Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengidentifikasi materi mendengarkan yang digunakan pada Bahasa Inggris untuk pelayanan tata hidangan di Monarch Cruise Line and Hospitality Training Center; (2) mengembangkan materi mendengarkan yang dibutuhkan untuk Bahasa Inggris untuk tata hidangan Monarch Cruise Line and Hospitality Training Center; (3) menguji kualitas materi mendengarkan otentik untuk mahasiswa pelayanan makana dan minuman di Monarch Cruise Line and Hospitality Training Center. Penelitian ini menggunakan disain penelitian dan pengembangan dari Sugiyono (2014). Langkah-langkah disain tersebut, yaitu: mengidentifikasi potensi dan masalah, mengumpulkan data, mendisain produk, memvalidasi disain, merevisi disain, menguji produk. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 25 orang mahasiswa pelayanan makan dan minuman, 3 pengajar Bahasa Inggris untuk pelayanan makanan dan minuman, dan manajer 6 hotel dan 1 villa di departemen pelayanan makanan dan minuman (stakeholders). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan para stakeholder membutuhkan karyawan yang mampu berkomunikasi dalam Bahasa Inggris dalam berbagai situasi di hotel dan restoran. Ada delapan topik utama di dalam materi yang dikembangkan ini, yaitu: menyambut tamu, menangani panggilan telepon, menangani pelayanan kamar, menangani pesanan, menyuguhkan makanan, menangani pembayaran, menangani keluhan, dan memberikan informasi. Kegiatan mendengarkan pada materi pengembangan ini terdiri dari pre-listening, whilst listening dan post listening¸ yang pada tiap akhir unit ditambahkan dengan beberapa kasus yang akan dihadapi di tempat kerja sebagai latihan. Hasil dari penilaian ahli terhadap materi yang dikembangkan ini termasuk kategori sangat baik. Begitu juga pada saat implementasi, menurut pengajar dan mahasiswa, produk yang diimplementasikan sudah sangat baik. Selain itu, materi mendengarkan yang dikembangkan memberikan dampak positif terhadap kemampuan mendengarkan mahasiswa tersebut dengan meningkatnya nilai mereka.Kata Kunci : Bahasa Inggris untuk pelayanan tata hidangan, mendengarkan, materi otentik This study aimed at: (1) identifying listening materials that are used for English for food and beverage service of Monarch Cruise Line and Hospitality Training Center; (2) developing authentic listening materials that are needed for food and beverage service of the training center; (3) investigating the quality of authentic materials for food and beverage service of the training center. This study applied Research and Development designed by Sugiyono (2014). The steps were identifying potential and problem, collecting data, designing product, validating design, revising design, and testing product. The subjects of this research were the 25 students of Food and Beverage Service of Monarch Cruise Line and Hospitality Training Center Dalung, 3 teachers of English for Food and Beverage Service, and 6 hotels and 1 villa managers of Food and Beverage Service Departments (stakeholders). The results show that the hotels and villas needed employees who are able to communicate in English in any situations in hotels or restaurants. There are eight main topics in the developed materials: welcoming guests, handling telephone, handling room service, taking order, serving food, handling payment, handling complaint, and giving information. The listening activities in the developed materials consist of pre-listening, while listening and post listening. Every unit in the developed materials are completed with some cases for practices. The results of the expert judgments toward the developed materials were excellent and the implementations of the developed materials were also excellent based on teachers’ and students’ point of views. Moreover, the listening materials gave positive impact to students’ listening skills that can be seen from the increase of the mean score after the implementations. keyword : English for food and beverage service, listening, authentic materials

Abstract

Bali is one of the main tourist destinations in Indonesia. The island of Bali which is known to be known almost all over the world is one of the most favorite destinations. The large number of domestic and foreign tourists who come to Bali make the tourism industry in Bali grow rapidly. Most of the livelihoods of Balinese people are also in the tourism industry.The existence of a commission system in the world of tourism provides an opportunity for everyone to earn additional income by inviting them to do tourism activities. These opportunities have a positive impact on the wider community in generating additional income without having to leave their main job. To facilitate ordering tourism activities, this research has developed an information system for ordering tourism activities at Anexplore.id. In addition, this research also discusses the distribution of commissions for those registered as freelance agents. The programming language used in this research is PHP using the Agile method as the system foundation. This research succeeded in developing an information system for ordering tourism activities in a bold manner, with the results of testing the functionality of the system using black box testing. It can be said that the system built can run well.

Abstract

The impact of the spread of the COVID-19 virus on educational institutions is changing the education system into online learning. One of the formal educational institutions affected by this change is SMA Negeri 1 Sukawati. This school previously developed a Moodle-based learning information system in early 2020 with the aim of helping the online learning process. Starting from UTBK activities that require a system to accommodate student scores and the need for online learning activities. However, based on the results of unstructured interviews obtained from the admin, teachers, and students, that there are still many shortcomings in Moodle E-Learning. The lack of a system that has been mentioned will have an impact on the performance of the Moodle system in supporting online learning activities. The method used is the SDLC research method with a prototype development model. The results of the study used the PSSUQ questionnaire which consisted of 4 categories, namely the SYSUSE category (usability) of 3.27, INFOQUAL (information) of 3.37, the INTQUAL category (display) of 3.40, and the OVERALL category of 3.18. The results of the PSSUQ score where the INTQUAL category gets the lowest score or close to a scale of 7 or is interpreted as less good so an interview is needed with the result that the Moodle Information System in terms of appearance is acceptable, but not yet attractive to users as a whole, then in terms of functionality, the Moodle Information System has several functions that have not run properly and tested using the Black Box method, and resulted in an average overall score of 100, which means that the overall function is very good.

Abstract

Abstrak. Usia 4-5 tahun yang dikenal dengan istilah Anak Usia Dini adalah masa-masa terbaik anak-anak untuk mendapatkan pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan usianya, karena pada fase tersebut atau yang disebut (Golden Age) Anak-anak mampu menyerap pembelajaran dengan baik. Dalam kegiatan belajar, sekolah memiliki Rencana Program Pembelajaran Mingguan yang telah disusun dan disepakati oleh seluruh pengajar. Rencana Program Pembelajaran Mingguan memuat rencana materi yang akan dipelajari selama satu minggu, serta memuat metode pembelajaran yang akan digunakan. Secara umum metode yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran untuk anak usia dini adalah bercerita, namun dalam penerapannya masih ada kekurangan dalam metode tersebut, yaitu anak-anak cenderung kurang memperhatikan, dan lebih memilih bermain bersama teman-temannya. Artikel ini membahas mengenai pembuatan media interaktif sebagai inovasi metode belajar yang memungkinkan mendapatkan perhatian anak-anak dalam kegiatan belajar, dalam media interaktif tersebut berisikan gambar, video, serta lagu anak-anak. Metode LutherSutopo digunakan dalam pembuatan media interaktif ini, karena metode Luther-Sutopo adalah metode yang memiliki tahapan yang mudah dipahami serta mudah dalam penerapannya. Hasil pembuatan media interaktif ini termasuk dalam kategori sangat efektif untuk membantu anakanak dalam proses pembelajaran. Kata Kunci: Media Interaktif, Kegiatan Pembelajaran, Anak Usia Dini, Metode Luther-Sutopo Abstract. Ages 4-5 years, known as Early Childhood, are the best times for children to get learning according to their age, because in that phase or what is called (Golden Age) Children are able to absorb learning well. In learning activities, the school has a Weekly Learning Program Plan that has been prepared and agreed upon by all teachers. Weekly Learning Program Plans contain material plans to be studied for one week, as well as contain learning methods that will be used. In general, the method used in learning for early childhood is storytelling, but in its application, there are still deficiencies in the method, namely children tend to pay less attention, and prefer to play with their friends. This article discusses the making of interactive media as an innovative learning method that allows getting the attention of children in learning activities, in that interactive media containing images, videos, and children's songs. Luther-Sutopo method is used in making this interactive media, because the Luther-Sutopo method is a method that has stages that are easy to understand and easy to apply. The results of making interactive media are included in the category of very effective to help children in the learning process. Abstract

Abstrak. Sistem pengolahan data akademik serta pendistribusiannya yang masih dilakukan secara manual kepada pihak-pihak terkait di lingkungan SMP Negeri 1 Petang menimbulkan kendala, terutama pada saat hari libur, sebab aktivitas tersebut harus dilakukan oleh pihak manajemen akademik dari lingkungan sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan model Sistem Informasi Akademik Berbasis Web yang dapat digunakan untuk mengelola data aktivitas akademik, serta mendistribusikan kepada pihak terkait kapan saja dan dimana saja. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research anda Development, dengan mengikuti tahapan-tahapan dalam metode Pengembangan Rational Unified Process. Desain sistem menggunakan model berorientasi objek Unified Modeling Language, sedangkan implementasi desain menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP, CSS, dan JavaScript, serta database MySQL. Hasil Analisis sistem mengusulkan beberapa kebutuhan fungsional utama berupa: pendataan siswa, guru, mata pelajaran, kelas, jadwal pembelajaran dan ujian oleh Petugas Akdemik; pendataan kehadiran dan nilai oleh Guru; penyajian berbagai informasi aktivitas akademik kepada Guru, siswa, dan orang tua siswa. Fitur-fitur fungsional pada aplikasi diuji dengan metode Blackbox Testing. Hasil pengujian Blackbox menunjukkan fitur-fitur fungsional pada aplikasi telah berjalan sesuai kebutuhan pengguna.Kata Kunci: Sistem Informasi Akademik; Sekolah Menengah Pertama; Berbasis Web Abstract. The academic data processing system and its distribution which is still done manually to related parties in the SMP Negeri 1 Petang environment creates obstacles, especially during holidays, because these activities must be carried out by the academic management of the school environment. The purpose of this research is to develop a Web-Based Academic Information System model that can be used to manage academic activity data, and distribute it to related parties anytime and anywhere. The research uses the Research and Development method, by following the stages in the Rational Unified Process Development method. The system design uses the Unified Modeling Language object-oriented model, while the design implementation uses the PHP, CSS, and JavaScript programming languages, as well as the MySQL database. The results of the system analysis propose several main functional requirements in the form of: data collection for students, teachers, subjects, classes, learning schedules and exams by Academic Officers; data collection of attendance and grades by the teacher; presentation of various information on academic activities to teachers, students, and parents of students. The functional features of the application are tested using the Blackbox Testing method. The results of the Blackbox test show that the functional features of the application have been running according to user needs.Keywords: Academic Information System; Junior High School; Web-Based

Abstract

The aim of this study is on evaluating the ability of students of STMIK Primakara in the academic year 2019/2020 in mastering clause connectors. The norm-referenced measures of five standard values were used to analyze the data. The students were 187 students who have heterogeneous characteristics as the population. In taking the sample, quota random sampling technique was used. There were 30 students determined as the sample of the study by using quota random sampling technique. The data analysis result showed that: (1) 6.67% had excellent ability; (2) 30.00% had good ability; (3) 13.33% had sufficient ability; (4) 46.67% s had insufficient ability, (5) 3.33% had poor ability in mastering clause connectors. If the outcome of the study were applied as the basis for the sample’s degrees, then there was 50.00% who failed in learning and acquiring clause connectors, and the rest 50.00% was good enough in learning and acquiring clause connectors. It meant that the acquisition of clause connectors by the students was sufficient. The data of the study conducted was considered to have fairly amount of validity and reliability, as there were many factors that could interfere the conclusions. The result of the study conducted can help to improve planning for teaching specifically in understanding clause connectors.

Abstract

Kecenderungan mahasiswa membaca bacaaan digital memicu dibuatnya Perpustakaan Digital Primakara (Prili) untuk memenuhi kebutuhan mahasiswa agar dapat meningkatkan minat membaca. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh perpustakaan digital, varian koleksi bacaan digital, dan literasi digital terhadap minat membaca mahasiswa STMIK Primakara. Penelitian dilakukan kepada seluruh mahasiswa STMIK Primakara dengan jumlah sampel 242 orang dengan teknik simple random sampling. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah deskripsi dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perpustakaan digital, varian koleksi bacaan digital, dan literasi digital berpengaruh signifikan terhadap minat membaca mahasiswa di STMIK Primakara. Hasil dari penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi kepada lembaga untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan perpustakaan digital dan meningkatkan kesadaran mahasiswa akan pentingnya kegiatan membaca untuk meningkatkan pola berpikir kritis.

So, there are quite a lot of tour guides in Bali.The existence of a commission system in the world of tourism provides an opportunity for everyone to earn additional income by inviting them to do tourism activities. These opportunities have a positive impact on the wider community in generating additional income without having to leave their main job.In this research, interviews were conducted on the True Bali Experience reservation, 63 freelance agents who are also users of tourism activities and 33 users of tourism activities. The results of interviews obtained from freelance agents hope that the booking process for tourism activities can be done online.In order to facilitate ordering these tourism activities, this research has developed an information system for online ordering of tourism activities at Anexplore.id. In addition, this research also discusses the distribution of commissions for those who are registered as freelancing agents. The programming language used in this research is PHP using the Agile method as the system foundation. This research has succeeded in developing an information system for booking tourism activities online, using a system functionality test using black box testing.Keywords: Freelance, Agile, PHP, Online Ordering.ABSTRAKBali merupakan salah satu tujuan wisata utama di Indonesia. Pulau Bali yang dikenal hampir di seluruh dunia menjadi salah satu destinasi favorit. Banyaknya wisatawan domestik dan mancanegara yang datang ke Bali membuat industri pariwisata di Bali berkembang pesat. Sehingga, pemandu wisata di Bali jumlahnya terbilang cukup banyak.Adanya sistem komisi dalam dunia pariwisata memberikan peluang bagi setiap orang untuk mendapatkan penghasilan tambahan yaitu dengan cara mengajaknya untuk melakukan aktivitas wisata. Peluang tersebut tentunya memberikan dampak yang positif bagi masyarakat luas dalam menghasilkan pendapatan tambahan tanpa meninggalkan pekerjaan utamanya.Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan wawancara kepada reservation True Bali Experience, 63 agen tenaga lepas yang sekaligus menjadi pengguna aktivitas wisata dan 33 pengguna aktivitas wisata. Hasil wawancara yang didapat dari agen tenaga lepas mengharapkan agar proses pemesanan aktivitas wisata dapat dilakukan secara daring. Agar memudahkan pemesanan aktivitas wisata tersebut, maka pada penelitian ini dikembangkan sistem informasi pemesanan daring aktivitas wisata di Anexplore.id. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga membahas pembagian komisi bagi yang terdaftar menjadi agen tenaga lepas. Bahasa pemrograman yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu PHP dengan menggunakan metode Agile sebagai fondasi sistem. Penelitian ini berhasil mengembangkan sistem informasi pemesanan aktivitas wisata secara daring, dengan menggunakan uji fungsionalitas sistem menggunakan black box testing.Kata Kunci : : Tenaga Lepas, Agile, PHP, Pemesanan Daring

Abstract

The purpose of this service activity is to improve the ability of teachers at SMP PGRI 5 Denpasar in managing online classes by providing online class management training based on the Google Classroom and Edpuzzle applications. The method of implementing this activity is lecture, practice, and discussion. Lectures were conducted to deliver material on the stages of classroom management using Google Classroom and using videos on Edpuzzle. The participants of this activity were all teachers of SMP PGRI 5 Denpasar totaling 40 people. For online class management, participants were given training in class management and grades, using forums, and making materials and quizzes. For the use of videos as learning materials, participants were training in choosing videos, editing videos, inserting messages and questions as well as multiple choices. The results of this service activity are as many as 72,5% of participants have been able to manage online classes and integrate with Edpuzzle. Partners have also agreed to use Google Classroom and Edpuzzle for learning for the 2021/2022 academic year.
