Abstract

A security camera must be easy to control, because users need to be able to monitor and control it even when they are in another place. To accommodate this need, security cameras are generally controlled by a computer, then the data is sent to a web server that can be accessed by users. However, the system is quite complicated because it still requires a computer, as well as the additional cost of renting a website server. In this study, computer functions were replaced with the ESP32 microcontroller, and the website server as well as the application interface was replaced with the Telegram BOT. The ESP32 microcontroller was chosen because its function is almost the same as a computer, while the Telegram BOT can be used free of charge. This study focuses on testing the success rate of the system in responding to commands given via the Telegram BOT, with the type of command connecting the Telegram BOT with ESPCam, turning on or off the LED flash, taking pictures, and the combination. Based on the tests that have been carried out for all existing command combinations, with each test being repeated 25 times, it was found that the success rate of the system reached 84.67%.

Abstract

The development of transportation technology is increasing every day; it impacts the number of transportation and their users. The increase positively impacts the economy's growth but also has a negative impact, such as accidents and crime on the highway. In 2018, the number of accidents in Indonesia reached 109,215 cases, with a death rate of 29,472 people, which was mostly caused by the late treatment of the casualties. On the other hand, in the same year, there were 8,423 mugs, and 90,757 snitches cases in Indonesia, with only 23.99% of cases reported. This low reporting rate is mostly caused by the lack of awareness and knowledge about where to report. Therefore, a quick response surveillance system is needed. In this study, an audio-based accident and crime detection system was built using a neural network. To improve the system's robustness, we enhance our dataset by mixing it with certain noises which likely to occur on the road. The system was tested with several parameters of segment duration, bandpass filter cut-off frequency, feature extraction, architecture, and threshold values to obtain optimal accuracy and performance. Based on the test, the best accuracy was obtained by convolutional neural network architecture using 200ms segment duration, 0.5 overlap ratio, 100Hz and 12000Hz as bandpass cut-off frequency, and a threshold value of 0.9. By using mentioned parameters, our system gives 93.337% accuracy. In the future, we hope to implement this system in a real environment.

Abstract

Transformasi era digital 4.0 dan penggunaan media sosial di masyarakat, terutama para remaja milenial khususnya mahasiswa memberikan pengaruh transformasi keterbukaan data personal yang mudah didapatkan. Hal ini disebabkan oleh beberapa aplikasi yang didownload dan terpasang di handphone para milenial, dimana kurangnya awareness-nya dengan tidak menghiraukan aturan kesepakatan dalam permulaan instalasi setiap aplikasi atau kadang kurangnya pemahaman aturan kesepakatan aplikasi yang sering disediakan dalam bahasa inggris. Bahkan tidak sedikit, mahasiswa yang tidak sengaja terjebak dalam pinjaman online dengan menyerahkan data pribadi dan informasi personal lainnya dalam mengakses data didalam handphonenya. Kurangnya pengetahuan terkait literasi digital dalam pengamanan data pribadi sehingga dapat menyebabkan penggunaan data pribadi yang tidak sesuai harapan. Adanya pembelajaran seperti pengenalan etika berinternet, pengenalan dasar ethical hacking terkait pengenalan protocol dan spoofing serta pembagian informasi seputar keamanan aset informasi sangat dibutuhkan. Dengan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berbasis pembelajaran digitalisasi ini, edukasi digital terkait peningkatan literasi digital keamanan data pribadi yang dikhususkan bagi Mahasiswa UNUSA agar memahami pentingnya menjaga data pribadi agar tidak disalahgunakan oleh orang-orang yang tidak bertanggung jawab. Walaupun penggunaan teknologi dan keterbukaan akses internet khususnya di Indonesia belum bisa sepenuhnya mewadahi keamanan siber baik informasi dan komunikasi tetapi semua bisa dilakukan secara bertahap sehingga masyarakat khususnya para milenial untuk belajar etika berinternet dan pembelajaran khusus pengenalan dasar ethical hacking untuk lebih mengenal cara pengamanan data sehingga bisa menjadi solusi di era digital yang serba terbuka.

Abstract

Virtual reality and augmented reality technology are notforeign to students, in contrast to students at the Al MuinSyarif Hidayatullah Islamic Boarding School where the use oftechnology and knowledge related to learning innovationswith immersive technology is still common and new forthem. This technology can increase student learningmotivation because the design of the technology used canattract the curiosity of its users, in this case students. Theimplementation method used in this activity is divided intothree stages, namely pre-service activities which include sitesurveys, distribution of pre-test questionnaires andintroductory discussions, service implementation activitiesconsisting of VRAR technology socialization and VRARintroduction and post-service activities which includeevaluation of service activities and distribution of post-testquestionnaires. Abstract

The objective of this study to identify Good Corporate Governance and Tax Planning on Firm Value using secondary data taken from the annual financial statements of companies listed on IDX during the 2017-2020 period. The method in this study is purposive sampling, which consists of 11 companies that have been selected for sample. Independent variables in this study are managerial ownership, institutional ownership, independent board of commissioners, audit committee, tax planning. Dependent variable use in this study is firm value. The data analysis method used multiple linear regression using SPPS 25 software with a significant level of 0.05. The results of this study indicate that managerial ownership and institutional ownership have a positive effect on firm value, the board of commissioners has a negative effect on firm value, audit committees and tax planning have no effect on firm value.

Abstract

Virtual Reality (VR) technology is a computer technology capable of replicating a real environment into an immersive world. VR is also capable of simulating the user's physical condition so that they are able to interact. In the world of education as a support for educational activities, especially for vocational high school students who are more dominant in practicum, this study aims to show the results of the early stages of implementing Fiber Optic (FO) learning support modules. The module development process is carried out in several stages: scenario preparation, 3D asset development with low poly optimization, scenario integration with 3D assets, triggering every interaction, multiuser settings, and implementation. To build a good VR Fiber Optic application, measurements using OVR metrics are carried out. This measurement aims to determine the reliability of the application that affects the user experience. In the OVR metric measurement, the highest FPS value is 43, and the lowest FPS value is 27. The value obtained is good enough to run VR applications with low poly asset composition. Measurement of the level of user satisfaction is also carried out by using the PIECES Framework. From the measurement results, the value of each variable is in the range of 3.4 - 4.91, which means that users are satisfied with the VR FO application as a virtual learning support module. This research shows that Virtual Reality technology can provide an overview of practicum that is easy to access and not limited by space and material.

Abstract

Efforts to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus have underscored the critical importance of mask-wearing as a preventive measure. Concurrently, road traffic accidents, often resulting from human error, have emerged as a significant contributor to global mortality rates. This study endeavors to address these pressing issues by employing advanced Deep Learning techniques to detect mask usage and identify drowsy eyes, thus contributing to the prevention of COVID-19 and accidents due to driver fatigue. To achieve this objective, an embedded system was developed, utilizing the integration of hardware and software components. The system effectively utilizes MobileNetV2 for face mask detection and employs HOG and SVM algorithms for drowsy eye detection. By seamlessly integrating these detection systems into a single embedded device, the simultaneous detection of both mask usage and drowsy eyes is made possible. The results demonstrates a commendable accuracy rate of 80% for face mask detection and 75% for drowsy eye detection. Furthermore, the mask detection component exhibits a remarkable training accuracy of 99%, while the drowsy eye detection component demonstrates an 80% training accuracy, affirming the system's efficacy in precisely identifying masks and drowsy eyes. The proposed embedded system offers potential applications in enhancing road safety. Its capability to effectively detect drowsy eyes and mask usage in car drivers contributes significantly to preventing accidents due to driver fatigue. Additionally, it plays a vital role in mitigating COVID-19 transmission by promoting widespread mask-wearing among individuals. This study exemplifies the potential of integrating Deep Learning methodologies with embedded systems, thus paving the way for future research and development in the realm of driver safety and virus prevention.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang sangat cepat dan pesat saat ini menjadi tuntutan dalam dunia pendidikan untuk selalu menyesuaikan perkembangan teknologi terhadap usaha untuk peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti akan membuat sistem informasi pengelolaan data siswa di MI Nahdlatul Ulama Hal ini dikarenakan bahwa kinerja sistem yang ada di MI Nahdlatul Ulama saat ini masih berjalan lambat dan untuk pengolahan data siswa dan pendaftaran peserta didik baru. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan metode SDLC (System Development Life Cycle), metode ini merupakan metode dasar dalam pembuatan sistem informasi yang dimulai dari pemodelan proses bisnisnya, analisa sistem, desain, pembuatan sistem dan pengujian, untuk pemrogramannya menggunakan bahasa PHP dan MySql denganframework codeigniter. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Sistem Informasi Pengelolahan Data Siswa MI Nahdlatul Ulama.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 yang datang memaksa instansi pendidikan untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran daring. ProgramStudi (prodi) S1 Sistem Informasi Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya merupakan salah satunya. Akan tetapiberdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan Kaprodi S1 Sistem Informasi disebutkan bahwa sesuai dengan data pdpt unusaper 1 Maret sampai 18 Mei 2020, diketahui bahwa persentase capaian pembelajaran daringnya masih 87,5 %.Kondisi ini memperlihatkan bahwa kesiapan Prodi Sistem Informasi belum 100 %. Oleh karena itu, tujuan utamapenelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan studi kesiapan pembelajaran daring di prodi S1 Sistem Informasi. Hal inimengingat analisis kesiapan diperlukan sebagai titik awal dalam evaluasi pelaksanaan pendidikan di era digital.Penelitian dilakukan dalam 5 tahap, yaitu eksplorasi kondisi perkuliahan offline dan online, identifikasi perubahan,analisis kesiapan, dan identifikasi respon mahasiswa dan dosen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadiperubahan seperti pembuatan kebijakan baru, penggunaan teknologi seperti zoom untuk menggantikan tatap mukalangsung, penyediaan infrastruktur berupa perangkat keras, lunak, dan jaringan, serta penyediaan anggaran untukpembelian kuota internet dari sisi finansial. Status kesiapan prodi S1 sistem informasi dalam pelakasanaanpembelajaran daring adalah Not Ready, hanya membutuhkan persiapan beberapa aspek saja. Sebagai pelengkap,diketahui bahwa respon mahasisa dan dosen untuk kesiapan prodi. Sebanyak 60,9% setuju bahwa Prodi SistemInformasi mempunyai visi mengenai pembelajaran daring dan 54,7% memilih tidak setuju bahwa prodi sisteminformasi mempunyai rencana jangka panjang untuk pelaksnaan pembelajaran daring. Sebanyak 43,8% tidak setujubahwa Prodi Sistem Informasi telah menyediakan program untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan. Sebanyak 62,5%memilih netral terhadap penyediaan infrastruktur. Sebanyak 60,9% memilih setuju bahwa Prodi Sistem Informasisudah menyediakan teknologi yang terintegrasi. Sebanyak 59,4% memilih netral bahwa Prodi Sistem Informasi telahmenyediakan anggaran untuk pembelajaran daring.

Abstract

Civil registration and vital statistics (CRVS) is known as an essential supporting system for effective policy-making and service delivery. Its primary purpose is establishing an individual's legal identity and vital events to ensure all citizens get their rights well. Furthermore, an advanced level of CRVS is equipped with a forecasting system to serve more useful data. This paper discusses the potential benefits and challenges of using Metabase and Bantu Warga as civil ministry support systems. The spatial data visualization system using open-source Metabase ran well and resulted in many visualization geospatial maps like birth, marriage and divorce, education, and employment. The forecasting autoregression model configuration and cumulative sum dataset reach the best error result in 1056618. The other aspects, like the self-isolation management system, civil documents classification system, and OCR system, have a good result.
