Abstract

Ideally processing of part using stamping machine using only 70-80 % of available force to keep machine in good shape for a long periods. But in some certain case the force may equal to or exceed the available maximum force so the company must sent the process to another outsource company. A case found in a metal stamping company where a final product consist of 3 parts to assembly with one part exceeded the force of available machine. This part can only process in a 1000 tons machine while this company only have 2 of this machine with full workload. Sending this parts outsource will induce delivery problems because other parts are processed, assembled and paint inhouse, this also need additional transportation cost and extra supervision to ensure the quality and delivery schedule. The only exit action of this problem is by reducing the force tonnage. This paper using punch inclining method to reduce the force. The incline punch will distributed the force along the inclined surface that reduce stamping force as well. Inclined surface of punch also cause another major problems that the product becoming curved after process. This problems solved with additional flattening process that add more process cost but better than to outsource the process. Chisel type of inclining punch tip was choosen to avoid worst deformation of product. This paper will give the scientific recomendation to the company.

Abstract

MPFM (Multi Phase Flow Meter) is an on field tools to measure the flow and compotition of crude oil during mud logging process. This tool unit operated beside logging well area so the result can be obtained directly on site. Because of remote access in mining location, a small and lighter measuring unit tools required in order to have easy transportation, storaging and installing of the unit. The MPFM Single line unit then developed to answer this problems VDI 2221 design methode is using to design this new unit where the primary data gathered from litercy study, interview with the company’s management staffs and operators. This design methode obtain 4 product variations where 1st Varian was choosed as the best design.  Keywords: MPFM, VDI 2221, Design Methode, Mechanical Design.

Abstract

Effeciency, effectiveness and productivity can be increased by adoptation of technology thru understanding physical phenomenon. Buckling is a physical phenomenon that must be avoid in any structures built. In mechanical engineering this buckling test is learned as a laboratorium practice. Bucling test equipment unit is available in the market but with high price, thus we try to design and build a simple yet cheap bucling test unit. The unit consist of Pressure gauge and Dial indicator to get exact value of deflection dan pressure / force given. Some students also involved during this activities.

Abstract

Rendang adalah salah satu makanan terlezat didunia menurut versi CNN International. Proses pengolahan rendang memakan waktu 3 hingga 5 jam tergantung dari jenis rendang yang dibuat. Proses memasak dan mengolah ini memerlukan waktu, tenaga yang cukup besar. Penelitian ini membuat desain mesin pembuat rendang portable untuk proses pengadukan sehingga akan mempermudah usaha dalam proses memasak rendang. Konsep ini dirancang menggunakan model 3D dengan 3 kaki yang bisa dilipat serta menggunakan motor listrik yang bisa dikontrol.

Abstract

Tumbuhan eceng gondok yang menyebar hampir ke seluruh embung atau perairan Kayu Tanduak mengakibatkan para petani di masyarakat sepenulisr kekurangan atau kehilangan air, sehingga eceng gondok menghambat aliran irigasi sawah dan ladang. Masalah pertumbuhan eceng gondok yang pesat ini memberikan dampak langsung kepada pendapatan hasil panen baik ladang atau sawah yang berkurang. Program Pengabdian bagi Masyarakat ini mempunyai tujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat sasaran tentang pengolahan eceng gondok menjadi biogas. Masyarakat yang menjadi sasaran pada kegiatan ini adalah Ibu-Ibu PKK Jorong Kayu Tanduak pada khususnya dan masyarakat sepenulisr Jorong Kayu Tanduak. Metode yang digunakan dalam melakukan pengabdian ini adalah (1) sosialisasi tentang pengolahan eceng gondok menjadi biogas, (2) pelatihan pembuatan alat biogas dari eceng gondok, (3) melakukan penyebaran kuisioner sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan tentang pengetahuan tentang pembuatan alat biogas dari eceng gondok. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif kepada Ibu-Ibu PKK ini antara lain : (1) Peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang pengolahan eceng gondok menjadi biogas yang diketahui dari hasil penyebaran angket sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan, (2) tersebarnya informasi tentang pemanfaatan eceng gondok menjadi biogas dari jorong Kayu Tanduak Kabupaten Tanah Datar. Kata kunci: Eceng Gondok, Biogas, Jorong Kayu Tanduak ABSTRACT The plant of water hyacinth which spread throughout reservoir or water pool in Kayu Tanduk has made the farmers surrounding become lack or loss of water. Water hyacinth has also affected the flow of irrigation for rice fields and fields. The rapid growth problem of water hyacinth gives direct impact to the farmers harvest income in the rice fileds and fields. This community service program (PKM) is purposed to increase the knowledge and craftsmanship for villagers and society about how to process water hyacinth into biogas.The main target community in this program is the mothers of empowering family welfare group (PKK) at Kayu Tanduak and the society of its surrounding. The methods used in this program are 1) socialization to society how to process it,2) giving training to society how to make biogas tools,3) distributing the questionnaires to society in order to see how far their undesrstanding about the water hyacinth process into biogas before training and after training.This activity give positive impacts to the mothers of empowering family welfare (PKK), they are: 1) there is an increasing of their knowledge and craftsmanship about how to process water hyacinth into biogas. It can be seen from the result of the questionnaires before and after training. 2) The spread information to society about the utilizing water hyacinth process into biogas is increased especially in the village of Kayu Tanduk Tanah Datar. Abstract

Compost has some advantages, improving soil physical properties, chemical properties, and biological properties. It happens because its characteristics contain nutrients in varying types and amounts depending on the original material, provide nutrients slowly (slow release) and in limited quantities, and have the main function of improving soil fertility and health. The pile of organic waste from the Koto Baru market directly impacts the environment to their community. This Community Service Program aims to increase the knowledge and skills of target communities about processing vegetable waste from the Koto Baru market into the solid and liquid-friendly environment of organic fertilizers. The target people of this activity were PKK Jorong Subarang Nagari Koto Baru women in particular and people who wrote Jorong Subarang Nagari Koto Baru. The methods used in this service were socialization of the processing of vegetable waste from the Koto Baru market into the solid and liquid-solid and liquid friendly environment of organic fertilizers, distribution of practical manuals for assembling tools for making solid and liquid organic fertilizer from vegetable waste, distributing initial questionnaires to online socialization. This activity had positive impacts on these PKK women, including providing knowledge of PKK women about the use of organic vegetable waste from the Koto Baru market to become a POP friendly environment and POC, the dissemination of information on the use of vegetable waste from the Koto Baru market became a solid and liquid friendly environmental of organic fertilizer in Jorong Subarang Nagari Koto Baru, Tanah Datar Regency.

Abstract

Dalam  pelaksanaan  proyek  konstruksi  tepat waktu,  dapat dipastikan menguntungkan  kedua  belah  pihak,  oleh  sebab  itu  perusahaan  yang  baik  akan  selalu berusaha melaksanakan sesuai waktu yang telah ditetapkan atau berusaha meminimalkan keterlambatan  dengan  memilih  tindakan  koreksi  yang  perlu  dilakukan  dan mengambil keputusan berdasarkan  analisa dari berbagai faktor. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan penelitian untuk mengidentifikasi  dan menganalisa  faktor-faktor  yang mempengaruhi  pelaksanaan proyek.     Hasil  analisa  data  menunjukan  ada  enam  sub  faktor    utama  yang  sangat berpengaruh terhadap kinerja waktu pelaksanaan proyek konstruksi gedung di kota Bukittinggi,   sub faktor tersebut adalah Keterlambatan  pengiriman  Barang dengan nilai Eigen Value sebesar 28,269 %, Kekurangan Bahan Konstruksi dengan nilai Eigen Value sebesar 16,294 %, Kualitas Bahan yang kurang baik dengan nilai Eigen Value sebesar 13,492%, Kerusakan bahan ditempat penyimpanan dengan nilai Eigen Value sebesar 7,796 %, Ketidak tepatan waktu pemesanan dengan nilai Egien Valua sebesar 6,648 %, Keterlambatan pengiriman / penyediaan peralatan dengan nilai Eigen Value sebesar 6,466 % Untuk mengatasi keterlambatan  ini,  pihak - pihak yang  terlibat dalam pembangunan proyek  konstruksi  gedung  harus  melakukan  beberapa  cara atau  strategi  diantaranya    : Penjadwalan  pengiriman  material  yang harus  benar  benar  tersusun  dengan  teratur  dan efektif , mengantisipasi dengan cepat terhadap kekurangan maerial dilapangan,   menjaga kualitas barang yang dikirim ke proyek agar mengikuti spesifikasi yang ada,  menyediakan tempat  penyimpanan  material  yang layak  dan  memadai,  menyusun  jadwal  permintaan material dari lapangan yang tepat, menyediakan peralatan utama yang dibutuhkan sesuai dengan waktu pelaksanaan pekerjaan .Kata Kunci : Management konstruksi, Faktor keterlambatan waktu

Abstract

The choice of a diesel-fueled engine is often a problem among the public because there are often complaints that the old diesel-fueled motors are too wasteful with low house power, and it is often doubtful when buying a new engine with high house power, increasing fuel consumption. large, therefore we carry out testing to eliminate doubts in the community in order to get specifications that are in accordance with good power or power but efficient fuel consumption, therefore to get real and real evidence in the selection it is necessary to test 2 engine units with different house power, different types, and different production times, therefore a test of fuel consumption against time, load against time is carried out, using a 7.5 HP diesel engine with 8 HP provided that this 7.5 HP engine is an old engine and the 8 HP engine is a new engine, after By experimenting with fuel comparisons, it was found that the new engine with a larger house power capacity was in fact more efficient in fuel consumption than the old engine with a capacity of 7.5 HP with an average ratio of about 18.49%.
