Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of applying learning objects based on Articulate Storyline 3 on student cognitive competence in the Basic Computer System course in the Informatics Engineering Education Study Program at the Ganesha University of Education. This type of research was descriptive quantitative with a pre-experimental research design involving one experimental class. The populations used in this study were all semester 1 students of the Informatics Engineering Education study program in the Basic Computer Systems course in the odd semester of the 2020-2021 academic year. Random sampling was using a simple random sampling technique. The average pretest result was 57.12, and the posttest average is 79.81. The paired pretest-posttest t-test resulted in the Sig. equal to 0.000, which indicates that there is a significant difference in the average pretest and posttest results. The percentage of student responses to the learning model is 64.19. This shows that self-confidence in learning objects based on Articulate Storyline 3 on student cognitive abilities "Very Practical". The results of the N-Gain value showed a proportion of 60%. It can be said that the application of learning objects based on Articulate Storyline 3 has a significant effect on the cognitive abilities of the students, cognitive ability increases quite effective, and the category of student response is very positive.

Abstract

Visualizing something abstract into a concrete object can help students improve their mastery of concepts in learning. The purpose of this study is to visualize the stages of the educational research methodology into an animation infographic media. The method used refers to the instructional development model. The target subjects of this study were students of informatics engineering education study program who had taken courses in educational research methodology. In order to get valid, practical, and effective media, several tests were carried out, such as formative evaluation and effectiveness testing with Hake formula. The results show that the dynamic infographic media produced has gone through expert judgment as follows. (1) Testing by content experts score 1 (very high), testing by the learning design experts scored 0.92 (very high), and testing by learning media experts scored 0.90 (very high). (2) The result obtained from the practicality testing is 86.5%, or it is included in the practical category. (3) The testing of the effectiveness of using the Hake formula obtained N-gain results of 0.8, which belongs to the effective category. It shows that animation infographic media produced is valid, practical, and effective to be used in improving the concept mastery of the stages of educational research methodology in informatics engineering education study program.

Abstract

VoIP is a communication technology device that is used by companies and homes to communicate. So far, there are several shortcomings of VoIP that may impact the real conditions in the field, so it is necessary to have a combination of routing protocols that can cover the shortcomings of both the VoIP application and the routing protocol. This study aims to conduct a comparative study of the performance of mixed routing protocols with single routing and to test IPv4 and IPv6 using semi-mesh topology and mesh wireless network topology in VoIP applications. This study uses the OPNET Riverbed Modeler Academic Edition 17.5 simulation method with a design and analysis model that includes the stages of create network model,modeling, application, profile and failure / recovery configuration, choose statistics, run simulation, view and analyze the results. The results showed that the combination of EIGRP-IGRP-ISIS-OSPF-RIPv2 and RIPv2-ISIS-EIGRP provided good research results and covered the weaknesses of RIPv2, IS-IS and EIGRP compared to single routing protocols, both in semi-mesh and wireless mesh topologies. network.mixed routing protocol. The addition of the variance of the comparison between IPv4 and IPv6 based on a single routing protocol also shows significant results, where both IPv4 and IPv6 in the semi-mesh topology and the mesh wireless network are in a range partly in good and very good ranges with the rest being sufficient, bad and very bad.

Abstract

This is an initial research about development of appliance server prototype for middle industry. The main objective of this study is to analyze and design an alternative server as a solution to providing server device on a small industry. The prorotype used by small industry to implement their information system applications. This study uses ADDIE development method. ADDIE phase that has been used is analysis, design, and some evaluation of them (ADE). The result of analyze is user needs analysis, hardware requirements analysis and software requirement analysis. The result of design is network topology design, hardware architecture design, validation test instrument, feasibility testing instrument, performance testing instrument, evaluation of prototype feasibility instrument and evaluation of server performance instrument. In the future, the result of this study can be used as reference for development and implementation of appliance server in middle industry.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Penerapan manajemen bandwidth menggunakan metode Hierarchical Token Bucket (HTB) pada layanan hotspot mikrotik Undiksha. (2) Hasil pengujian kualitas layanan internet dari parameter Quality of Service (QoS) yang sudah diterapkan menggunakan metode Hierarchical Token Bucket (HTB).Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah menggunakan pendekatan Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC), dengan melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu analisis, desain, simulasi, implementasi, monitoring, dan manajemen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) Penerapan manajemen bandwidth HTBpada router mikrotik dengan menggabungkan layanan hotspot mikrotik, sudah berjalan dengan baik, yang dibuktikan dengan fungsi dari metode HTB bisa berjalan dengan baik. (2) Hasil pengukuran dengan menggunakan 2 metode manajemen bandwidth, diperoleh hasil rata-rata download dan upload dari metode HTB lebih besar dibandingkan dengan metode simple queue. Dan parameter packet loss, throughput, delay  dan  jitter yang dilakukan uji menggunakan aplikasi wireshark menerangkan bahwa metode HTB mendapatkan nilai rata-rata yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan metode simple queue.

Abstract

Tujuan jangka panjang yang ingin dicapai dari hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai feedback atau masukan yang dapat memperbaiki kinerja Jurusan dalam hal mencetak tenaga ahli dalam bidang pendidikan teknik informatika maupun tenaga praktisi yang siap digunakan di lapangan. Target yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kualitas lulusan jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Informatika terhadap pengguna lulusan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survey deskriptif, dengan cara menghimpun data melalui angket yang disebar ke lulusan dan pengguna lulusan. Rencana kegiatan meliputi 1) identifikasi masalah, 2) merumuskan masalah, 3) menentukan tujuan dan manfaat penelitian, 4) menentukan studi pustaka/kajian teori, 5) mendesain metode penelitian, 6) pengambilan data yang diawali dengan menghubungi/koordinasi dengan alumni yang telah dipergunakan oleh pengguna lulusan (telah bekerja), 7) menganalisis data yang akan menghasilkan gambaran tentang kualitas lulusan di mata pengguna lulusan, dan yang terakhir 8) pembuatan laporan penelitian. Penelitian ini akan dilakukan di Jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Informatika selama 8 bulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa gambaran tentang lulusan Jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Informatika di mata pengguna lulusan. Berdasarkan respon dari pengguna lulusan terhadap kualitas lulusan secara menyeluruh, didapat bahwa kualitas lulusan berada pada rentangan baik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari aspek lokasi bekerja, waktu tunggu kerja, penilaian lulusan terhadap aspek-aspek pembelajaran yang dimiliki Jurusan PTI, relevansi kompetensi yang dimiliki lulusan terhadap kebutuhan dunia kerja, dan relevansi peran jurusan terhadap kompetensi yang dimiliki lulusan terhadap kebutuhan dunia kerja yang kesemuanya rata-rata pada rentangan baik. Kata-kata kunci : penelitian survey, kualitas lulusan perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were (1) to generate a design and implement the result of the design for the development of e-modul assisted CAI media on the subject of photography for tenth grade of Desain Komunikasi Visual at SMK Negeri 1 Sukasada, (2) to know the responses of the teacher and students toward development of e-modul assisted CAI media on the subject of photography for tenth grade of Desain Komunikasi Visual at SMK Negeri 1 Sukasada. The learning model that used in the development of electronic modul was project based learning. The type of research used in this study was the Research and Development (R&D) using ADDIE development model. The subjects of this study were tenth grade students of Desain Komunikasi Visual at SMK Negeri 1 Sukasada in academic year 2016/2017. In order to know the response of the teacher and students of e-module photography, questionnaire was used to obtain the data. The results showed that: (1) The design and implementation of e-module assisted CAI media which have been developed on the photography course for tenth grade of Desain Komunikasi Visual at SMK Negeri 1 Sukasada was successfully applied by some of the tests conducted. (2) The results of the data analysis showed that the mean score obtained from teacher’s responses was 47, if it converted into a table of classification response; it was classified as the category of very positive. Meanwhile, the mean score obtained from the students' response of the development of e-module, was 67,79, if it converted into a table of classification response, student responses classified as category of very positive.Keywords: E-Module, Photography, Project Based Learning
