<![CDATA[Abstrak: Pemeranan tokoh Scapin dalam naskah Akal Bulus Scapin merupakan perancangan akting komedi. Bentuk akting komedi ini memfokuskan pencarian bentuk-bentuk ekspresi yang karikatural. Tujuan dari pemeranan tokoh Scapin ini adalah agar pembaca khususnya pelaku seni peran agar dapat menemukan dan mengetahui cara bermain akting komedi tokoh Scapin dalam naskah Akal Bulus Scapin dengan permainan gaya akting komedi. Komedi farce digunakan sebagai metode dalam proses pemeranan tokoh dalam naskah ini. Proses penciptaan permainan akting komedi ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa seorang aktor terlebih dahulu harus paham tentang tiga dimensi tokoh yang akan dimainkannya: fisiologi, sosiologi, dan psikologi. Selain itu penting untuk mengeksplorasi gestur komikal, intensitas dan suara aktor, kecepatan (spontanitas) penampilan dan suara, pola-pola keganjilan (ketaklaziman), dan surprise (kejutan). This form of comedy focused on the search for comical expression acting.
