Abstract

The observatory is an institution that studies the celestial bodies and is an important legacy of Islamic civilization. In the early development, the observatory focused more on the study of celestial bodies. But in the modern era, observatory institutions have functions and strategic positions in social and intellectual life in the community. Among them the observatory has educational values or aspects. Among the values and functions of education in observatory institutions are: (1) as a means of accusing the times and positions of worship of Muslims (especially prayer and fasting), (2) as a scientific study institution, and (3) as a scientific educational institution.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the learning process of Islamic religious education in junior high schools. This study uses qualitative research, with the phenomenological approach of Al-Ulum MedanJakarta Integrated Islamic Middle School. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, focus group discussions and documentation and then analyzed descriptively with an interactive analysis model. The results obtained are modeling learning strategies that have a good impact on improving student learning outcomes, by making some characters become models who practice certain materials in the learning process, so learning to dance from opening, core activities to closing. The conclusion of this study is the modeling learning strategy designed by the Al-Ulum Integrated Islamic Middle School to be superior and integrated characteristics of a junior high school, modeling learning strategies pay attention to the interests of students, the learning outcomes of Islamic religious education taught with modeling learning strategies are higher than those taught with conventional learning strategies.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the biography of Sheikh Abdul Raouf Al-Sinkili and his contribution to astronomy through his book "Risalah fi at-Taqwim”. This study applies qualitative research, which focuses on scientific biography. The data was obtained by analysing the content, which was conducted in three steps: (1) preparing the research, (2) preparing the manuscript “Risala fi at-taqwim” by Syeikh Abdul Raouf Al-Sankaili which is related to the research, and (3) analysing the manuscripts, including biographies of the author, astronomical developments, and the content analysis investigation. By analysing the manuscript’s contents, this research produces an overview and the contribution of Sheikh Abdul Raouf Al-Sinkaili to astronomy, especially in the calendar field.

Abstract

Students at a High School in Medan, North Sumatra, who are taking part in an Islamic Education program, are being studied to determine which factors influence their learning habits. Descriptive research is used in this study. During January and February 2020, this study was carried out. This study included 212 students from XI and XII levels. In this study, questionnaires were used to collect data on students' following Islamic Education classes. Islamic education subjects in grades XI and XII were the most popular subjects for students to join a working group on. At the same time, independent study at home was the least popular learning method.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a collaborative-based supervision model that emphasizes three aspects of (1) listening and responding ability and (2) willingness to listen and respond. The research method used is research and development (R D). The subjects of this study were school supervisors and teachers at junior high schools within the Medan City Education Office. This research was carried out from January to November 2021. The results of this study indicate that the model is feasible based on the results of trials with a limited area, main area and operational area. In addition, this study formulated four teachers’ characteristics, namely lazy teachers, unfocused teachers, narrator teachers and professional teachers. Effective supervision practices for the four teachers’ characteristics are carried out with the approach and behaviour of school supervisors through instructions (for lazy teachers), consultation (for unfocused teachers), participatory (narrator teachers) and delegation (professional teachers). By applying the four strategies and behaviours for teachers’ character development in the practice of supervision, the implementation of supervision will achieve the expected results.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the dominant factors that cause learning difficulties of students in participating in the Islamic Education (PAI) program at students of grade XI and XII at Laksamana Martadinata High School, Medan, North Sumatra. The research method used is descriptive research. This research was conducted in January to February 2020. 236 students of class XI and XII of Laksamana Martadinata Senior High School in Medan, North Sumatra were sampled in this study. Data collection techniques used in this study were by giving a questionnaire to the factors of student learning difficulties in following the Islamic Education subjects. The results showed that the internal factors causing the highest learning difficulties were health indicators with 70.68% and the external factors causing the highest learning difficulties were family indicators with 55.01%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Kinerja Dosen sebagai tenaga Pendidik di Prodi Bimbingan dan Konseling Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara. Untuk mengetahu Kompetensi Dosen Dosen di Prodi Bimbingan dan Konseling Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara untuk mengetahui Penilaian kinerja dosen sesuai dengan tugas pokok dosen yang tertuang dalam Keputusan Menteri Negara Koordinator Bidang Pengawasan Pembangunan dan Pendayagunaan Aparatur Negara Nomor: 38 / KEP / MK. WASPAN /8/ 1999 tentang Jabatan Fungsional Dosen dan Angka Kredit. Pasal 3 yaitu Tugas pokok Dosen adalah melaksanakan pendidikan dan pengajaran pada perguruan tinggi, penelitian serta pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Pasal 4 ayat (2) Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif. Pada penelitian ini, sumber data primer, merupakan data yang diproleh dari data ketua prodi Bimbingan dan Konseling, Seketaris Prodi Bimbingan dan Konseling, Dosen di Prodi Bimbigan dan konselin dan LP2M. Teknik dan prosedur pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tiga cara berupa lisan (verbal) interview (wawancara) dan observasi. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Analisis Kinerja Dosen di Tinjau dari Kompetensi Dosen di Prodi Bimbingan dan Konseling Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara. Bahwa kinerja dosen tetap prodi bimbingan dan konseling dapat nyatakan sudah memenuhi kualifikasi sebagai dosen sebagaimana yang telah di tetapkan oleh Undang-undang RI No 14 Tahun 2005 tentang Guru dan Dosen  dan Undang-undang No 20 Tahun 2003 tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional (Sisdiknas) Bab II Pasal 3.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh iklim organisasi terhadap kinerja pramubakti di Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Sumatera Utara dan pengaruh motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja pramubakti di Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Sumatera Utara serta pengaruh iklim organisasi dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja pramubakti di Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Sumatera. Temuan penelitian ini menyompulkan terdapat pengaruh langsung dan positif iklim organisasi terhadap kinerja pramubakti Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Sumatera Utara yakni sebesar 0,305. Dapat dijelaskan bahwa ada pengaruh langsung iklim organisasi terhadap kinerja pramubakti Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Terdapat pengaruh langsung dan positif motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Sumatera Utara sebesar 0,226. Dapat dijelaskan bahwa ada pengaruh langsung motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja pramubakti Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Secara simultan pengaruh iklim organisasi dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja pramubakti Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Sumatera Utara sebesar 17,1%. Sedangkan pengaruh variabel lainnya 82,9%. Dengan artian bahwa pengaruh variabel iklim organisasi dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja pramubakti Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Sumatera Utara 17,1%, sedangkan sisanya 82,9% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lainnya di luar model penelitian.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana variabel – variabel yang tengah dikaji, yaitu Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah, Kepuasan Kerja Dan Kecerdasan Emosional Terhadap Kinerja Guru di SMP Negeri Se-Kecamatan Sidikalang Kabupaten Dairi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada SMP Negeri Se-Kecamatan Sidikalang Kabupaten Dairi, dengan periode penelitian yaitu sejak Agustus 2021 – Januari 2022. Populasi penelitian yaitu seluruh tenaga pendidik yang berstatus PNS dan honorer di SMP  Negeri Se-Kecamatan Sidikalang yang berjumlah 53 orang di SMP Negeri 1 Sidikalang, SMP Negeri 2 Sidikalang berjumlah 53 orang dan SMP Negeri 3 Sidikalang 55 orang. Sehingga total populasi penelitian 161 orang. Sedangkan sampel penelitian berjumlah 62 orang yang berstatus PNS. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data dan informasi tentang obyek yang akan diteliti yaitu angket dengan pendekatan skala likert. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji validitas data, reliabilitas, asumsi klasik, hipotesis dan determinasi. Hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja propesional guru dengan nilai t hitung : 3.174. Ada pengaruh kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja propesional guru dengan t hitung : 2.945. Ada pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap kinerja propesional guru dengan t hitung : 3.451. Dan ada pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, kepuasan kerja dan kecerdasan emosional terhadap kinerja propesional guru sebesar 34,2 %.ABSTRACTThis study aims to find out how the variables being studied are Principal Leadership, Job Satisfaction and Emotional Intelligence on Teacher Performance at State Junior High Schools in Sidikalang District, Dairi Regency. This research was conducted at State Junior High Schools in Sidikalang District, Dairi Regency, with the research period from August 2021 - January 2022. The research population is all educators who are civil servants and honorary employees at State Junior High Schools throughout the Sidikalang District, totaling 53 people in SMP Negeri 1 Sidikalang, SMP Negeri 2 Sidikalang totaling 53 people and SMP Negeri 3 Sidikalang 55 people. So the total population of the study was 161 people. While the research sample amounted to 62 people with the status of civil servants. The instrument used to obtain data and information about the object to be studied is a questionnaire with a Likert scale approach. Data analysis techniques used are data validity, reliability, classical assumptions, hypotheses and determinations. The results of the analysis of research data indicate that there is an influence of the principal's leadership on the professional performance of teachers with a t value of 3.174. There is an effect of job satisfaction on the professional performance of teachers with t count: 2,945. There is an influence of emotional intelligence on the professional performance of teachers with t count: 3.451. And there is the influence of the principal's leadership, job satisfaction and emotional intelligence on the professional performance of teachers by 34.2%

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis apakah aspek manajemen belajar siswa mencakup rajin dalam belajar, tekun dalam belajar, rapi dalam mengerjakan tugas, memiliki jadwal belajar, disiplin dalam belajar merupakan faktor yang mempengaruhi minat belajar matematika siswa memiliki pengaruh terhadap pretsasi belajar, dan mengetahui faktor manakah yang dominan mempengaruhi prestasi belajar siswa. Adapaun pengumpulan data penelitian ini berupa angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang mempengaruhi prestasi belajar dilihat dari aspek manajemen belajar siswa, yakni rajin dalam belajar, tekun dalam belajar, rajin mengerjakan tugas, memiliki jadwal belajar, disiplin dalam belajar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan hipotesis penelitian, masing- masing faktor memiliki kontribusi untuk mempengaruhi prestasi belajar, dimana untuk variabel rajin dalam belajar (faktornya adalah 0,784), variabel tekun dalam belajar (faktornya adalah 0,871), variabel rajin dalam mengerjakan tugas (faktor nya adalah 0,841), variabel memiliki jadwal belajar ( faktor 1 adalah 0,853), variabel disiplin dalam belajar (faktornya adalah 0,880). Faktor yang paling utama yang mempengaruhi prestasi belajar yang memiliki nilai tertinggi yaitu variabel Disipilin siswa X3 sebesar 0,880.Kata Kunci : Faktor-Faktor Prestasi Belajar, Manajemen Belajar Siswa
