Abstract

Background of this study is motivated by the students who have many problems about have no readiness, have no knowledge, and have not been informed about employment opportunities in out of school education. The study aims to reveal that there is a relationship between parental social support and self concept with stability of career decision. The study uses quantitative method of correlational. The Subject of this study is a consisting of 75 people. The research instrument used is a questionnaire and used a Likert scale. The data of this study are analyzed using multiple regression. The results of this study indicate that there is a very significant relationship between social support of parents, Self Concept with Stability of Career Decision.

Abstract

This research was concerned by students’ low motivation on social studies. This research aims to determine the difference of the students’ learning motivation taught using Quantum Teaching and conventional teaching model on social studies. This research applied quasi-experiment with nonequivalent control group design. The samples were taken with simple random sampling technique, with samples as many as 44 students. Analysis of data used t-test. The result showed that the students’ motivation with Quantum Teaching were higher than conventional teaching model on social studies, where by using statistical test, the tvalue was 5,624 and ttable was 2,089 or knowable tvalue> ttable. It can be concluded that Quantum Teaching model has positive effect to improve students’ learning motivation.

Abstract

Reality therapy is a system that is focused on current behavior, it is to help counselees face reality and fulfill basic needs without harming themselves or other individuals. In group counseling with the reality therapy approach the most important thing is to foster responsibility and awareness of the counselee. Basically humans are beings who are responsible for their own behavior and fulfillment of their needs. Emphasis on what group members do is the key to reality as a counseling group.

Abstract

Pendekatan teoretik dalam Konseling dengan menggunakan Pendekatan behavioristic banyak mendapatkan kritik tetapi sekaligus  juga memberikan dukungan. Kritik yang ditujukan kepada pendekatan behavioristik difokuskan pada carapandang terhadap manusia yang berimplikasi pada teknik-teknik konseling yangdigunakan. Perkembangan pendekatan behavioristik kontemporer berusaha untukmenempatkan manusia dalam dimensi yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan konsep tentang manusiapada awal kemunculan behavioristik. Oleh karena itu pendekatan behavioristik menjadi salahsatuunggulan pendekatan yang masih dominan dalam konseling dan psikoterapi. Perkembangan selanjutnya pendekatan ini memiliki pengaruh dominanasi besar dalam target konseling untukmencapaiperubahan pikiran, perasaan dan perilaku.

Abstract

This research is based because of the aggressive behavior shown by the students, especially students who come from a broken home. The purpose of this study is to describe the aggressive behavior that is owned by a student who comes from a broken home in terms of attacking people physically, verbally, and damaging and destroying property and wealth of others. The results of this research shows that in general student’s aggressivebehavior are on average level. Implications of research in guidance and counseling is as the basis for programs to prevent and cope with aggressive behavior that is owned by the students, especially students who come from a broken home. Cooperation with the homeroom teacher mentors, teachers and other school personnel will also help identify students who have an aggressive behavior, especially students who come from a broken home to immediately provided services.

Abstract

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) Approach is one of the ways to change irrational thinking about academic stress and group guidance is an effective service and tools to support the implementation of the REBT approach in order to overcome the students’ academic stress in SMA Negeri 3 Padang. This research was used The Non Equivalent Control Group which was classified in the Quasi Experimental The Subject of this research was 10 students of the experimental group which identified as having very high, high, medium, low and very low academic stress. Instrument of this research was used academic stress scale that has qualified the instrument research, and then analyzed by used Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test and Kolmogorov Smirnov 2 Independent Samples.  The findings of this study show in general that REBT Approach through group guidance was Effective to overcome the students academic stress. In Specific (1) there was a significant difference in scored on the student's academic stress of the experimental group(2) there was significant difference in scored on students’ academic stress in the control group (3) There were significant differences in scored on students’ academic stress in the experimental group which following the REBT approach through group guidance with Control group, which following the REBT Approach without REBT Appoach.

Abstract

Emosi merupakan ekspresi yang dimiliki setiap individu dan disalurkan kepada subjek atau objek tertentu. Berbagai jenis emosi perlu diekspresikan dengan cara yang tepat dalam setiap kondisi demi terwujudnya kehidupan efektif sehari-hari. Ekspresi emosi yang tidak tepat dapat diatasi dengan pendekatan psikologi konseling juga melalui pendekatan religius. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk menggambarkan penggunaan terapi status ego berbasis islami dalam membantu pengendalian emosi konseli melalui layanan konseling perorangan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah seorang laki-laki berusia 24 tahun yang memiliki masalah pengendalian emosi akibat pengalaman traumatis di masa lalu. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara konseling, dan dokumentasi. Treatment yang dilakukan pada konseli menggunakan terapi status ego dengan orientasi islami. Hasilnya, klien mengalami perubahan dalam mengekspresikan emosi negatif yang mengalami konflik menjadi normal dan dapat diterima secara normatif. Penggunaan layanan konseling perorangan dengan terapi status ego berbasis islami ini dapat diterapkan pada klien untuk mampu memaknai dengan jelas emosinya dan dapat menyalurkannya dengan perilaku yang dapat diterima. Emotions are expressions that each individual has and are channeled to a particular subject or object. Various types of emotions need to be expressed in the right way in every condition for the realization of effective everyday life. Emotional expressions that are not right can be overcome by counseling psychology approaches also through religious approaches. This study intends to illustrate the use of Islamic-based ego status therapy in assisting emotional control of counselees through individual counseling services. The method used in this research is a case study. The subject in this study was a 24-year-old male who had emotional control problems due to traumatic experiences in the past. Data collection techniques are done by observation, counseling interviews, and documentation. Treatment is carried out on counselees using ego status therapy with Islamic orientation. As a result, clients experience changes in expressing negative emotions that experience conflict to be normal and can be accepted normatively. The use of individual counseling services with Islamic-based ego status therapy can be applied to clients to be able to clearly interpret their emotions and can channel them with acceptable behavior.

Abstract

Pengetahuan pada hakikatnya merupakan segenap apa yang kita ketahui tentang sesuatu objek tertentu termasuk kedalamnya adalah ilmu, sikap jenis pengetahuan mempunyai ciri-ciri yang spesifik mengenai apa (ontologiI) bagaimana (epistemologi) dan untuk apa(aksiologi). Pada sejarahnya dulu masyarakat tidak mengetahui gejala alam yang tidak bisa diramalkan oleh manusia, mereka memberikan penalaran bahwa dewa hujan marah karena mereka tidak memberikan sajen pada dewa sehingga datang nya sebuah gejala alaam. Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah memberikan penambahan pembelajaran bagi calon guru bk dan konselor agar nantinya ketika di satuan pendidikan mampu mengaktualisasaikan kemampuan yang dimilikinya dan berguna bagi klien yang membutuhkan bantuannya.

Abstract

Every human being must have problems, whether those problems as the implications in addressing a less conductive environment and person environment who could not afford to be organized so that resulted in the birth of the abnormal behaviors. Gestalt counseling approach wanted improve individuals by focusing on the present perspective, through the projection of the past phenomenon with the present condition. In gestalt group counseling, group member can make use of their presence in the group to channel and express their thoughts, feelings and behavior so far that is problematic. To be able to achieve effective and efficient group activities, a gestalt group leader must be able to carry out activities according to the stages of forming group counseling.

Abstract

Caregiver pasien Alzheimer memiliki beberapa dampak psikologis yaitu stress dan depresi. Diperlukan suatu intervensi konseling untuk membantu caregiver pasien Alzheimer agar lebih dapat meregulasi diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki secara cermat tentang proses penggunaan teknik reframing dan self reward dalam konseling perorangan terhadap konseli yang merupakan caregiver pasien Alzheimer. Subjek penelitian adalah seorang konseli wanita yang berusia 20 tahun yang tinggal di daerah Depok, subjek bekerja sebagai guru, dan memiliki nenek penderita Alzheimer. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kualitatif dengan desain penelitian studi kasus. Data-data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dalam bentuk konseling online, observasi terhadap respon saat proses konseling, dokumentasi berupa catatan harian konseli, dan mengamati materi visual berupa foto konseli. Analisis data dilakukan dengan pendekatan menurut Cresswell yang meliputi enam langkah yaitu; 1) mempersiapkan data mentah, 2) mengolah dan mempersiapkan data untuk dianalisis, 3) membaca keseluruhan data, 4) meng-coding data, 5) menghubungkan tema/ deskripsi, 6) menginterpretasi tema/ deskripsi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses penggunaan teknik reframing dan self reward dalam konseling perorangan dapat diikuti dengan baik oleh konseli. Proses konseling tersebut juga memberikan perubahan yang positif pada diri konseli terutama dalam memilih koping stres sebagai caregiver pasien Alzheimer. Alzheimer's patient caregivers have several psychological effects, namely stress and depression. A counseling intervention is needed to help caregivers of Alzheimer's patients to be more self-regulating. This study aims to carefully investigate the process of using reframing and self reward techniques in individual counseling of clients who are Alzheimer's patient caregivers. The research subject is a 20 year old female client who lives in the Depok area, the subject works as a teacher and has a grandmother with Alzheimer's. The research method used in this research is a qualitative method with a case study research design. Research data were collected through interviews in the form of online counseling, observation of responses during the counseling process, documentation in the form of client diaries, and observing visual material in the form of client photos. Data analysis was carried out with an approach according to Cresswell which includes six steps, namely; 1) preparing raw data, 2) processing and preparing the data for analysis, 3) reading the entire data, 4) coding the data, 5) connecting themes / descriptions, 6) interpreting themes / descriptions. The results showed that the process of using reframing and self modeling techniques in individual counseling was well followed by clients
