Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of Index Card Match (ICM) learning model with Problem Posing approach and assisted by MATLAB software to improve problem-solving abilities both overall and reviewed from the students' early mathematical abilities. This research is quasi-experiment research with non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study is all students of class XI SMA N 2 Kuningan, with purposive sampling technique took two classes as a sample. The result of data analysis shows the average of students' initial problem-solving ability in the experimental group is equal to the average of students' initial ability in the control group with a significance value are 0.212. After the treatment, there are differences in problem-solving ability in the experimental class and control class that are 3.38 and p-value of -2.563 with asymp. sig 0.010, the rejection for H0 which means the ability to solve mathematical problems in the experimental class is better than the class control. But there aren’t differences in problem-solving abilities in the experimental class and control class with p-value 0.515 and sig 0.476, the acception for H0 which means there aren’t differences the improvement of mathematical problem-solving ability in the experimental class and the control class.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the interaction between the RME approach and conventional with the initial ability of mathematics in improving students' mathematical literacy. The research method used in this study was quasi-experimental with the design of a non-equivalent control group design. Data retrieval is done through mathematical literacy tests. The data analysis method that the researchers conducted was the Two-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) using the general linear univariate analysis model. The subjects in the study were grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 3 Kuningan, which numbered 309 students. The sampling technique was carried out using purposive sampling technique, taking into account the homogeneity of Prior Mathematical Learning Abilitystudents'in both classes determined by giving initial tests to students. The research sample amounted to 65 students, which were divided into two classes. The results of the study showed that there was no interaction between RME learning and the conventional category of students 'ability to students' mathematical literacy. However, for each level of students’ initial mathematical abilities, an increase in students' mathematical literacy skills with learning using the RME learning assisted by Adobe Flash CS6 is higher than students who obtain conventional learning.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menelaah peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa melalui model pembelajaran problem posing ditinjau berdasarkan kemampuan awal matematis (KAM) siswa. Data KAM pada tulisan ini adalah nilai ulangan harian siswa pada pokok bahasan sebelumnya yang kemudian dikelompokkan menjadi kategori Tinggi, Sedang, dan Rendah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan meliputi Uji Normalitas, Uji Homogenitas, Uji t, Uji t?, Uji Mann Whitney, serta Uji Anova Satu Jalur dan Uji Kruskal Wallis. Data hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata N-Gain kelas eksperimen 0,48 sedangkan rata-rata NGain kelas kontrol 0,18. Selanjutnya rata-rata N-Gain kelas eksperimen kelompok KAM tinggi 0,56; kelompok KAM sedang 0,45; kelompok KAM rendah 0,49. Sedangkan rata-rata N-Gain kelas kontrol kelompok KAM tinggi 0,11; kelompok KAM sedang 0,21; kelompok KAM rendah 0,13. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa apabila ditinjau secara keseluruhan, peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran matematika melalui model pembelajaran problem posing lebih baik daripada peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran matematika secara konvensional. Selanjutnya apabila ditinjau berdasarkan kategori KAM tinggi, sedang, dan rendah, tidak terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis baik itu pada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran matematika melalui model pembelajaran problem posing maupun pada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran matematika secara konvensional. Akan tetapi pada kategori KAM tinggi, sedang, dan rendah, peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran matematika melalui model pembelajaran problem posing lebih baik daripada peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran matematika secara konvensional.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop valid, practical, and effective learning using the GeoGebra-assisted Contextual Teaching & Learning (CTL) learning model using the Flipped Learning model to improve the mathematical representation abilities of junior high school students. This research is research and development (R&D). This research has five stages: analyzing the developed product, developing the initial product, expert validation and revision, small-scale field trials and product revisions, and testing large-scale field and final products. Based on the results of several studies, including lesson plans and valid textbooks. From the limited test, the ten questions of the representation ability test were also valid and reliable. The lesson plans and textbooks developed are also practical in terms of teachers and students. Moreover, the average value of the mathematical representation in the experimental class is classified as effective in increasing students' mathematical representation ability. That way, the mathematics learning device characterized by GeoGebra assisted CTL using the Flipped Learning model can be said to be valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

Soal open-ended diharapkan meningkatkan kompetensi bagi calon guru matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan secara spesifik mengenai kemampuan calon guru matematika dalam proses penyelesaian soal open-ended pada materi segiempat. Penelitian menerapkan metode penjelasan/menggambarkan atau dikenal dengan deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Subjek dari penelitian merupakan mahasiswa FKIP UNSRI, prodi pendidikan matematika semester IV dengan melibatkan sampel 35 mahasiswa. Proses pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara secara one to one dan small group serta pengukuran dengan tes tertulis. Berdasarkan hasil dari pengukuran diperoleh kesimpulan sebagai berikut: (1) rata-rata jawaban pada soal 1 sebesar 0,83 atau 16% dan soal 2 sebesar 1,80 atau 36% (2) Untuk hasil dari wawancara secara one to one dan small group mayoritas mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan memahami makna soal sehingga menimbulkan penafsiran ganda pada soal nomor 1. Sedangkan, hanya beberapa mahasiswa yang mampu menelaah makna soal secara akurat dan benar pada soal nomor 2. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan calon guru matematika dalam proses penyelesaian soal open-ended pada materi segiempat masih terkategori rendah.

Abstract

Students' mathematical literacy abilities are important to master, especially to formulate mathematical concepts that can be used in everyday life. Mathematical literacy has become an important issue lately to be developed in the study of mathematics learning. However, mathematical literacy has not become the main goal in the implementation of the learning carried out. The purpose of this study was to examine the comparison of students 'mathematical literacy skills with Adobe Flash Professional CS6-based RME learning with conventional learning and to examine the comparison of improvement in students' mathematical literacy skills with Adobe Flash Professional CS6-based RME learning with conventional learning. The research method used in this study was quasi-experimental with the design of a non-equivalent control group design. The results of the two research hypotheses were accepted. It is possible that the increase in students' mathematical literacy skills is triggered by the Adobe Flash Professional CS6-based RME learning which in the implementation of learning always focuses on self regulated learning.

Abstract

Makalah ini merupakan kajian teori dan aplikasi persamaan diferensial. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji suatu konsep dan kemudian bisa diterapkan serta diimplementasikan dalam komputasi matematika sehingga memudahkan dan menunjang aspek-aspek kehidupan di luar matematika. Penerapan persamaan diferensial banyak digunakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari salah satunya adalah untuk mengestimasi jumlah populasi pada suatu wilayah dan waktu tertentu dengan mengunakan konsep persamaan diferensial. Jika populasi yang bertumbuh atau luruh dimisalkan N (t), asumsikan bahwa P(t) adalah suatu fungsi yang dapat diturunkan terhadap waktu, sehingga termasuk fungsi yang kontinu. Jika dasumsikan bahwa ,dk/dN merupakan laju perubahan jumlah/ populasi proporsional terhadap jumlah yang ada maka dk/dN-kN=0, dimana k adalah konstanta proporsional.

Abstract

Pentingnya pembelajaran materi kerucut ini dikarenakan banyak benda-benda yang terdapat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari yang berbentuk kerucut. Dalam proses pembelajarannya dibutuhkan LKS sebagai media yang membantu pembelajaran. Sehingga dibutuhkan pemahaman siswa mengenai materi kerucut tersebut. Artikel ini ditulis dengan tujuan untuk menunjukkan proses pengembangan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) matematika dan memahami kualitas LKS yang dihasilkan pada materi bangun ruang kerucut di SMP.Metode pengembangan LKS yaitu pengembangan dengan model tessmer yaitu, perliminary, prototype (self review, expert review, one to one, small group, dan field test). LKS ini juga menggunakan tiga aspek utama filsafat sebagai komponen utama dalam pembagian setiap aktivitas yaitu ontologi, epistimologi, dan aksiologi. Adapun jenis data yang diambil data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah LKS yang valid dan praktis.
