Abstract

Abstract: A Study on the ectracted and SPF value determination  of tamanu oil from Cilacap was used UV-Spectrophotometer.The purposes of this study were to extraction and SPF value determination of tamanu oil using UV-Spectrophotometer. The method used in this study consist of plant determination, Tamanu oil was extracted using soxhletation, organoleptis evaluation, rendemen measurement, pH measurement, determination of dencity  and followed by determination of its SPF value using UV-Spectrophotometer.The SPF result showed that SPF values of Tamanu oil in various concentration 0.2 mg/ml, 0.25 mg/ml and 0.3mg/ml were respectively  10.34± 0.06, 17.28± 0.02 and 26.07± 0.28. Keyword : tamanu oil, sunscreen, SPF Abstrak: Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang ekstraksi dan penetapan nilai SPF minyak Nyamplung (Calophyllum inophyllum L)  yang berasal dari Cilacap. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengekstraksi dan menetapkan nilai SPF minyak nyamplung secara in vitro dengan metode spektrofotometri. Minyak nyamplung diekstraksi dengan metode sohxletasi, dievaluasi organoleptis secara manual, dihitung rendemen, pengukuran pH menggunakan pH universal, penetapan bobot jenis dengan menggunakan piknometer dan penetapan nilai SPF minyak nyamplung dikerjakan secara in vitro menggunakan spektrofotometer Ultra Violet. Hasil pengujian secara in vitro menunjukkan bahwa nilai SPF minyak nyamplung yang berasal dari Cilacap pada konsentrasi 0,2 mg/ml; 0,25 mg/ml ; 0,3 mg/ml masing-masing  10,34±0,06; 17,28±0,02 dan  26,07±0,28.Kata kunci : minyak nyamplung, tabir surya, SPF
