisa menjadikan nyaman terhadap ruangan, tetapi bentuk dan penempatan daun bukaan yang tepat dapat menjadikan ruangan di dalam menjadi lebih nyaman.

Abstract

The market is a place or place for buying and selling a product, managers and presenters, a place for interacting or buying and selling that develops and is required to be able to follow the development of an increasingly sophisticated era. This Cicadas Traditional Market is a facility or container that is quite important to support shopping in the city of Bandung. The purpose of this design is to provide understanding and knowledge of the revitalization of the Cicadas Traditional Market with a Contemporary Vernacular Architecture Approach with the application of the theme 'Contemporary Vernacular Architecture'. Contemporary Vernacular Architecture is an architectural theme that seeks to minimize adverse effects on the natural and human environment and produce a better and healthier place to live, which is done by utilizing energy and natural resources efficiently and optimally. Application of the Contemporary Vernacular Architecture Theme in the Cicadas Traditional Market building Contemporary Vernacular Architecture, is an architectural style designed according to local needs, availability of building materials, and reflects local traditions.

Abstract: The rate of population growth in Indonesia is growing very rapidly, but this is not accompanied by the availability of adequate decent housing. Limited land in urban areas in Indonesia is one of the important issues behind the unavailability of decent housing for all groups. The decent housing that has been built offers prices that are not affordable for most people. This certainly needs to find a solution so that all people can still get decent housing by utilizing limited urban land, especially for people with middle to lower economic levels or Low Income Communities (MBR). Land efficiency by making residential terraces up or vertical can be a low-cost housing solution for MBR. Through the role of architecture in creating vertical settlements in the form of flats that meet standards, the concept of Pragmatic Architecture which prioritizes aspects of function over aesthetics is considered capable of answering the findings of certain problems that are real and measurable such as population density, limited land, allocation of funds, supporting facilities for the needs of daily residents. day, structure & construction and various other aspects. It is hoped that this functional design will be effective in improving the quality of life for the occupants of the flats in order to provide decent housing in limited urban land.Abstrak: Laju pertumbuhan penduduk di Indonesia berkembang sangat pesat namun hal ini tidak diiringi dengan ketersediaan hunian layak yang memadai. Keterbatasan lahan di perkotaan di Indonesia menjadi salah satu isu penting dibalik tidak tersedianya hunian layak bagi semua kalangan. Adapun hunian layak yang terbangun menawarkan harga yang tidak terjangkau bagi sebagian besar masyarakat. Hal ini tentu perlu dicari solusi agar seluruh kalangan masyarakat tetap mendapatkan hunian layak dengan memanfaatkan lahan perkotaan yang terbatas terkhusus bagi masyarakat dengan tingkat ekonomi menengah kebawah atau Masyarakat Berpenghasilan Rendah (MBR). Efisiensi lahan dengan membuat hunian bersusun keatas atau vertikal dapat menjadi solusi hunian murah bagi MBR. Melalui peran arsitektur guna menciptakan pemukiman vertikal berupa rumah susun yang memenuhi standar, konsep Arsitektur Pragmatik yang memprioritaskan aspek fungsi diatas estetika dinilai mampu menjawab temuan permasalahan tertentu yang nyata adanya serta dapat diukur seperti kepadatan penduduk, keterbatasan lahan, pengalokasian dana, fasilitas penunjang kebutuhan penghuni sehari hari, struktur & konstuksi dan berbagai aspek lainnya. Harapan dari desain yang fungsional ini dapat efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas hidup penghuni rumah susun dalam rangka memberikan hunian layak di keterbatasan lahan perkotaan.

Abstract

As an artificial physical place, residential building is formed by various functional spaces, such as residential space and the space between the ceiling space and the roof, i.e. the attics. The phenomenon of fires in residential buildings in densely populated areas is suspected of having occurred in the attics. Hitherto, research on the fire space model concerning the stages of ignition and flashover usually employs the Steckler's compartment model in the form of a cube/box. On the contrary, the fire model with a triangular roof shape is still rarely studied. The purpose of this study was to analyse the influence of the geometric shape of the attics on the ignition and flashover stages in residential fires located in densely populated settlements. This study employs an experimental method by conducting scaled experiments of the geometric model of the ceiling space in the form of a triangular gable roof and shed roof, focusing on the ignition and flashover stages. The results showed that the ignition stage in the gable roof and shed roof models occurred in the 3rd and 4th minutes with a temperature ranging from 270 ⁰C- 476 ⁰C. The flashover stage also occurred in the 5th to 9th minute with regular results close to 500 ⁰C.
