Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of parenting on early childhood cognitive development in Tanjung Medan Utara Village. This type of research is quantitative with a population of early childhood in the village of Tanjug, North Medan as many as 38 children. The sampling technique uses saturated samples. Data collection using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using SPSS software version 2.5. The results of this study indicate that parenting practices applied to children in Tanjung Medan Utara Village are authoritarian parenting 16.1%, democratic parenting 25.0% and permissive parenting 7.2%. Then there is a relationship between parenting with the child's cognitive development. as evidenced by the Asymp 0.988 whose probability rate is below 0.05. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between parenting and cognitive development of children or with democratic parenting will provide good cognitive development, while children with authoritarian parenting will provide adequate or unfavorable development, so with permissive parenting.Keywords : Parenting Style, Early Childhood, Cognitive Development

Abstract

The moral development of children has recently become an interesting issue to be the center of research attention. Many aspects become variables that can affect children's moral development, one of which is parenting. To analyze the relationship between parenting and children's moral, which was carried out by analyzing the items in the parenting style questionnaire and the children's moral development questionnaire, a study was conducted by taking a sample of 308 parents who had children aged 4-10 years in Patumbak District. Data were collected using the Google-form platform with a questionnaire designed and tested for validity. The collected data were then analyzed using the Contigency coefficient. The results showed that there was a relationship between the variable items of parenting and moral development in children.Keywords: Parenting, Children, Moral

Abstract

Moral according to the teachings of Islam is when we do everything based on the Koran, while moral in society is when we do everything that is in accordance with the rules that apply in society. Moral is an important aspect that must be learned by everyone. At present there are many cases that illustrate moral degradation such as sexual harassment behavior, the use of illegal drugs and others. This of course needs improvement and the most important thing is improvement in the world of education where there must be moral cultivation in children based on the Koran and sunnah. Abstract

Kindergarten (TK) education is a bridge between the family environment and the wider community, namely elementary schools and other environments. Realizing the importance of this, providing early education services is necessary. Coloring learning for early childhood is one way to stimulate children's motor development. By learning to color, one of the advantages is that it will be able to increase children's creativity. This creativity can actually be developed in various ways and can be done anywhere either in the family environment or also in the environment where children interact (Lubis et al., 2016). This research was conducted to see the development of coloring creativity in One Roof Kindergarten children at SDN 2 Rimo, Lae Butar village, Gunung Meriah sub-district, Aceh Singkil district, totaling 20 students in class B. The activities carried out in this study were coloring through pictorial media. The data collection tool obtained from this study is the work of children.

Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of character education on student achievement in class IX at the Al-Azhar Asy-Syarif Islamic boarding school. The total population of class IX was 150 students and the sample in this study was taken 25% of the total population of 39 people. This research is a quantitative study using simple linear regression analysis techniques. The results obtained in this study are that there is an influence of character education on student achievement. This can be seen from the significance value of 0.002 0.05 or it can also be proven by the t count value of 3.424 t table 2.026. The effect of character education on student achievement contributes 24.1%. This means that 75.9% of student achievement is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.
