Abstract

Principals as leaders are required to maintain the quality of education quality in their institutions. Quality quality can be maintained if good and continuing supervision is carried out. In addition, the choice of lead style is a determining value in implementing quality control to improve the effectiveness of the teacher's performance. This study aims to determine the relevance of leadership, supervision and performance in educational institutions. This article is the result of library research. The data of this study were collected through reading text, theory and relevant research and then analyzed by descriptive-verification method. The results of the study concluded that there was a link between leadership and supervision with teacher performance. The principal as the school leader is obliged to regulate and determine administrative functions including the supervision function with various options such as authoritarianism, democracy or lazzie fire. To the school as a supervisor in supervising the performance of the teacher it will be successful if the headmaster pays attention to the results achieved and treats the teacher well.

Abstract

Abstrak Kualitas mutu Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) dapat diukur melalui mekanisme akreditasi. Pelaksanaan akreditasi dapat terwujud apabila ada kepedulian dari pengelola untuk mengajuakan akreditasi lembaganya. Banyaknya Lembaga PAUD yang belum terakreditasi menjadi masalah tersendiri dalam upaya peningkatan mutu pendidikan di Papua Barat. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan membuktikan pengaruh sosialisasi dan pendampingan akreditasi terhadap motivasi akreditasi pengelola PAUD di Provinsi Papua Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan populasi 931 lembaga dan diambil sampel sebanyak 150 sampel lembaga. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan sampel dengan Teknik simple random sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan menggunakan data skunder dari BAN Provinsi Papua Barat berupa arsip nilai akreditasi lembaga. Analisis data menggunakan regresi berganda dengan taraf kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara sosialisasi dan pendampingan terhadap motivasi akreditasi pengelola PAUD. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah semakin besar rutin dilakukan sosialisasi dan pendampingan maka akan semakin banyak Lembaga yang mengusulkan akreditasi dan sebaliknya. Kata kunci: Sosialisasi, Pendampingan, Motivasi Akreditasi Abstract The quality of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) can be measured through an accreditation mechanism. The implementation of accreditation can be realized if there is concern from the manager to apply for the accreditation of the institution. The number of PAUD institutions that have not been accredited has become a problem in efforts to improve the quality of education in West Papua. The research aims to find out and prove the effect of socialization and accreditation assistance on the motivation of PAUD management accreditation in West Papua Province. This study uses a quantitative approach with a population of 931 institutions and a sample of 150 institutional samples. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using secondary data from BAN West Papua Province in the form of an archive of accreditation scores for institutions. Data analysis used multiple regression with a confidence level of 95%. The results showed that there was a positive and significant effect between socialization and mentoring on the motivation of PAUD management accreditation. The conclusion obtained is that the greater the routine socialization and assistance, the more institutions will propose accreditation and vice versa.

Abstract

Strengthening governance, accountability, and public image is a work of the national education plan. This policy aims to improve the capacity and competency management and budgeting of education in the implementation and management to realize transparent and accountable education so as to create the image and services of the school/madrasah quality sound and accountable manner. These objectives can be achieved through, autonomy and decentralization of education, school-based management/madrasah, community-based management, and image enhancement.

Abstract

Pesantren is an institution of education and teaching of Islam in which interaction occurs between kyai or ustadz as a teacher and santri as students. Therefore, professional management should be pursued to pursue superior and modern pesantren. This study aims to understand the concept of sharpening pesantren in marginal society. The method used is a literature study or literature review with several relevant references. The results of the study indicate that the understanding that pesantren is a traditional educational institution with the principle of values-oriented to the problem of divinity, so that its management less attention and more conventional. Implementation of Total Quality Management becomes important to be applied which is generally implemented in a qualified pesantren. Management aspects that can be applied to the scope of the pesantren include using the concept according to Harold Koontz with the POSLC function system (planning, organizing, staff, charismatic leading and controlling). Furthermore, a leader must have a high dedication, breakthrough, good communication, financial considerations, skilled emotions and become a good listener.

Abstract

In developing a madrasa, it requires a leader or madrasa head who is capable and has leadership skills. the quality of madrasas is determined by the quality of madrasa head leadership. The madrasa head can successfully lead the madrasa if he understands the existence of a madrasa as a complex and unique organization, and is able to carry out his role as a leader, manager, administrator and supervisor. In order to carry out their duties properly, a madrasa head needs to have professional subordinates, in this case, the teacher. Every step of a teacher in dealing with every task and responsibility entrusted to him needs to be carried out as well as possible. This is the meaning of professionalism itself. The purpose of this research is to prove the influence between the implementation of the duties of the madrasah headteacher professionalism. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of descriptive research and data analysis using the SPSS 16 For Windows program. The population in this study were all teachers in Sorong City Model MTs, totaling 43 people as respondents. The results of the data analysis showed that there was an influence between the implementation of the duties of the madrasah headmaster on the professionalism of teachers in the Sorong City Model MTs, which only affected 10.5%, the rest of which was 89.5% influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Morals in presenting subject matter are sometimes monotonous. Teachers are more likely to use the lecture method in learning, thereby making students bored. Therefore, researchers chose one cooperative learning model, namely the Mind Mapping learning model to improve student learning outcomes. This model uses a grouping system consisting of 2-5 people, which in the implementation stage includes the discussion stage, thinking together to express ideas from the problem concept given by the teacher, asking questions, and answering questions. This study aims to determine the increase in learning outcomes in the subjects of Islamic Morals through the Mind Mapping learning model. This type of research is Classroom Action Research conducted in 2 cycles, namely Cycle I conducted 2 meetings and Cycle II 2 meetings. The subjects of this study were students of Class VII MTs Az-Zikra, Sorong City in the odd semester of the 2016-2017 academic year of 21 students. The object of research is student learning outcomes which are divided into three domains, namely cognitive, affective and psychomotor. Data collection techniques used were observation and tests. The collected data were analyzed both qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data is data in the form of a sentence that gives a description of student expressions, the level of understanding of a subject, the learning process takes place and the like. While quantitative data uses descriptive statistical analysis with the application of SPSS 16.0, for example, finding an average value. The results of research based on the cognitive domain showed that there was an increase in the learning outcomes of the moral creed ie from the average value of student learning outcomes in Cycle I was 67.43 (low category) and in Cycle II amounted to 74.52 (low category) but there was an increase in the Cycle I. In Cycle I the number of students who finished as many as 9 people (42.85%), while in Cycle II it increased to 15 people (71.42%), and students who completed had reached 71.42% exceeding the expected target ie 65%. The affective domain looks changes after the teaching and learning process, both from the attitudes, behavior, interests, emotions, motivation, cooperation and coordination of each student which is done through direct observation and interaction. The psychomotor domain is seen from the results of observations or activities of students obtained during the learning process, such as asking questions, answering, responding, dare to submit opinions and draw conclusions from the material that has been submitted. Based on these results it can be concluded that there is an increase in learning outcomes of moral subjects in Sorong City Az-Zikra Class VII students after learning by using Mind Mapping Learning Model.

Abstract

Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Islamic Boarding School is a combination of Religion and general science. This Islamic boarding school still maintains its traditional system by using the method of sorogan and wetonan in carrying out the process of its education system especially in the study of classical books while the quality of education in the Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Islamic Boarding School is quite good. Educational programs in the Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Islamic Boarding School, namely formal education programs including Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) and Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs), non-formal education in the form of diniyah education for 6 years for SD/MI graduates and 3-year program for graduates MTs. The social program includes preaching and social activities of students. One of the factors supporting the implementation of the education system in the Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Islamic Boarding School which is urgent and important is the building. From year to year, Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Islamic Boarding School experienced a development starting with buying land or land until now it has become a building that can be occupied and to study Islam. The inhibiting factor in the implementation of the Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Islamic Boarding School is the most urgent matter in terms of dormitory because, with the increasing number of students, a large place for students to live or live is needed.

Abstract

In this study, the authors aim to explore as deeply as possible how the process of integration of the boarding school curriculum in public school is. In addition, the authors aim to identify the components in the integration of the boarding school curriculum to public schools. Because this integration adds 7 religious subjects to the SMP IT, while in the school there is already a religious lesson but only the scope of PAI which teaches only the outline of the discussion. Meanwhile, after the Pondok curriculum had been included, there were many changes, especially in religious studies that were more detailed and the students can master it more efficient. In this study, the authors use qualitative research methods because of seeing the location of the study. Integration is the merging of an object against other objects to get a new indication. It is the merging between content in the Islamic Boarding School and content in SMP IT Nurul Yaqin. The contents inside are subjects that are included, regulations and assumptions related to the integration of Schools Based Boarding School.

Abstract

This research aims to encourage the implementation of bold learning in the State Islamic HigherEducation since the COVID-19 outbreak. The research method uses the CIPP evaluation model developed by Stufflebeam. The number of samples is set at 263 at a 5% margin of error. Data was collected through an open survey technique with a questionnaire-assisted instrument form Google. Analysis data is used as a quantitative descriptive. The results of the study showed that the implementation of bold learning had been carried out well amid the co-19 pandemic. Contextindicators, inputs, processes, and average production are in a good category. Interesting finding students as learning objects of financial difficulties in fulfilling network access. The conclusion is a bold learning model that is quite effective and can be used as a learning medium accompanied byPandemic. In addition, as an agreement, an immediate policy on education costs must be carried out which is the impact of COVID-19.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi menulis artikel ilmiah melalui webinar pada guru di Papua Barat. Metode dampingan menggunakan Participatory Action Research (PAR). Peserta dampingan sebanyak 35 orang dari Kota dan Kabupaten Sorong. Digunakan empat tahapan dalam melakukan pendampingan yaitu, tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil pendampingan menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi guru dalam menulis artikel ilmiah mengalami peningkatan. Pada kondisi awal, guru memiliki kompetensi kurang baik (59,7) dan berhasil ditingkatkan menjadi baik (72,6). Dari pelaksanaannya, kegiatan webinar direspons positif dan sangat dibutuhkan guru (84,2) dalam upaya peningkatan kompetensi menulis artikel ilmiah. Kesimpulannya, pendampingan menggunakan webinar dapat menjadi pilihan dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru di Papua Barat saat pandemi Covid-19.
