Abstract

The students mathematical understanding is important to master. Mathematical understanding is also one of the goals of each material presented by the teacher, because the teacher is a guide to achieve the expected concept. Although already has the ability of a mathematical language is needed, but the belief in the field of this ability is still not fully reinforced by students. This study aims to examine the comparison of the ability to understand mathematically students who apply Algebrator software-assisted learning and students who use regular learning and examine differences in the ability to improve students mathematical understanding of Algebrator-assisted learning software and students using ordinary learning. The research method used in this research is quasi experiment with non-equivalent control group design (unequal control group design). The result of hypothesis test shows that there is a difference in the ability of understanding of mathematics significantly between the students with high, medium and low ability level. This is possible by the improvement of mathematical ability of students triggered by Algebrator software-assisted mathematics learning which in the implementation of learning always pay attention to students centered

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the interaction between the RME approach and conventional with the initial ability of mathematics in improving students' mathematical literacy. The research method used in this study was quasi-experimental with the design of a non-equivalent control group design. Data retrieval is done through mathematical literacy tests. The data analysis method that the researchers conducted was the Two-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) using the general linear univariate analysis model. The subjects in the study were grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 3 Kuningan, which numbered 309 students. The sampling technique was carried out using purposive sampling technique, taking into account the homogeneity of Prior Mathematical Learning Abilitystudents'in both classes determined by giving initial tests to students. The research sample amounted to 65 students, which were divided into two classes. The results of the study showed that there was no interaction between RME learning and the conventional category of students 'ability to students' mathematical literacy. However, for each level of students’ initial mathematical abilities, an increase in students' mathematical literacy skills with learning using the RME learning assisted by Adobe Flash CS6 is higher than students who obtain conventional learning.

Abstract

Mathematics cannot be separated from everyday life. The use of mathematical concepts in cultural activities can be studied through the ethnomathematics program. However, ethnomathematics research may not be able to provide noticeable results, especially in constructing mathematical modelling for pedagogical purposes. Ethnomodelling later became one of the concepts introduced as an approach in ethnomathematics research. Based on the cultural aspect, the ability to predict a good day in farming is included in the holistic concept of culture because it belongs to the knowledge system and belief system (religion) in the universal element of culture. The research was conducted using an ethnomethodological approach and a realist ethnographic design. Based on this, this research was conducted to describe the ability of the Cigugur indigenous people in Kuningan Regency to predict what days are considered good to start farming activities. Data were collected by using observation techniques, in-depth interviews, documentation, and field notes. Data analysis techniques are carried out in stages through content analysis, triangulation, and pattern search. Based on the study of ethnomathematics, research that is able to describe the mathematical ideas and practices of the indigenous Cigugur community can be classified into several fundamental mathematical dimensions including counting, finding, measuring, designing, and explaining. The use of the ethnomodelling approach in research can describe several mathematical concepts used by the concepts of numbers, sets, relations, congruence, modulo, and mathematical modelling.

Abstract

Students' mathematical literacy abilities are important to master, especially to formulate mathematical concepts that can be used in everyday life. Mathematical literacy has become an important issue lately to be developed in the study of mathematics learning. However, mathematical literacy has not become the main goal in the implementation of the learning carried out. The purpose of this study was to examine the comparison of students 'mathematical literacy skills with Adobe Flash Professional CS6-based RME learning with conventional learning and to examine the comparison of improvement in students' mathematical literacy skills with Adobe Flash Professional CS6-based RME learning with conventional learning. The research method used in this study was quasi-experimental with the design of a non-equivalent control group design. The results of the two research hypotheses were accepted. It is possible that the increase in students' mathematical literacy skills is triggered by the Adobe Flash Professional CS6-based RME learning which in the implementation of learning always focuses on self regulated learning.

Abstract

TRAINING FOR MAKING FLASH-BASED MATHEMATICS LEARNING MEDIA USING ANIMATE ADOBE FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS IN KUNINGAN DISTRICT. The purpose of the community partnership program for MGMP teachers at the Kuningan Cluster and Luragung Clusters in Kuningan Regency is to improve teacher competency in creating, developing and implementing flash-based mathematics learning media using Adobe Animate. The problem faced by partners is in implementing mathematics learning in schools that are still dominated through the use of textbooks, so that the teacher’s ability to demonstrate mathematical concepts in learning is still lacking. This was allegedly due to the limited ability of teachers to use learning media, especially ICT-based media. Mathematical MGMP SMP Kuningan cluster and Luragung cluster in Kuningan Regency have a sufficient number of teacher members, but in terms of competence still needs improvement. Understanding of computer-based learning is still very minimal because mathematics teachers have not received specific training on ICT-based mathematics learning. To overcome this condition an activity was packaged in the form of training on the development of flash-based mathematics learning devices using adobe animate for the mathematics MGMP of the Brass Cluster and Luragung Group. This activity was carried out through the following stages: 1) the provision of flash-based mathematics learning and development workshops using adobe animate; 2) mentoring in making flash-based mathematics learning devices using adobe animate; 3) mentoring implementation of flash-based mathematics learning devices using adobe animate; and 4) evaluation and replication.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji secara mendalam peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SMP yang memperoleh model pembelajaran Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) berbantuan GeoGebra dibandingkan dengan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SMP yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Kuningan Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan berdasarkan pertimbangan (sampling purposive). Kelas VIII F sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII E sebagai kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen adalah kelas yang memperoleh model pembelajaran Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) berbantuan GeoGebra sedangkan kelas kontrol adalah kelas yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes yang selanjutnya dianalisis dengan uji perbedaan rata-rata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) berbantuan GeoGebra lebih baik dibandingkan dengan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

Multimedia memberikan sarana yang tepat bagi siswa untuk dapat mengungkapkan ide matematika dalam bentuk grafik, tabel, gambar dengan menggunakan animasi yang menarik dan interaktif. Kemampuan mengekspresikan ide matematika merupakan salah satu indikator representasi. Dengan demikian, pemanfaatan multimedia siswa untuk mendapatkan kemampuan representasi matematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perbedaan rata-rata kemampuan representasi siswa setelah pembelajaran diterapkan dengan menggunakan multimedia. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII MTsN 3 Kuningan, sampel diambil berdasarkan teknik purposive kemudian dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu kelas eksperimen 37 siswa dan kelas kontrol sebanyak 35 siswa. Pengolahan data berupa posttest kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol dengan menggunakan uji independent sample t-test. hasil sig.2 tailed diperoleh 0,00 <α dengan α = 0,05. Dengan demikian kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan rata-rata kemampuan siswa yang menggunakan multimedia dalam pembelajaran matematika dibandingkan dengan siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional.
