Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 menyebabkan motivasi belajar siswa SMA Negeri 5 Tuban mengalami penurunan. Selain itu, kompetensi dasar siswa pada mata pelajaran Biologi, khususnya terkait keterampilan masih rendah. Diantaranya tentang materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tumbuhan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan di kehidupan sehari-hari. Sehingga, tim pengabdi mengadakan pelatihan pembuatan inhibitor pertumbuhan tanaman “Absicic Acid Hormone (ABA)” dengan memanfaatkan bahan sederhana dan murah. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan edukasi tentang Covid-19, pelatihan pembuatan Absicic Acid Hormone (ABA), evaluasi, dan pendampingan. Hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa peserta pelatihan sangat antusias mengikuti pelatihan (92.91%). Kegiatan ini juga berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang Absicic Acid Hormone (ABA) dimana sebelum pelatihan hanya 31.11% peserta yang menguasai tentang materi pelatihan dan meningkat menjadi 62.74%.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis kelayakan buku petunjuk praktikum IPA berbasis literasi sains untuk peserta didik kelas V sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan tahap pengembangan yang merujuk pada pemikiran Sukmadinata (2013:169) sehingga tahap pengembangan meliputi: (1) penelitian pendahuluan; (2) perencanaan; (3) pengembangan produk; (4) validasi produk; (5) revisi produk; (6) uji coba; dan (7) penyebarluasan. Validasi produk dilakukan untuk memperoleh kelayakan dari produk yang telah dikembangkan. Instrumen yang digunakan pada tahap validasi adalah lembar validasi yang berisi empat aspekpenilaian yaitu (1) kesesuaian isi; (2) kebahasaan; (3) komponen kegrafikan; dan (4) kesesuaian syarat teknis. Proses penilaian dengan menggunakan lembar validasi dilakukan oleh tiga dosen ahli. Tahapan validasi dilakukan sebelum uji coba terbatas dan uji coba lapangan. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa semua aspek penilaian memperoleh kriteria baik dengan persentase masing-masing aspek sebesar 88,8%; 77,1%; 90,5%; dan 93,6%. Berdasarkan hasil validasi tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa buku petunjuk praktikum IPA berbasis literasi sains untuk peserta didik kelas V sekolah dasar layak digunakan dengan melakukan perbaikan sesuai saran dari validator.

Abstract

Has conducted research that aims to determine the ability of early scientific literacy of students PGSD UNIROW on the concept of IPA consists of seven indicators: 1) identify the scientific opinion is valid 2) perform literature searches were effectively 3) to understand the elements of research design and how it will impact the findings / conclusions 4) make precise graph of the data; 5) solve problems using quantitative skills, including basic statistics; 6) understand and interpret basic statistics; 7) perform inference, prediction, and drawing conclusions based on quantitative data. The study is part of a study of the development of learning tools to improve science literacy. Science literacy proficiency tests were arranged were twenty-five items. Initial capability analyzed scientific literacy is the ability of scientific literacy of students before applied a model that could be expected to develop the ability of science literacy of students. The analysis showed that the literacy skills of students of higher science is an indicator of effective literature searches with a percentage of 40.15%. While the results of the analysis of the ability of scientific literacy of students lower is an indicator of solve problems using quantitative skills, including basic statistics with a percentage of 6.82%. The results obtained in accordance with the results of surve PISA 2003, 2006, 2009 and 2012 and the results of the TIMSS surve 2007dan year 2011 Indonesia demonstrate the ability of students in Indonesia, including in the low category.

Abstract

Based on observation conducted at SDN Ngadirejo II Rengel Tuban, the researcher found that the learning process is still less effective. The students had difficulty in understanding the science material about the energy of sound. It is caused by several factors, one of which is the informtion transfer just use the direct instruction method, the Students opportunity to develop the skills to ask and submit answers are still lacking, so that student learning outcomes under KKM. Therefore, the researcher applied the science process skills approach to improving classroom student learning outcomes. This research used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) as its design, which is each cycle consists of four phases: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. the research Subjects were students in the fourth grade in SDN II Ngadirejo Rengel Tuban, which has 21 students. Data collecting technique is done through tests of learning outcomes with achievement test sheet instruments. The indicators of the successfullness of the study are measured through the percentage of individual completeness and classroom. The results showed that the students' learning outcomes increased with the percentage of classical completeness by 42,85% in prestudy to 66,67% in the first cycle and 95,23% in the second cycle. The obstacle encountered in the study was that the teachers and students at SDN Ngadirejo II Rengel Tuban were not used to apply the science process skills approach.

Abstract

The general objective of this study was to find a kind of evaluation instrument for scientific literacy oriented toward Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) and the specific purposes of this study were to investigate the validity, effectiveness, and practicality of it. This was a Research & Development study which was simplified into two stages; they are the preliminary stage and the development stage. This study resulted of multiple choice test which the validity was 3,35. The instrument was very effective to be used by students and science concept lectures in Elementary School Education Programmed to describe the profile of scientific literacy. The instrument could practically be used by the students and science concept lecturers in Elementary School Education Programmed based on the positive students and lecturers‟ responses.

Abstract

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education is one of the main supporters of educational services through the development of e-books. The purpose of this activity is to increase teacher competence in utilizing ICT to prepare the 21st century education system in facing the industrial revolution 4.0. This activity uses the community development method through training, mentoring and development in the preparation of e-book learning media. Instrument achievement of implementation indicators using pretest and posttest questionnaires for knowledge and skills of e-book development for teachers at Analysis of the results of achievement using descriptive analysis of the average value and percentage. The average pretest results of participants' abilities in developing e-books are still less visible from the results of less than 11%, very less by 77%, enough by 6%, good 4% and very good by 2% . The average posttest results of participants' ability in developing e-books increased, namely very less and less by 0%, enough by 26%, good by 60% and very good by 14%. The community development method is able to increase the knowledge and skills of teachers in developing e-book learning media

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, it is necessary to choose the right learning strategy. Thus, students' learning motivation does not decrease. This research aimed to describe students' learning motivation in science subjects with Biotechnology material after the strategy of Student Activity-Based Learning was applied. This research is quantitative and descriptive. The research subjects were 64 students of 9th grade SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Bojonegoro for 2020/2021. The research instrument used was a learning motivation questionnaire which contains 20 questions divided into six indicators, namely intrinsic orientation goals, extrinsic orientation goals, task values, trust control for learning, self-confidence, and anxiety levels. Measurement of each question uses a Likert scale, namely (1) strongly disagree, (2) disagree, (3) undecided, (4) agree, and (5) strongly agree. The results of the research were calculated using the percentage and average score. Furthermore, it is described in the form of categories. The results showed that the average score of the first indicator to 6th in a row were 3.78; 3.29; 3.74; 3.61; 3.45; and 3.56. The average score of all indicators of student learning motivation was 3.57, which has a good category. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the student's learning motivation in the science subject with Biotechnology material is categorized as good after applying the strategy of Student Activity-Based Learning.

Abstract

Literasi sains dijadikan salah satu tolak ukur untuk mengetahui kualitas pendidikan dan sumber daya manusia suatu negara. Kemampuan literasi sains Indonesia tergolong rendah jika dibandingkan dengan negara-negara di Asia lainnya. Penelitian awal telah dilakukan pada peserta didik kelas V SDN Sidorejo 1 Tuban dan menunjukkan kemampuan literasi sains rendah. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Putik Berisi dan meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan 7 tahap. Namun, dalam jurnal ini difokuskan pada tahap ke 6 yaitu uji coba terbatas dengan 10 anak. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar tes kemampuan literasi sains, dan lembar angket respon peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian khususnya pada uji coba terbatas dan analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa, PUTIK BERISI yang telah dikembangkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik kelas V SDN Sidorejo 1 Tuban. Berdasarkan data, Enam dari tujuh indikator kemampuan literasi sains yang diteliti mengalami peningkatan, sedangkan satu indikator kemampuan literasi sains tidak mengalami peningkatan maupun penurunan. Peningkatan terbesar terdapat pada indikator ke tujuh, yaitu dari 10% meningkat menjadi 100%. Respon peserta didik memberikan hasil yang positif terhadap pengembangan PUTIK BERISI yang ditunjukkan dari hasil respon lebih dari 80% untuk masing-masing indikator.

Abstract

Upaya dalam mewujudkan pembelajaran yang berkualitas dalam menghadapi abad 21 maka perlu dilakukan peran guru atau calon guru yang memiliki kulaifikasi mempunyai kemampuan 21st century skills. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan awal 21st century skills sehingga dapat digunakan untuk memperbaiki kualitas pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan 30 mahasiswa sebagai sampel. Kemampuan 21st century skills meliputi critical thinking, communication, collaboration, dan creativity. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan awal 21st century skills mahasiswa PGSD Unirow masih menunjukkan hasil rendah. Hasil ini ditunjukkan dari kemampuan rata-rata untuk berpikir kritis mahasiswa menunjukkan hasil rata-rata kurang dari 30%, kemampuan komunikatif kurang dari 50%, kemapuan kolaboratif dan berpikir kreaatif kurang dari 45%. Adapun solusi yang dapat ditawarkan yaitu perlunya pembelajaran melalui model Problem-Based Learning (PBL), model cooperative learning dan model pembelajaran lain yang dpat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreatif, kolaboratif dan komunikatif mahasiswa.

Abstract

21st century skills include critical thinking, creative, collaborative and communicative. Early 21st century skills still show low results. The ability to think creatively is one of the important skills in 21st century abilities in addition to other abilities. The research aims to improve the ability to think creatively through Android-based cooperative learning. This study uses an experimental research type, a pre-experimental research design, and a one group pretest posttest design type. Analysis of research data in the form of creative thinking ability test sheets using indicators (1) Fluency, (2) Flexibility, and (3) Novelty (novelty). Data analysis uses the normalized gain score formula. The results of the study concluded that (1) the results of the pretest indicators of fluency, flexibility, and novelty were 2.85; 1.71; and 1.04. (2) the results of the posttest indicators of fluency, flexibility, and renewal respectively were 3.14; 3.02; and 3.35. (3) Students' creative thinking skills can be improved on the three indicators through android-based cooperative learning. Indicators of fluency and flexibility obtain moderate results with successive results of 0.50 and 0.54. The novelty indicator gives the highest result, which is 0.78.
